Small, simple, but very nice rooms, the cleanliness is excellent, they have air conditioning and a small refrigerator. Ours at least lacked TV. The service is excellent, the breakfast is very good, they even have the detail to notice that you had breakfast on the first day and the following days take into account your preferences. You are two blocks from the restaurant area.

I did not stay here, but I have to write a review to say how AMAZING the people who run this place are (I'm not sure if they were the owners or not). I was lost and exhausted from my day tour and Airbnb gave me the wrong directions/map to the house I was staying at. I walked in here, looking for a place to stay and extremely distraught (I was not able to contact my Airbnb host because the internet on Isabela is HORRIBLE), and the lovely couple there helped me, even though I don't speak Spanish and they didn't speak English. Another guest staying over heard and spoke a little English and between the 4 of us, and the pictures of the Airbnb place I booked, they figured out who my host was from a picture of my host's location that showed some tools in the background! How crazy is that?! And then the gentleman drove me to the house! OUTSTANDING customer service when I wasn't even a guest of theirs.

The hotel is simple as almost all the hotels on the island, but it is very well located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights and Juanita attended US great.

Spacious, clean rooms. Helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Weak but consistent Wi-Fi, best used in the lobby.

Hostel was comfortable, clean and towels and bedding seem fresh. Used as part of an Intrepid Group. We had good sleep here, cockerel quite loud outside but otherwise okay! Staff seem friendly. Breakfast and packed lunches good. Beach towels provided.

Very nice rooms. Super kind staff. Very well located in Isabela, can go anywhere within 10 minutes! We missed our boat from Santa Cruz and they had no problems cancelling one night for us. Recommended.

We were very disappointed by our experience with Hotel La Gran Tortuga. We booked two months in advance and were given confirmation that our accommodation was secured and requested tours were booked. On arrival we were told that actually there was no tour booked and that they were now full so we would miss out, a real shame given the distance traveled to Galapagos! We were then taken to a different hotel where we were given a room. This means that all facilities advertise by Gran Tortuga when we booked were no longer available to us. The confirmation told us that we could pay with credit card however this also turned out not to be so, the system didn't work. On an island where there is no ATM having to spend a large chunk of your cash which you didn't budget is an unwelcome blow. In conclusion, we felt let down by this business and would not recommend others deal with them.

This is the greatest hostel in Isabella and in the entire Galapagos. Jose and Juana are more than willing to make your stay a pleasant one. The rooms are the best and they have TV and Ac. Also there are hammocks on the roof where you can over look the town over Puerto villamil.
