Excellent location, great service, nice room. Juan was working the front desk and was super helpful. The location was great for authentic Paris and avoiding tourist crowds with lots of great walkable restaurants and bars.

Extremely small double room but still very nice hotel. I wouldn't stay there unless the room was very discounted though.

We will tell all friends and relatives about the great hotel. A golden handle. The area absolutely good. What more do you want? Happy to return.

Rooms are tiny, smells bad, carpets looks very used and clean, best description is "used" (old). Amenities aren't satisfying as well. Well, not worth the money (~$280/n) paid. It's probably 3 starts, but the raining now is too high, so need to be decreased not to misled others.

Great location near lots of cafes and bars and stores. Surroundings can get a bit rowdy at night, we passed a couple of fights on our way back to the hotel, but nothing too off-putting. Also, just a short 5min walk away from the nearest metro station. The staff is attentive and helpful, and can communicate in English which was a big plus for me. Rooms were cozy, with large windows that open up to the bustling street below. Bathroom was small, and kind of leaked out into the carpet just outside the bathroom door, leaving a perpetual wet spot. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again!

A beautiful location, right next to the Place de la Bastille. The rooms are clean, well decorated and the prices are not excessive (at least for Paris).

The hotel is lovely, really nicely decorated and kept clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and rooms are nice. It's a great location for checking out all the Paris has to offer and is very reasonably priced. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.

Well run hotel, clean room, excellent shower. Rooms are small, but have TV, tea and coffee facilities, pay minibar, safe, desk and wardrobe. Room service is available. Staff speak English and were professional.

Great value hotel in a chic area of town that is full of bars. Make sure you ask for a room over courtyard if you can as much quieter on a weekend. Cool room designs. Bed was good, not great. Service excellent with multilingual staff. Decent cardio equipment range. Some issues with AC in gym but otherwise great value.

Very friendly staff. Rooms, though very small, are extremely clean. Shower stall is nice. Hotel also has a sauna. They have umbrellas to lend.

Christian Lacroix has created an extravagant yet welcoming world. The designer has chosen to depict all the layers and periods of this little corner of eastern Paris, from its artisan origin to the “fashionist” vocation of today. Each room is a unique and comfortable setting and the bathrooms are very well made with large Italian showers and colorful tiles. A great starting point to the area.

Very friendly front desk staff. They keep your fob-key while you are out. We had an inner courtyard room which was very quiet. There is a nightlife strip of bars around the corner on Rue de Lappe and a late night monop' (small monoprix grocery) at the Bastille end of that strip. The Karen Bauer/Chez Paul across the street has good coffee and quiche. Rooms are clean but very small. There is almost a 2 foot gap on either bedside. The foot of the bed is maybe 4 foot wide. The entire bathroom is about 3.5' x 7' The bathroom is shower only. The cleaning staff likes to strangely put a wet dab of water on the end of the toilet roll probably to keep it from unrolling. A metal roll cover would fix that. It is weird to have a wet dot if you return to your room shortly after room service. The shampoo/shower gel works but is a poor shampoo if that matters. Towels are very large and soft. Desk is compact. More shelves above the toilet and towel hooks would also help. There almost no room for you toiletries and the plush towels. I would stay here again for the right market price.

Really cousy and nicely decorated little hotel. Small rooms but you are not in Paris to hang out in the hotel room. Comfortable bed and the staff is super friendly. We did not try the breakfast but it looked okay. Loses a top rank because of sometimes problem with Wi-Fi. Good location. Strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Paris!

Very close to the Bastille. 50 metres from the metro stop, close to places to eat and shop for half price. It is a small hotel but good in quality price. It was worth it. Would!

They stole my computer and personal belongings from the room, and the manager Pascal Palvadau has mistreated and lied to me. They made me loose time making the declaration at the police station, and they gave me nothing in return telling me the insurance would cover the expenses. Nothing like that happened at all. I payed for the whole stay expecting my money to be returned as promised, and and they are clearly washing their hands on this situation.

The hotel has just been renovated and has benefited from the eye of the designer is Mr Christian Lacroix. I stayed in a room on the 2nd and I could visit all other types of rooms. The staff is very professional and warm, they allowed me to visit other types of rooms that are all perfectly in tune with the district. Although some are small, they are very well appointed and very quiet despite the fervor of the neighborhood.
My stay was very successful, I hope that the following will also be.

Week asked their booking confirmation for a visa, when this was already paid for accommodation! No sound insulation! There is no lift. Socket near one of the ceilings it includes a TV, Hairdryer not working. The stairs are spiral and narrow. Arrival time change at its own discretion, the Luggage storage is not available, the bags simply stand near the reception Desk.

Execrable welcome by the species of bald at the entered… unable to visited the rooms. This place in really avoided. (Please avoid that Hotel, you won't be welcome).

It is the worst thing that I have seen over the trips that I have made. I identify totally with the first comment that there is; it is old, no elevator, having to walk up with luggage, even up to the fifth floor, after climbing up to a second or third and go through a hallway to continue to rise, in the stairwell very narrow. In my case, without lockers (a foreign object to put the clothes, with three or four perches to one side), curtain attached to a bar, to his time attached to a socket in the ceiling by a cord or cable; no towel rack to hang towels, only bath towels, no toilet… in the end a penalty, for not saying another thing. In its favor: it is well situated and the clothing used (bedding, towels, etc) is very clean.
