Nice hotel, pretty pool, very quiet location. The rooms were clean, and have screens on the windows and A/C in the room (i. E. Great protection against mosquitos, and no need to sleep with a mosquito net around your bed, which I do NOT take for granted, but is much appreciated). Hammocs and chairs available outside the rooms. Inside the room has a mini coffee maker and a mini fridge, which were very convenient. Room also came with a TV and satellite cable (I'm reasonably sure you could connect an HDMI cable to these if you brought your own entertainment boxes, but you might want to double check first. You'd need a very long HDMI cable though, like 2-3m. To be sure). Location is nice in general (i. E. Near Cahuita and Puerto Viejo), but the specific location lacks direct access to the beach so you have to drive (even though, on the map, it's literally right next to the beach). It's also right next to the highway, so some of the rooms get more than their fair share of road noise from trucks flying by at all hours. That said, the rooms are decently sound isolated, so this never bothered us while we were there. 5 dogs live there (at least), and 3 (or more) are Dobermans. The dobermans bark a bit, but are well controlled and never caused us any actual trouble. The 2 zaguates also there were SUPER friendly and loved attention. Also, no restaurants within easy walking distance, but it looks like they are near finished with building a restaurant on site. Breakfast there may already be an option (I never got up early enough to find out, but it looked operational already to me).

Nightly rates from $45
