Polar Aurora Cabins Hotel

The Polar Aurora Cabins are a awesomely amazing place for a small group of people but it is a enchanting group of cabins. These cabins have detail and hand crafted cabinets built buy a group of brothers working 18hrs a day for months to bring you a rugged one of a kind first class service. They check on you every night and day to attend to your needs. Safari's and dinners are their specialty. I had a the best Finland food cook by one of the brothers over a open fire salmon and reindeer. The conversation was refreshing to have someone so easy to talk to English was great and humor to match. Scenic views well just check out my videos and pictures.

Great cabins and you’re well looked after by Mika & Jaana who own them. The excursion trips are reasonably priced and well organised.

The host is very friendly, Mike even does everything he could on his own, even a log cabin! We’ve got a very happy time at Polar, the place was nicely decorated and prepared. We stayed at Polar Aurora Cabins 23-28 Dec 2018. These cabins are amazing and in such a lovely setting and location. There is everything you need in the cabin for your stay and our kids loved the sleeping loft! During our stay, we also booked for the Kota dinner experience with Mika which was fantastic. Jaana and Mika are fantastic hosts and the Finnish chocolates dropped off for Xmas were a lovely touch. We had a fantastic stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Cabin. The whole place was covered in a white blanket which was very beautiful.
These cabins are rustic and cozy with a fully functional kitchen, and separate bath +spacious sauna.
Set in the woods, it’s totally cut off from the world and makes it an ideal place for aurora watching. Both hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed making a real fire in the fireplace and even got to watch the polar lights from outside the cabins. The place is about 10 minutes drive from Saariselkä and easily accessible! A great place for a relaxing holiday with a family or a small company.

Set within the woods… this fairytale like log cottage contains all you need to stay in comfortably, with a Finnish sauna room just right next to the cottage door. Good for couple or family/friends. With plenty little details to offer especially to photographer! Walkable distance to the famous igloo village and restaurant.
You might have squirrels or reindeer checking you out any time of the day!
Little inconvenience of transportation to get in/out if you do not drive but taxi can be arranged to get you in and out.

Had a great stay at the polar aurora cabins. It was neat, clean and well equipped. Specifically the owner Mika and his wife jaana went out of their way and helped us have a wonderful experience. Also enjoyed Mika taking us out to see the northern lights.

Jaana and Mika were such friendly and nice hosts, spending ample time showing us around and making sure that we settled in well — how to use the fireplace, sauna etc. It felt very homely in the log cabin for our family of five. The kitchen itself was very well-equipped and the beds were comfortable. The highlight of our stay was when the couple kindly suggested to prepare a personal dinner for us at their Grillhouse, which was worth every penny. The food was delicious. (the …Arctic salmon we ate was caught personally by Mica's friend! ) There was so much to go around. We had a good laugh and will not forget the lovely chats we had with the two of them that night. We stayed for 2 nights, and on the 2nd night, we actually saw the Aurora right behind our cabin! We were really grateful that Mica also ferried us to a bus stop that was a short distance away when we were leaving — it really helped in the cold weather, especially since we had all our luggage to carry around. Definitely book your stay with them if you're looking to have a memorable Finnish experience, something you would not get from a usual bed and breakfast lodging. All we can say is we Finnish (ed) off well in Lapland!

Magic Place. Beautiful cabin, we love Finland because of the great owners of this Place. Mika and Janna. We had the best aurora hunting. Homemade diner in their "Kota". And great personal service. We visited different 5 star hotels in Finland but the Polar Aurora Cabins is for us the only one who deserves the 5 stars!

Feels like home away from home.
