Sofitel is luxurious and the aroma is heaven! They made me feel like a Queen 🤴 will recommend it to everyone! 🙏

Extreme disrespect from front reception staff, specially “Amr Aziz” who surprisingly was in charge of the staff for the day. He was extremely rude, unprofessional. He claimed that they had no availability and that the hotel was fully booked even though we could book a room from the hotel’s website. He was obviously discriminating against Egyptians. They have ridiculous rules aimed to maximize their profit rather than customer satisfaction. Even for the parking fees, they were lying about the fees and we had to double check the receipt ourselves to know the real fees.

Arrived after 1am. Our reservations were paid in advance and our local agent called to confirm we were still on their system. After waiting for at least an hour, we were informed they were overbooked. Traveled over 20+ hours with no sleep and still waited almost 2 more hours for a room.

Magnificent view and amazing hotel but unfortunately very very bad stuff with unexpected aggressiveness especially (Ramzy at the pool, Samer in the reception) & cleanliness really shocked and found leprosy inside my sweet and stay a lot of time standing until someone came to attack it and was really disgusting as I have kids this problem stayed till 3 a. M and after that in the morning many calls to check out and not taking in consideration the problem of the leprosy and that we still awake till the morning almost! and the open buffet lot of dishes are empty even before the time and asked many times to refill really shocked that Sofitel become at this deny level.

By far the most racist hotel I’ve ever been to. From them admiting to the lack of training they have given there staff, to being very rude, and threatening to call the police on us, to the manger of the hotel interrupting us while we trying to explain the Situation he kept asking us if we were done taking. I highly advise not to stay at this hotel. We have yet to receive a call or an apology from anyone part of this hotel branch. I have videos and pictures aswell.

Most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Amazing prices for gigantic rooms! Fresh food, impressive staff, especially Reda Thabet Hana Bishay who greeted us every morning with the most welcoming smile and our favorite juices! The pool is breathtaking along with the views from balconies! We stayed in the Opera Suite and a Family Suite that blew us away! Had a minor medical issue in the middle of the first night which could have ruined our entire trip but with just one call to the reception staff we had the remedy needed immediately without having to leave our room! I highly recommend this hotel to anybody and everybody who plans to visit Cairo! Photos do not do it justice it’s so exquisite! Super safe for nervous travelers! (Only thing I don’t recommend about this hotel is visiting the casino as most machines are broken and it took at least 45 minutes to get our change when we cashed out…)

I ate at SUD restaurant, the food quality is more than horrible all the dishes were just less than what I expected and even the juice was awful, poor service and they have attitude… I am very frustrated and disappointed.

A perfect Hotel and very professional and friendly staff. The rooms are very spacious and the atmosphere in the hotel is more than perfect it is the only Hotel in Cairo that can be considered as a resort if you will visit it once make sure you will keep on visiting it. 4 different restaurants with very Tasty food you can enjoy oriental food and french and italian and sure international.

The pool has a great nile view and the service is so friendly.

Yesterday was my daughter's wedding she went to her suite, left her wedding dress, the fire sprinkle went on spontenously without any alarm, heat or smoke. Not only that it was dirty & black water, the wedding dress soaked with dirty black water, it was adisaster, her sister 's dress& mine were soaked too
There was no help because there was no fire alarm, only neighbours where in help. She was screaming, crying. No one there, no help, only me, my daughter, her sister & neghbours in other rooms.
The response of the hotel crew were very slow & the wedding in few hours from the accident.
They didnot give us any other room or suite until 2 hours from accident
There was missing clothes too.
Bad management, bad crew, no organiztion, no safety.
In addition to this they negtiated us to write good reviews.

My wedding was in that hotel, I've very good memories there. It has perfect views of Cairo from its rooms, has very good restaurants in the ground floor. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly. I loved being there and I would love to go back again, for staying, not for other marriage.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, The main restaurant of breakfast (Casa Mia) was very spacious and had a wide variety of delicious foods and drinks Hayam the guest relation officer was very proactive,,, keep up the good work, your doing great.

Very nice luxury hotel, clean big rooms, balcony with Nile river view, lots of elevators so you don't wait for one forever, very very friendly staff. Huiam is the public relationship manager she was so sweet to me and my family checked with us a lot to see if we liked everything. Husam is the sweetest waiter he made sure that we have the best breakfast experience in the restaurant which is by the way on the Nile river immediately so you can have your breakfast with the nicest view ever. The location of the hotel is excellent you can see a lot of the river and Cairo city from your window / balcony. Infinity swimming pool is very nice. Enjoyed my staying there and definitely would comeback again. Recommending it for everyone who's looking.

Hotel and service are excellent. Staff is friendly. Rooms and view are excellent. Breakfast is marvelous. Lobby seatings need to be rearranged and improved to have more seats around. SPA and swimming are good.

This is one of the best places you can set by the mile enjoy the evening wonderful views. The food is well done service is top notch and they have great desserts. You better make reservations, they have a problem with the seatings It's well worth it, enjoy.

Sofitel is a hotel that surprises me every time with the high quality of its services. I had a luxurious room with excellent view from the window. The hotel staff knows their job very well. The extras are also very good.

The hotel is nice and central to Cairo and the property feels very secure. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are dated and a little worn. If this hotel was in the US it would probably be a 3 star hotel. The real attraction for me was the restaurants on the ground floor along the river. The food was good and reasonably priced (although expensive for Egypt) and the view and atmosphere was excellent.

I have enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It is a place to relax and to enjoy. The service is excellent and with warm personal touch. I have enjoyed the breakfast with the great view and the friendly faces and servuces of the waiters.

The service is very good wither its the reception, concierge or room services. Very friendly and professional staff. The food quality and variety of the breakfast buffet is excellent. The location is great of course with a Nile view. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

We had the most amazing experience at this hotel. First, the location is fantastic. It is literally on the Nile (unlike other 5* hotels nearby), so you can relax and enjoy the sound of the water (rather than the traffic between you and the water). I will say the rooms are slightly on the basic side, but the views of the Nile, stunning grounds and beyond wonderful service completely make up for this. Second, the staff and service are beyond anything I've ever experience. My friend left her Rolex watch and gold jewelry in the safe after check-out. We went to the restaurant and were flagged down by the most honest and lovely housekeeping staff ever — they brought us the items in a lovely box and I literally can't say how floored we were at this amazing service. I also want to thank the brilliant manager in the Kebabgy Restaurant. We ate there twice, but truly had a fantastic experience on the Monday afternoon lunchtime period. The food and service were amazing. Finally, the gym, spa and personal trainer at the gym is wonderful. It is a true bargain for the personal trainer and I would highly recommend if you are up to workout overlooking the fantastic Nile.

This property will leave us with a great memory. All the services are very high level. To choose without a doubt, one of the best value for money in Cairo.

We (4Personen) are currently at the Sofitel.
Reason is 1Woche Cairo look as a birthday surprise for my father.
Basically, we like the hotel. The breakfast buffet is rich and kept in European style. The rooms clean with a great view of the Nile. In spite of the hints to save the environment and to have the bed linen and towels changed only after marking with a note, we had a fresh change every day without the need for us. TV channels are available in all languages English, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, yes even Hindi only German channels are not found.
It is also the staff obviously friendly, but one notices a distinct difference in friendliness to local guests. There are usually 2 — 3 waiters while the plates are stacking with us. We usually wait up to 30min for our drinks to be ordered, while the local guests came far after us and were served in front of us. 3x The order has already been forgotten. At breakfast, the parasols were taken away from us unasked and made to local guests, where 3 umbrellas were already available. At the pool area, which is too small for the size of the hotel, the pool boy kept us from having 4 beds to refer to because he had provided other guests for it. After 2 hours, the beds were still empty.
In the Italian restaurant, which offers very tasty dishes, guests are always greeted and adopted in French.

Negatively surprising We went to this Sofitel for an afternoon tea my wife and I last Monday (5, March 2018) and were quite surprised by a few things: 1) the banks around the hotel where the promenade surrounds the different restaurants is littered with the Nile garbage; surely not the nicest sight, 2) the cushions on the seats still wear the passage of some "accidents" being liquid or food, 3) waiters ushering 5 women while we were 10 meters away, seated and had been waiting — under their very eyes and for 10 mn — for somebody to take our order, 4) we asked for a mint tea and got a green tea (some English classes seem highly necessary) and 5) the sugar container was full of brown water… enticing! We spent 1 hour there. I think it is too short for so many blunders which surely don't belong to supposedly such a high-class establishment. Personel is indeed in dire need of training. If nobody serious enough can be found on the spot which is easily understandable, find people from elsewhere!

The hotel, a 5* property situates at the banks of the famous Nile River. Had learned about Nile river in my childhood, and hence this was an apt choice for me to stay in this hotel with a mesmerizing view of Nile river. Its easily accessible by car, and from the entry itself you will feel the plushy feel of the star property. Guest relation officers in the hotel are good and they attend to your any queries with patience and always ready for a help if its an emergency. They used to surprise you by sending occasional gifts to the room, whenever you are low or lost due to any reasons. As we were foreigner for them, they were always with us to help for any small needs from us. The food quality and standard is marvelous. The stay for two nights was awesome. Hotel offers, free Wi-Fi and parking for our office vehicle was also allowed. Hotel boasts of their bar and restaurants with one they have on the river (its floating restaurant). Will advise for a stay in Hotel Sofitel…. On the banks of Nile river…!

This hotel is by far the best one, it's like a little oasis in the heart of the city, at the end of the island so the level of noise is reduced a great deal (you can't fully escape it, of course). The staff are very friendly, and the facility was immaculate. The food isn't anything to write home about, but it's good. I can't comment on the evening entertainment, since their regular dancer was away and so we ended up frequenting shows at other hotels, which are easy to get to since Sofitel is pretty close by. Overall a lovely stay, and definitely my choice for future visits.

Highly recommended. Best breakfast in Cairo hotels. We only booked the breakfast in the restaurant and only ate outside. Pool invites you to relax after the CitiTouren. Pool right on the Nile, without car noises u D smog of the city! All rooms have great views. Comfortable beds. All the staff are courteous and attentive.
Prefer not to take a taxi directly to the hotel except for the airport and you have full suitcases. Otherwise you'd rather go out of the hotel and stop by the road a taxi driver.

The guest relations in the hotel is good. They are quick to attend to you when you have a problem and send flowers or fruit tray when you are upset about something. The food in the dining is okay however the variety is not like before. I was displeased with the Chef in the Italian restaurant who said it would take him 2 hours to make chicken soup for my mum who is 77 years old and has dementia. It's the only food she takes and simply because it's not on the menu, he wasn't ready to accommodate us. We ended up ordering room service soup and had it brought down to the restaurant while we ate the stuff from the menu. I must say I was displeased about that. The customer service lady in the breakfast lounge Hayam was helpful. She made sure we were comfortable and assisted us when needed. Overall I think my 2 week stay this time around was not up to the usual standard I am used to at this branch of Sofitel.

The people of the entire service are exceptionally friendly and attentive, well-equipped hotel, and the rest do the environment and Egyptian history, recommended 200%.

As a Platinum Member, I felt really important in this hotel for the first time… every wish was read from the lips and the upgrades were natural. Again at any time. The View is madness!

There was too much noise on the rooms around ours, people drunk and smoking. The front desk did not do anything about it until we went down at 5 am with our suitcases demanding to leave. There, they decided to take action and sent us to another room on another floor (they said it was a superior room but not quite). Restaurant and general service very good.

Very luxury place had a nice hotel-life experience there. I liked the message and pool. The nile view was fantastic. The restaurants are okay but the moroccan restaurant wasn't my favorite. They got a couple of bars as a I remember one near the pool, other inside the hotel. The casino and the club were okay but I expected more. Maybe I will back to this place in the future if I find a last-minute-deal.

Many families in the evening difficult to sleep, doors slamming all day long and until late at night. When we make a remark, no prayer in account, the children are kings… too bad, nothing to say about the hotel and its benefits.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and had a view of the Nile. The room service, breakfast and kebab were all tasty. I particularly liked having breakfast along the Nile. The hotel staff were always accommodating and called up to see if there was anything extra I needed. Would definitely stay here again.

I was a guest at this fantastic location for a lucky 3-months on a company job. During my entire stay, the staff was exceptionally professional and catered to our every need which included outside-of-hotel activities and liaisons. The location is magnificent with a spectacular view of Cairo and the pyramids on the background. A multitude of exquisite restaurants abound in the island and all within a conservative walk if you want to venture to the opposite side on foot; although I would recommend a cab. All in all, the hotel is great but the staff made it fantastic.

Ground floor is great including food offering. Some basic rooms are outdated, old and not the standard of a top hotel. On top, ceiling height is incredibly low in the rooms. The suites are great though. One thing that remains in my mind is that the concierge and reception could barely be reached by phone. Staff is friendly but I wouldn't say you can achieve everything in that hotel when just speaking English, in all my visits the language barrier was obvious. But to put that in relation, it was not different in any other hotel I've been to in Cairo add the just three stars compares to Sofitel's in Europe while it would definitely be better if there wouldn't be the language barrier. Also check out procedure is long and complicated, especially if you need a receipt via email.

Amazing view of the Nile River, variety of restaurants: international, Moroccan, bakery and pastry shop. Out door seating over looking the Nile. Ramadan buffet at Le Sud restaurant was wonderful and the selection of food suits every appetite. Staff at the restaurant and reception were very helpful and friendly, they helped us resolve an incident in no time. The furniture/ decoration at the restaurants may need to be changed to something more modern and light. Wonderful terrace for an afternoon tea or dinner as well.
