Very nice hotel. Convenient location, almost in the center. Near the station. The rooms are neat but small. Good quality beds, decent air conditioning. The staff is neat and not Intrusive. Breakfast is very good, though without special dishes. The juice did not drink, not very tasty. And the rest is very decent.

I chose to stay there because it's close to the train station (Gare de l'est) that I was planning to board a train from, to another European city. Pluses: + Location: A number of good places to eat, plus coffee shops. You are literally above a train station that can take you anywhere in Paris. + Rooms were clean. Minuses: — Rooms were extremely small. — Breakfast was below average in terms of variety and taste. Having stayed in Paris for a while, I'd say it's the typical French breakfast (cheese, eggs, yogurt, toast etc). Overall, I liked the hotel. The price was a bit high but that's because it's in the city center. I think it's not really a 4 star hotel. However, I did not have any issues with my stay and I don't mind staying there again.

Stayed here a week ago on a weekend visit and stayed in an executive suite. The room was lovely. Spacious, good air conditioning, balcony with restricted view. The hotel service was fantastic. I arrived 2hrs early. They let me check-in straight away which meant I could have a lie down after a hectic journey. Location is superb. Buffet breakfast was included with a good selection. Coffee was good which is always more important for me! Get there early before it gets busy.

Awful customer service! We booked a superior room for 4 days and also a standard room for 2 days at the end of July and the airconditioning in superior room was awful! We asked the reception to check it and they changed our room but there was no difference at all! We asked them to refund our money because the temperature was 36C on those days and it was unbearable to stay in that room but they told us that we can not refund your money! When we went to the reception again and asked for a fan, one of the staffs gave us bad looks and started to talk about us in the office and in front of us. We were waiting to receive the fan for 2 days! They did not tell us if you change the size of the room, you will have a better airconditioning just to charge us. We paid around €800 only for the superior room and around €300 for the standard room for this kind of service! We were not asking for a favour and it should be a part of customer service. I am so sorry for this international hotel that employs unprofessional & rude staffs!

Not the best Holiday Inn in Paris but offers an acceptable experience with rooms that have been tastefully redone recently even though they are small just like the bathroom. Modern bathroom with Italian shower. Breakfast in the establishment standard but it is not always possible to find a place from 7.45am. Flats of room service good but quite expensive and limited choice.

Very uncomfortable Pillows. Noisy Doors.
Summary Cleaning. The carpet should be removed and the curtains washed.
In a drawer of the room found even tube of Vaseline! Disappointing Breakfast.

I stayed here five days and love the location. The room was good too. However if you do stay here remove the rubber bed protector because you will soak in sweat the night through. There are many rooms so maybe my room was the only one with a rubber diaper. I believe there are more practical and comfortable mattress protectors which I found in a budget hotel after leaving Paris. I should get full refund.

Centrally located to the eastern station. Erum easy to get around anywhere. The hotel is not flexible On having kids in a standard or king size room. Please book suite if you are travelling with kids.

Positive Points: Clean hotel in front of the train station. The rooms are beautiful (good decoration) and there is what it takes (kettle, TV channel beyond the TNT…).
Negatives: not friendly and incompetent staff. I had a double billing being mistakenly said. The host hostess did not even apologize.
When booking I asked for a double bed and I had two single beds.
The bathroom, pretty yes, but very very small. To go to the cabinet behind the bathroom door, it's complicated.

Lack of comfort and very impersonal. The staff is irassible and not pleasant. It is this type of hotel that gives a bad image of the reception of foreigners in France.

Even the holiday inn express is better than this one. Except location, nothing else works for this hotel. Not only me, everyone I met at the reception had some sort of problem or the other. One person even though he paid and upgraded his room, his 2nd room also had an air conditioning problem. We were showed many rooms on our 2nd day and still we weren't happy with our chosen room. This hotel doesn't live up to the standard of Holiday Inn.

Good location. Good value for money. Rooms are small but well equipped.

Great location, nice staff. But do make sure that you put out sign not to disturb as the maid almost walked in in the morning without knocking. Also I think line 4 or 5 on metro is closed until December 2018 so you might need to use other less convenient lines. Internet is super slow though — 2mb/s.

Generally happy with this hotel, though I don't like that you can enter the lifts and access the floors with the rooms without a card. As a woman traveling alone, I consider this to be somewhat of a safety issue. Otherwise, this is a pretty good hotel. The continental breakfast is good and inexpensive. Rooms are clean and modern. I will stay here again.

What an excellent service! We had some problems with the booking, and they made everything possible, so that I could give my grandson a wonderful birthday surprise! We got a wonderful room with a fantastic view over Paris, specially towards the Eiffel Tower. We even had a small balcony. Everything was clean and in working order. I had forgotton to bring my adapter for my phone charger, even that was brought to me within a few minutes. The staff (from cleaning personell, to breakfast staff, to check-in/check-out staff at the reception, to managers) were very kind and helpful, we felt very welcomed. They even brought a small cake platter with 8 macarons/cakes with candles for my grandsons birthday. The hotel is located in front of the Gare L'Est train station, and the metro is accesible right from the hotels entrance. You have a lot of little cafés/bistros, and even a fast food restaurant near by. The breakfast in the hotel was kind of expensive and not so my style of food, but I believe that we all have different tastes, and it is difficult to please everyone. But there was enough for everyone, and the food was very tasty and fresh. My grandson was free of charge. I recommend the stay in this hotel.

It was a nice place but with some flaws the service was a bit long and the cleanliness was not up to date I do not strongly advise this place.

Hotel at the top located right in front of the station of the East Perfect home as well as the room service are large and bright clean nothing to say and quality of bedding a marvel!
Breakfast is just enooorme and excellent!

The location is very close to the Gare de l EST and 2 metro lines. I've been relegated 3 times now and can't complain. The hotels is small but inexpensive for hotels.

When I want to say something about hotel so hotel in absolutely ok. Great breakfast, clean rooms, good design, totally close for metro. Everything good like always in Holiday inn. But I saw first time do arrogant and unfriendly staff! Horrible!
We arrived for hotel in the night because we saw on the webside that are free rooms. Man on the reception said for us price and we was surprised because on the website it was cheaper. He said, it isn’t possible so we said him stop and we will bought it from website, he said ok, will wait before use your card. When we had reservation from website (cheaper) so he was angry and said that now we payed 2 rooms, that he used a card. My man was so angry that on the end staff canceled next offer. When we arrived in the night after dinner so staff was changed and they stop us, again very unfriendly that they want see ID! Hotel card! They thought that we arent from hotel.
Black big man, something like bodyguard dont know english and when I asked him about WC so he looked for me like for stief? Looser? I dont know. On the end, I thought about me that I’m elegant woman and I was in Paris for business. Behaviour from staff was like for stief, homeless or I don’t know… last time here!

Perfect location opposite the North station where you arrive from Charles de Gaulle airport. No change in 30 minutes. Subway in front of the door. Ideal business hotel: WLAN, well-lit rooms and Virle sockets (9 pieces! ). Nothing special. Unfortunately, the hotel bar closes at 10pm. Room with view to the station reservation!

Hotel very well located in front of the eastern train station. The rooms are quiet, very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is possible to eat and have a drink on site or in the room. Breakfast is still a bit expensive.

Stayed in the junior suite, quiet, wonderful room with the typical romantic french balcony overlooking the train station. There were some leakage from the bathroom that made the carpet bit damp, they didn't do anything when we reported it. Metro station is just down below, so very convenient to commute. Restaurants & cafes are also around the neighborhood. Overall good experience, will come back when we have the chance!

This well lanrrlacion price vs what they offer. We did not like that at the time of the end of the breakfast to us took us out of the restaurant. For the rest well.

We had paid for everything in advance and received voucher.
On arrival we were shared with our room not yet ready for occupancy. But that was clear to us in the run-up. We gave up our suitcases at the reception and went directly on a reconnaissance tour.
In the evening we were told that they were booked out and that our room was assigned to other guests.
We can only offer one room. Well, we thought. Let's take a look at it.
When I arrived at the top, my wife and I looked at each other and I went back to the front desk.
Booked was a double room with an extra bed. 2 adults, 1 child 6 years.
At the bottom I asked the Lord how it can be that at 12:30 o'clock I was on the mat and our existence was heard and we made it aware of going to the city. This was with "its okay Sir" Bejat and in the evening my room was gone and that although it was already fully paid. After a long discussion, a room was still vacant.
This was also so far very clean and generous enough to get after a short Umräumzeit the extra bed under. As an extra bed there was a cot with net until the gentleman saw that this was a bit too small.
Later when I went to a smoking in front of the hotel. Checked in two pairs each. So much for no free room anymore.
To the room I really have to say that it was very clean. What disturbed me was that the room service did not provide new shampoo bottles.

Excellent location, the Metro stop is right in front of the entrance! Quiet, comfortable bed, I found the room bigger than the average, completely renovated, bathroom included. I will definitely consider this hotel for a next trip!

The bed was great, the cleaning wasn't so good. All the wall-to-wall carpets were so dirty looking. The materials at the bathroom were not so practical, plastic or similar. The sink and the floor of the shower look "yellow", not clean. Also why change towels daily? Let's save water. Yes, I told all this to the staff. The rooms were quiet!

Claims to be a 4 star hotel, but it's not even a 3 star. Rooms are so cramped. There is space only for the bed. Breakfast was so awful with some weird smell in all the food items. There were no eggs in scrambled eggs. The location is close to public transportation, but not a great place if you come with your family. Walking around the hotel is not so good. Overall a bad experience. Better stay away from this hotel.

The bathroom felt like it had more leg room than the bedroom, but this is Paris. The bath tub is what Americans would consider a safety hazard! The wall of the tub from the floor is at least 2ft high. So please take your time in and out of the bath. Courtesy of the staff was ok, unless your just trying to get a morning coke. I waited almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to serve me a coke. And don't think your going to go to breakfast to just grab a coke, they send you back downstairs to the bar. I even asked the front desk to call the person attending the bar, and he rudely told me to wait until they are ready. And don't expect the express checkout statement under your door in the morning of checkout. You're better going to the kiosk and checking out.

Had two night stay over weekend, room above kitchen so got woken up at 5 am both mornings with incessant noise from squeaky door in kitchen above. We paid for a superior room for a romantic weekend so really disappointed. Room was clean and spacious but only had one robe and shower leaked all over bathroom floor. When we were asked if our stay was ok and we explained about noise receptionist didn’t acknowledge in any way problem. If you ask what’s wrong as part of check out you need to at least address it even if it is to say sorry about negative experience. Hotel is really well located for travel and amenities nearby.

All in all a good hotel for a stay in Paris. However, The rooms are very small and not quite as modern as the pictures Suggest.
The breakfast buffet is extensive and offers a variety of tastes. You don't have to reckon with something special.
It is very straightforward to check in and Out. In addition, the location at the Gare de l'est is Unbeatable. Metro, buses, trains everywhere are literally driving on the Doorstep. There are also dozens of shops, cafes and supermarkets in the immediate Vicinity.

Attentive service. Clean. Care. Take it easy. Repeat.

Stayed in an executive room as part of a Eurostar and hotel package. Nice decor throughout, overlooks the train station which is a very decent view. Room and hotel are well maintained and we had a tiny balcony to watch Paris from. Full price is ridiculously high but at our massive discount it was a decent option with easy access to transport options.

The location was great! Tons of Cafe's, restaurants, and bars all within a short walk. Also plenty of public transportation. Employees were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and nice, had a great view and a mini fridge. I will definitely be back.

Location is good for traveling being close to two train stations and the subway. It's busy all the time. Rooms are on the small to really small side. Staff could be more helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Normal room nothing special even for the executive room upgrade I received. I hate to think what a regular room is like… food location and value was so so. Really over priced in comparison to NA standards for a comparable room. Handy and for the right price worth it.

I have been staying in Holiday Inn for all my business trips. Never had any trouble so far. On my recent vacation to Paris I decided to stay in Holiday Inn, first time as a personal reservation. I used their website to book it. It said kids under the age of 12 can stay with their parents. So I booked a double bed room thinking that we all can stay (my kid is 4 years). After reaching there I was told that they can not allow 3 in a double bed room, and I have to take a suite. As I made a non-refundable reservation the double bed room is gone. However for the suite they charged me less. In this process I ended up paying few hundred Euros extra. Also they are charging a city tax of 10-15% on the bill which was not mentioned as well. I could have easily saved few hundred euros had I been aware of the charges in a transparent manner. There are many options around at the half the price of what I paid. I was also told that I can use the minibar and its free as it is a suite I am getting. Later I got to know they provide few soda cans and two packets of small patatoe chips. Lessons learnt: a little expensive hotel may not be good always.

Ideally located in front of the East railway station. Clean and comfortable room. Conditioning. In the standard of what is being done today. Not a parking lot assigned to the hotel. So parking of the train station 30 euros the 24 hours.

Problem with my reservation.
One of the employees is allowed to cancel my reservation without even notifying me!
I arrive at the hotel and the gentleman tells me we cancelled your reservation.
I intend to send a mail to his superior!
Without scandalous and shameful comment!

Worst customer service ever, even a backpacking hostel is better then this. We arrived a bit early and was constantly told our room should be ready in an hour and then 5 mins every time we asked subsequently. Everybody else arriving after us (we arrived at 10.30AM) got their room keys straightaway. My company does a lot of business with IHG brand and this tells me how much they value customer relations. Would never ever stay in a IHG hotel after this. Very rude staff with huge language barrier too. Stay away.

Comfortable bed and quite if you have a room high up and not to the street side. Prices are good for Paris. Attention: This area around Gare de l'est is dodgy at night.

One of the best hotels we have been. Price is reasonable. We had a room with windows facing the Gare De L'Est station and we didn't hear anything inside. Breakfast was also ok. Good location.

I booked it as I remember travelling through that part of the city a decade or so before but it is remarkable how the area has changed. I didn't feel safe. The booking was a deal but the room was very small and the facilities underwhelming. The positive side was the location to the transport system.

We booked this hotel because it was near the Gare du Nord station. Our train arrived at about 7pm and the walk to the hotel was horrible, it's near but it is not a nice place. Lots of garbage and hobos everywhere. The building looks nice from the outside but it is indeed very old, the floors are not high and it is a somewhat small place. The room was nice though, it even had a bathtub but it didn't look very clean. This hotel is a place for just stay for the night and look for somewhere else later.

Hi, After a short stay in this hotel, a family member left a package (a gift) at the reception for me. Unfortunately, I was never able to retrieve it despite several calls and visits… The staff manager then informed me that the package suddenly disappeared… it seems that a staff member decided to keep it for him. They proposed to reimburse me but I refused as it has more a sentimental value. It's definitely not acceptable to have this kind of situation in a French hotel, so disappointed. Please avoid this kind of place in Paris, you can find much better level of service, and if you don’t, take care of your stuff. Zahir.

Good hotel in an ideal location. It is in a few minutes with the Metro in the Centre. All in all a very good hotel.
What did not like me: on arrival we were told that it takes only a few minutes until the rooms are ready. It was then finally after over an hour and a walk through the neighborhood. Also, there was a constant shortage of coffee spoons.
The rooms are very small General in Paris and overpriced. That's all over town so and not only here. Order the best through a travel agency, which is significantly cheaper.
Otherwise, everything was perfect but.

The hotel room was cozy and just right. You have to pay to watch something on TV but hey you are in Paris and should be out and exploring anyways! Whenever we needed anything the staff worked quickly and professionally. We felt safe here which is a big deal for us. If you need a cab the front office calls right away for you, which is so nice of them. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and delicious! So many options compared to hotels in America. We left the hotel very satisfied. This hotel is very close and in walking distance to Gare du Nord (which is where we came in from London) as well as across the street from the other main train station. Thank you for everything!

Stayed May 23-25, 2014. Rooms and facilities were fine, great location for train & metro. All encountered staff was very courteous and professional. However, one staff member covering the front desk, was exceptional. Our (four adults) flight from the US involved cancellations, rerouting and of course arrival nearly 10 hours later than scheduled and luggage delayed by 30+ hours. Adonaya immediately came to our rescue. She gave valuable assistance with the airlines and the contract luggage delivery service and generally made us feel that we couldn't be in better hands. She was right! Thank you Adonaya and Holiday Inn, you enable us to get a rocky start behind us and off to a great country-wide tour of France.
