Friendly staff. Great location, right next to the subway. Within walking distance from restaurants, shops, parks. Check for weekend getaway fares on own website or big hotel booking portals.

Be aware that management does not allow date changes on your paid bookings! I would have liked to enjoy the wonderful reception conditions that we sell in all these comments but this will not even be the case because my reservation was never changed due to a NON definitive of the management. €150 who goes in smoke! Thanks Mercury! I will certainly not come back. Be careful with your reservations! Be of course dates…

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We had a few issues with the room but they were quick to fix any problem. The was a restaurant right next door and the metro station was right across the street, which was excellent.

Clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was a little expensive but OK.

The hotel respects the expectations, we enjoyed it.
The double room is quite spacious and comfortable for two people, the bed is very comfortable, there is the water kettle to make coffee soluble/tea (stocked every day). The minibar is empty, not that it is a disadvantage, there is only one bottle from 0, 5l of water offered for free. There is no courtesy kit for the bathroom, only the soaps, also in the shower there is a shampoo/Bath cleanser unique (not two divided), while the shower is for an open side so it is easy to soak out.
However, the location of the hotel is quite convenient, the area is quite quiet and is located in front of the Metro 6 stop with which you can reach the Eiffel Tower in 20 minutes without making changes.
Only flaw for those in the car, the hotel has a tiny car park (5 parking spaces) not booked, outside is not easily found parking and underground car parks are very expensive.
The staff are friendly, helpful, cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself is great, the rooms are well insulated and you don't hear noises from outside.
The breakfast is pretty and varied, the brioches are very good.

Excellent Hotel. Great location Services outside the framework of the hospitality (reception of parcels) really friendly. A very good troubleshooting kitchen. The breakfast (untested) seems very well constituted. Really a great place, good location. A little less: the bed is huge and occupies the blow far too much space in the room of 17 m2.

Good clean room and good cleaning staff. Hotel reception gave us directions to a pub that was closed but otherwise very helpful. Breakfast is good.

Very convenient level transport. All the staff are very friendly. Clean and well-equipped room. Have a nice breakfast. Lz everything for a decent price. Really, really good.

Far price, friendly staff, excellent (yet very expressive) breakfast, but: the rooms are tiny and the bathroom was just annoying. No place to put stuff and the shower was so tiny that I bumped my back into the water controls (constantly switching from ice cold to burning hot while moving in the shower) and smashed my head into the door. There was no room to move at all (and I'm not overly tall or overweight). One of the more excruciating shower experiences ever.

Very good place, clean, spacious, full and spacious rooms. For putting a stick, the heating is scarce in the room. As far as location is great, just out of the subway. It has several restaurants next door, and even a supermarket. The subway line is 2.

Regularly on professional displacement in the area, I try to book at maximum in this hotel, if the prices (very variable) allow.
Never had a problem of cleanliness of the rooms.
Exterior noise insulation is remarkable, interior insulation could be improved for some rooms.
Courteous, helpful and responsive staff.
It was a very expensive and varied breakfast.

I'm fine. The staff is professional. But not soundproof rooms. The door clicks are startled.
The mini fridge heats more than anything else. I don't understand the four stars.
I would recommend this hotel nonetheless. Especially for location.

Staff are nice. But hotel facilities does not correspond to 4 star hotel. E. G. There are no body lotion, shower cap… In the rooms. They should be there by default.

Stay from 19/06/2015 to 22/06/2015 (3 nights) As for the NOVOTEL Gare de Lyon, we wanted to test this hotel since a long time due to positive reviews. As we are a family of 3, it’s always difficult to get suitable rooms in MERCURE hotels (NOVOTEL are more suited to families). However this time we got the junior suite for 2 to 4 persons. We arrived at around midnight which is no big deal as reception is opened 24/24. No welcome drinks despite the fact that we are A|Club Platinum member (and early users of ACCOR hotels for the last 30 years now). We jumped on the elevator up to 7th floor and immediately noticed a strong smell from some air freshener. Situation is even worse on the 7th floor but hopefully not in the room. This is due to the use of carpets. Therefore this hotel is not for you if you have allergy issues! which is very unfortunately our case. Junior suite is rather small; you will have problems storing your suitcase even though we have rather small suitcases. Walls are very thin; you will hear quite well all activity in and especially the slamming doors (what a shock when you discover this especially early in the morning, I literally stood up in my bed). The HD TV set is great with rear light system. Bathroom is also fine with rain shower. There is an excellent noise insulation from the outside that works really well with the metro noise but not with cars on boulevard Vincent Auriol.

Very good hotel, clean and welcoming. Very professional, intent and smiling staff. Luxurious, well-appointed room, very comfortable bedding. Hotel well located, right next to a metro station (which we hear absolutely not because very well insulated) and 10 minutes from Austerlitz station. I would recommend this hotel.

Excellent value. Clean, spacious twin room for Paris and very quiet. Breakfast options are somewhat limited compared to the usual buffet, but it is top quality and partly organic.

The hotel is located next to metro station the area around it could be called as slightly run down. In the street behind hotel there are some dodgy looking people gathering in bunches like they have nothing else to do. Looked like drug dealers to me but could be just folks enjoying fresh air. Hotel is clean. Wear and tear here and there but nothing major. Room I was in was clean well equipped memory foam pillows big telly. Windows were able to be opened. MAJOR Letdown: NO air conditioning. Could not keep open windows since the noise coming from streets is very loud. Girl in reception said that it will be fixed next week but could be saying it every week. Breakfast was good. Buffet type everything you can expect from breakfast. Staff were nice and helpfull.

Although I have not yet gone I hope that I love.

Very good location, Metro station just 1 minutes (Riverside road to the station, go to montpanrnasse, go in the other direction is not very convenient). Nice and clean, but too small for a four star hotel. Barely able to place two small double beds. Breakfast here is a good choice.

Very nice standard hotel. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Good location in that there is a restaurant nearby and supermarket over the road and metro station directly in front. But to walk and "see Paris" the area is not the best choice but if you don't mind Metro or taxi it's great. The hotel itself is wonderful.

Stayed here 10/2011. It could have been such a nice hotel for the money, but they had shut down their airconditoning for the winter and the room was stifling. Sleeping with the window open wasn't a good option because it did not open more than a few inches and the street noise was intolerable. My shower drain was so slow that water spilled onto the bathroom floor whenever the shower was used. It took 3 requests before the manager showed up on my 4th day there and poured drano down the drain which did not fix the problem. Why couldn't they have simply had a maintenance person snake it clear? I pity all the poor people who are using this room after me.

Too year 70's to my taste.
