ABSOLUTELY ABOMINABLE! Run away! We booked through booking and we regretted it. The photos are quite deceptive! Without talked about the dirtiness of rooms : Toothpaste in the bathroom, hair and pubic hair, blood on the armchairs and bedside table, and I pass! We tried to find a solution with the manager who was aggressive! Has us to fight now with Booking and with this hotel!

Small, cozy hotel, well central and quiet. Rich breakfast buffet.

Very poor maintain, bad odour in the room. Holes in toilet wall, no Wi-Fi.

Very disappointed Bath is very small. Smell bad no Wi-Fi at all bads towels is never back to this "hotel"

Hotel located a stone's throw from the metro. Lots of restaurants around here.

Freindly and helpful staff but the room is very small. No elevator. The toilet is small and smells bad and the room is very heated.

I had the pleasure to stay for a 1 week vacation at Royal Bastille. The room was perfect, clean, new furniture, flat TV, clean sheets, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Breakfast is excellent, everything is fresh and tasty. A special 5 stars feedback for Covi from reception desk, was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel, ideal for a holiday in Paris! Affordable price, at just 50 m far from subway, Bastille station. % stars for everything! Merci Beaucoup!

Hotel "half hair". Cheap and noticeable in its quality and attention, to get out of a hurry works but would not come back. Very good location.

If you need a bed, you have few options, and you want something cheap, this hotel is sufficient. I needed a hotel VERY last minute and this was what I found. The bed was not comfortable (very little support), but it also was not terrible. The room I had was very small, but it was certainly big enough for one person. The bathroom was actually pretty clean and appeared to have been renovated relatively recently. However, the only soap in the bathroom was in a container that was a refill for a soap dispenser, but there was not actually a soap dispenser in the room. So I had to open the container and pour soap into my hands to use it. Not the biggest problem, but you might expect a bar of soap in even the least expensive of hotels. My major concern is that right before checkout (and it was indeed before checkout time, not AT checkout time, nor AFTER checkout time), the cleaning staff went into my room for something while I was out, and then left the door open. It wasn't just unlocked; it was visibly open, and all of my stuff was inside, including my laptop. I want to be clear that it's fine if they had to go into my room for something, or if they thought I had left, went in, and then realized I hadn't left yet. The gentleman at the front desk tried to provide reasons for why they might have done it, which a) I had already been able to imagine on my own, and B) were really of no interest to me. The reasons don't matter. What matters is that they did it.

This hotel currently has a bed bug infestation and is not being habdlha properly. Avoid staying in room 205

It's a very small and old hotel but have a great localisation and very kindly staff.

Filthy Rooms. Avoid at all costs.

The worst. Lying pictures. We booked quadruple room and got triple + cot with broken grill. Bathroom: Dispenser Broken soap, we left the jar, dryer for use for 2 minutes, did not leave shampoo, broken shower. Lack of lights, not working. Q Rescue I print a voucher without charge. I'd never come back. I don't recommend it.

We asked for a quadruple and for that they added a cot (ghastly), broken shower, wall dispenser broken soap and to use they left us the bottle of this. Low illumination, many lights of sight xq do not light. The "Portable Shower" is also broken. Lack of taste and neglect the decoration. Q can be modest the place but Q things are broken or do not work give you a bad look. I do not recommend.

The room is in a bad condition, no light in the room. The bathroom is poorly kept and dirty. The beds are uncomfortable.
The little varied breakfast gives you a natural yogurt flavor, a half moon and half Baguet (French bread), burnt coffee and an orange juice. Where breakfast is for more or less 12 people as it filled. They cater to you one at a time, because there's only one girl.
Then you don't have elevators to raise or raise the suitcases, all by stairs.
The pictures must be old.

Horrible hotel. Dirty carpet, holes in the walls, mildew on the ceiling, leaky water pipes.

I had to change rooms at 3:00 in the morning because infested with bed bugs, to finally make a white night standing so as not to touch the infested sheets… the streets of Paris in the rain were cleaner than this hotel!

The hygiene service should visit and close this hotel. Infested with bed bugs that come to sting you under the sheets, this hotel makes you spend a most unpleasant night. The cold morning shower does not allow to forget the sleepless night spent in a small dirty and dilapidated room. The smell of mold does not give you the desire to stay for breakfast but rather to flee as soon as possible this place. Amazing to pay as expensive for such a dirty room! Be careful not to walk barefoot in the room at the risk of staying glued on one of the many chewing gum that decorate the carpet! Short to avoid without hesitation!

However the hotel is very good value for money and comfortable beds.

The dirtiest hotel I have been in, yet I did and in addition the staff is unpleasant… nothing works and everything is poorly gèré (problem of taps, molds on the walls of the room and in the sanitary). In addition the price 67 euros and exorbitant compared to the laborious service. Moreover I could not sleep from the insulation of the hotel and its direct proximity to the partier of Bastille. I strongly advise against…

Small room reserved at the last minute. Value for money correct, cheap so do not expect from the high end. Breakfast at €7 correct.

In pretension. Right in the middle. Not super comfort but value for money in competition.

Double room did not resemble the rooms on the picture and was very outdated (dirty not vacuumed plain carpet, peeling paint, …). Not clean, not hygienic. We found adult alive bed bugs and larvae in the bed…. The building and rooms really need to be renovated. Only positive aspects: location and relatively friendly staff.

It's not like they teach it on the internet and also dirty. They also charged more than they owed and did not return the money.

Too expensive for a two star advantage of the Proximte of the opera Bastille (10 minutes a foot)

Very very bad. We had a twin bed room and the bathroom was horrible. The water from the shower gets out of the shower area easily and there is no place for it in the bathroom floor. It all flooded out of the bathroom into the room. The towels they provided had yellow stains on them.

Worst hotel we have frequented mold from everywhere dirty carpets no hot water, hair dryer, bath mat, catch bed break and very very hard as well as dirty drape pillow no elevator to climb 5 floors (elderly) has our arrived Rnous had to book a triple room that was not ready for our arrival (4pm) heating leaking pictures shabby hotel.

Old and dirty I don't recommend at all.

It is a pity that we are sold from the dream in the photos… The toilets are also cleaned underneath, as well as the sink, for the record! Unable to rinse properly with shower pear… Curtain clips do not cost much, a little soap rather than the bottle to dispenser it's nice too! The noise, I want to say normal one is Rue de la Roquette so it moves but repairing the groom from the front door would be nice, it makes the whole building vibrate and wakes you up…
In short, it helps but not to look at the details, especially as one expects to arrive to a clean room, the stairs being more clean than the room!
The reception is nevertheless nice, but experience not to renew for me…

Value for money and especially family management are the best assets of this hotel well placed in the district.

Hotel good only for its location within walking distance of metro line. For the rest the hotel really only offers the essentials. The cleanliness of the rooms is definitely poor. The staff at the hotel are friendly. The photos they put on the web are misleading. Consider carefully before booking.

First overall effect deplorable, distressing bathroom but worst: bed bug! Obliged to change hotel in disaster… with fear of having carried larvae.

It is a hotel of small but very nice rooms, the bathroom is of good size and clean. Breakfast is sometimes included with coffee bread and juice. Near the Bastille Metro (300 m) restaurants nearby. Excellent location.

Excellent hotel, on Via Cola di Rienzo and a few blocks from the Vatican. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly. However the rooms look nothing like the photos and I got bed bugs. It has been almost 6 weeks since this hotel has said they would "refund me entirely" but the last two times I have called, they can't find my receipt, or the calls gets disconnected, etc… I would never stay here again.

The location of the hotel is good, the staff is nice and the rooms are small but not that bad. A good hotel to just spend the night at when visiting Paris.

The good: Quiet, clean, extremely close to metro stop, good water pressure, Wi-Fi is fast (but have to retype password every time you disconnect), friendly good English speaking staff. The not-so: Pics are misleading, tiny room, tiny bathroom, sub par mattress, sink plugged easily. Basically a hostel with a private bathroom. We paid 90+€. For the money, I would roll the dice and try elsewhere. Attention HCB: Shower is so tiny, you spend the entire time adjusting the curtain because every time you move you pull the curtain around as it's stuck to your back. Solution: Put in a curved shower curtain rod. You can make them cheap out of plumbing supplies if you need to and will double the shower size!

Lil cool hotel, well located, Ideal for troubleshooting, decent price compared to the neighborhood.

Negatives: not pleasant spring bed; thin walls = lots of noise inside the hotel morning.

I stayed here in the double room for 8 nights. I payed 105 euros per a night. My room is in the 4th floor as the ground level is zero. There was only one window that was broken in my room. A mirror in the both room was also broken. There was a Wireless LAN network, but its power was very low and the connection is unstable. The bath and the toilet is in the same room. There is not an elevator. You have to carry your heavy luggage using a narrow wooden stair. There is a good point about this hotel. That is it's very near from the station, Bastille. In summary, I felt that Hotel Central Bastille is expensive since the equipment is cheap. I will not stay there again.

Correct, clean and very well located (in the District of la Bastille, 2 steps of opera and of very lively streets, full of shops, restaurants and bars). The only thing: a noisy Street but that does not remove you the charm to our room. Paris is a beautiful city, with a stunning Haussmanian architecture. What a shame that we had to return so soon, there is so much to see! To which we will return.
