Hotel is in a good location, few mins walk down hill to town. Clean with good Wi-Fi, breakfast and nice views. It's not quiet AT ALL. You can hear everything, from traffic, people walking around the hotel, to talking in the next room. A room on the 2nd floor might cut some noises out?

Very good service and very nice breakfast, the only thing is Q the rooms have very thin walls, you hear everything, so I do not give 5 stars.

It's nice! They try to keep their showers 5 minutes or less. My main concern is the shower didn't get hot. But other than that, the room was clean, and the staff was really friendly. Would recommend!

Mid-range Hotel. Very spacious room and very clean but without any soundproofing. Is more of a short & breakfast. No restaurant.

Least expensive place that we have stayed at in a long time. You get the basics and it is clean. We were late to the breakfast but they still accomodated us. Great service. If you need more than a room this is not for you.

Rooms are a bit dark, but the balcony is nice it also has a nice view. The Staff is helpful and friendly but not outstandig as I have seen it in other hotels. The breakfast has to be improved as it is not really tasty better to go in the town to one of the bakeries there.

The rooms are great, beds are very comfy, the breakfast is very good and you need to pay in advance the day before if you want to eat in the morning (cheap price). It's a little far from downtown though, if you are not equipped to walk uphill, but it's a great exercice! Overall amazing hotel!

Fantastic service, beautiful rooms. The staff helped me figure out where the best places to go with my limited time in the area. I absolutely loved the national park, local restaurants, and secluded time before heading to work for 2 months. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Monteverde.

Hotel in the outskirts of the town, the rooms are basic, we didn't have hot water (just luke warm).

To be honest, we stayed here for only one night and usually we'll shower in the night and morning. Well, let's just say we didn't here because we were a bit on the edge to do so because we did not feel too comfortable. Mattress and bedding were uncomfortable, dampen and smelly. I think they should just go ahead and call it a hostel because it's no longer a hotel. I don't like giving places bad review because I like to support everyone's hustle but the rooms here weren't it. Even our toilet was broken. Nice and friendly staff with the hotel sitted on a hill with nice morning view of the green mountain but rooms are run down.

Stayed here during a Gadventures your. Lovely place. Clean and we'll maintained. 1/4 mile from downtown. Can't go wrong.

We stayed in three Costa Rican Hotels. La Pradera in La Fortuna was the best. This was the worst. My cell phone would not work in Costa Rica, and I was there with a friend who was on chemo. There were no phones. There was a TV, that did not work. They blamed it on the fact that we did not have a remote, but then gave us a remote with dead batteries. They have a restaurant, but the restaurant is only open for 2 hours for a complementary breakfast, that had almost nothing. I am not a complainer, because I want good people to succeed, but we had a brochure from a company that this hotel didn't display. They took it from me, and put it in a drawer, unit I asked for it back. He arranged a cab that charged 7$, and gave us his card for the return. Thank god I lost the card, because when the company who's brochure, the hotel tried to make go away arranged a cab, he charged 4$. We walked downtown for dinner one night. My friend had looked up restaurants, we wrote down restaurants that had food that she could eat. The hotel told us that nearly all of them were closed. Again, I think they get money for referring people. We went to the first, an expensive place he said was open. When we were leaving we passed all of the OPEN places we had been told were closed.

Simple Hotel without Restaurant. Rooms uncomfortable and very noisy. Santa Elena, although that is within walking distance reachable, but in the dark bad to go.

Nice, basic, quite hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty grounds. No in-room safe and we had a room farthest from the main area and could not get Wi-Fi to work in room, those were minor issues. Breakfast was delicious and filling. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a basic hotel in the area.

Water wasn't hot. Thin walls. Price is high for what you get. We didn't sleep well when we stayed here because of all the noise from neighbors and outside. Mattress was really uncomfortable since you could feel the springs. Staff was nice and breakfast was good but that's the only positive.

The best hotel I have visited in this zone recommended 100%.
