A quaint hotel, reasonably priced. The rooms are small, but modern and comfortable. Perfect for short stays and convenient to Gare de Lyon. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Clean in the city but the life can be an headache most especially when in the 4th floor.

This hotel is located exactly in front of the Gare de Lyon station. For those who are arriving in Paris from this station, the location is really strategic because it is perfectly connected with the center by various subway lines. Clean, spacious rooms, reception always available H24. Recommended.

I come here very regularly, in direct resa on the hotel site where prices have never been faulted.
Unbesure cleanliness, he never misses a towel or a handkerchief, top staff who seems to love his job.
It's a "three and a half" because all that's missing is the fridge in the room compared to the four of the edges. Table of trains at the reception in real time, so no need to trample in the station hall at 5 min.
Value for money unbeatable if you take it 1 month in advance. I hope it will last that way. I might better say it's very bad. But that would be a big lie☺

Very good, extremely clean; very comfortable bed (with oblong rather than square pillows! ). Lift. Newly (2017) redecorated etc v smart. Good sized shower. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, but does have hairdryer. Good breakfast (extra) : fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, (inc delicious warm croissants), cheese and ham, warm rolls, boil-your-own eggs. Extremely convenient for Gare de Lyon. Monoprix round the corner. V good local independent restaurant at the end of the road Le Duc de Richelieu : 'formule':3 courses available lunch and dinner about 17€ I think. We ate from the menu 3 courses with glass of wine and bottle sparkling water around 30€ each. Both recommended!

Hotel is an easy walk across the road from Gare du Lyon. Perfect location having caught the TGV from Dijon and needing to stay overnight before flying home to Australia and catching Le Bus Direct to CDG airport. Room lovely, staff helpful and pleasant and great Wifi.

Great location steps from Gare de Lyon. Large, nice looking rooms. Bathroom a bit impractical, very little counter space. Service iffy, room didn't get cleaned and used towels were removed but not replaced with new ones.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms seem to have recently been renovated. They are clean and comfortable. Very convenient hotel close to Lyon train station. The staff at the reception are very friendly and professional. Good value for money. Optional buffet breakfast.

Small hotel very well located opposite the Gare de Lyon. The room was nickel (clean, tidy, equipped with hair dryer and hygiene products) plus the staff is super welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast included with a lot of pastries.
The hotel is very well served by a metro and the city buses Top.

The hotel room was exactly like the photos. Rooms are air-conditioned. The staff were very friendly. The value for money is top. Due to the proximity to Gare de Lyon, you can also get anywhere very quickly.

Avoid, especially if you travel with children. We had a surprise charge of 50 euro on top of our booked rate for a toddler. The area is a bit sketchy, some intoxicated folks were yelling till 5am by our windows — on a weekday…

At the exit of the Gare de Lyon, a few steps from the Metro and the RER, there is a "small" friendly and pleasant hotel in the restful rooms. An original and modern décor…

Very close to Gare de Lyon, just across the street but the hotel in the maintenance, 9 in the morning began, very noisy walls like paper thin, next door room flushing will hear, the telephone rang and heard.
Check-in is not recommended until repair is completed. No refrigerator in the room, teapot, water Cup.

Given the location and the price, this is a very good hotel. The beds are very comfortable, the thick curtains ensure a good night's sleep. The bathroom is small but adequate. The public areas look a little bit run down but if all you're looking for is a decent night's sleep then this place is ideal.

Hotel strategically located, just 50 meters from the metro station and Gare de Lyon. The double room very small but pretty. Overall the rating is positive considering the location the price contained.

It was very close to the city centre and the bus stop to the airport. The rooms are very small and very friendly.

Very close to Gare de Lyon, this hotel is cosy but has every thing you need for an overnight stay. The room was small but nicely appointed. It was snowing the night I arrived so the warm of the room was very much appreciated. Would have liked a facewasher in the linens but otherwise nothing to complain about.

Very clean Hotel for Paris, one less star for the Internet connection worthy of the most remote places of France and breakfast not top (I made reassembled I was worthy that the fiber is planned for Mars and that it was going to make changes for breakfast)

Excellent hotel with great location. Next to the gare de lyon and le point direct bus. Staff very helpful. They allow you to leave your bag at the hotel after you check out, there is even a space reserved for that. I recommend!

Very good hotel Gare de Lyon. Uses 2 times, in room for 1 person on the last floor: very good reception, very clean room, decoration reminiscent of the PLM of the Belle Epoque in headboard, excellent bedding, but the size of the room and the bathroom is really minimum (old C Hambres of good buildings Haussmann) … the other rooms are I think of normal size but I do not know them. Other small bemol: the price. In December 2016, I had paid the chamber of Memory €99 and this year beginning February, for the same type of room on the same floor, always for 1 person, and even services, €150…? Has there been a change in the number of stars in the meantime? I wait for their explanations… otherwise nothing to complain.

3 * * * hotel, very nice close to Gare de Lyon. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a quiet room (on inner courtyard). Modern and comfortable room (and not tiny), bathroom of the same level. Decent breakfast for a moderate price €10.
Rolls, breads, fruit juices (not fresh — should not dream), small buffet with ham and cheese eggs. Frankly I recommend, I will come back with pleasure.

Room is cosy. But tiny! Excellent location, with easy access to Metro, TGV and a short walk to RER A. Surrounded by food joints.

We loved this hotel, you are maybe 3 minutes from the Gare du Nord station and can easily access the whole city from this location. The rooms are all modern and updated and spacious for Paris. Breakfast is good a little basic but everything you need, although there are several bakeries in walking distance. The staff was also very nice and we had no problems with the elevator and the room was easy to fall asleep in.

Recently renovated, conveniently close to Gare de Lyon. Tried to book for a second trip after 6 months, the price had increased by 20-30%, so I went somewhere else. Still, it's recommended for those who need to travel by train.

This is a good place to stay. Very close access to the metro and trains. I would stay anytime I'm in Paris. The rooms are clean and contemporary. The staff is professional. A good buy if the price is right.

The room was good. Everyday cleaned by service team. The location was perfect to start or end with trains or bus. My stay at 5th floor was wonderful until their one and only lift out of service. Thank god, they helpful to bring my big luggage by stairs to check out. Ask for airport service from hotel. They provide it with limited seat but cheaper than uber/taxi.

Small room and lift, they tool the room card each time you leave, price is ok comparing to hotels around, near the metro station.

Room was nicely updated with a small view of Gare de Lyon. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was perfect.

The hotel room was modern, clean, and roomy by European standards. What stands out is the service. My door did not open due to a failed mechanism. The front desk man, new at his job, worked tirelessly to get it fixed, extend courtesy, and went out of his way to solve the problem. It is for this employee I give four stars and would come back.

Hotel Palym is my favorite hotel to stay at in Paris! I stayed there in July 2014 for 4 days (3 poeple) and again recently in July 2016 for 5 days (2 people). I love the Gare de Lyon district and the hotel's proximity to the airport shuttle stop, the metro and various trains that take you outside Paris. It is conveniently priced, has a lot of great restaurants nearby and offers great customer service! The rooms are very modern with old world charm, character and balconies with breathtaking views of the Gare de Lyon! I highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Much too noisy hotel. Sleep cut several times in the night door Slam, rattlesnake hunting waters, and street noise.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and very clean. The receptionist very helpful and friendly.

Pleasant small balcony opening onto street. Tall coved ceilings. Large carved stone fireplace with tall mirror above. King size bed. Nice bathroom. Room somewhat larger than most in two-star Paris hotels. Elevator. Wifi. One block from Gare de Lyon with many sidewalk cafés, as well as the historic brasserie le Train Bleu, nearby. An excellent value.

Location: Great, just next to the Gare de Lyon and metro station. Rooms: Adequate, weren't cleaned every day, tiny. Service: HORRIBLE. We had a triple room for 3 adults and a one year old baby, which was okay with them when the reservation was made. Somehow, the manager (who was EXTREMELY rude) did not know about the additional baby and went berserk. She literally kicked us out of the hotel with 3 very large suitcases and a very upset teething baby in a stroller. When we tried to reason with her she threatened to call the police. Spent the day walking the streets of Paris looking for a hotel. I've stayed here before, but will NEVER do so again. Cheaper, higher rating hotels are available in very good locations.

Stayed there one night mid June 2008. We were 7 people in my gang, divided on three rooms. No complaints. Good breakfeast from 0700. Very close to Gare de Lyon railway station, about two minutes on foot door to door. Very nice interior. The two consierges we met during our stay were friendly and happy to talk english, they also helped with metro (subway) navigation information. I think that Hotel Palym is good value for money Daniel.
