A lovely hotel. Such a lovely setting. The restaurant staff are excellent, far friendlier than reception staff.

Staff are excellent especially David in the Restaurant.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, nice rooms with great balcony views of the ocean and biological reserve. The pool area is beautiful, great views. Watching sunsets at the restaurant on-site is a bonus. Highly recommend a stay here.

Friendly staff and beautiful facilities!

This is by far the best place I’ve been to in Costa Rica. The view is amazing, the entire staff of Lagarta is incredible, the food is spectacular.
I was there last week for 4 days, the purpose of the trip was to propose to my girlfriend and everyone in the hotel was involved to make sure everything came out just has I planned, and it did.
It was an amazing weekend, and this is a place I HIGHLY recommend. We fell in love with it. Thank you Raquel and the entire staff Lagarta for your incredible service and for all your help. 10 star recommendation.

Great location. Nice infinity pool. Place shuts down at 8 am with no food service.

I went on the bird watching tour which was great, were saw lots of gorgeous wildlife and the guide was very knowledgeable. I also visited the restaurant for a buffet breakfast which was surprisingly good. The food was diverse, fresh, and very tasty.

Overpriced. Out of place. Too modern for the location. Good food but too expensive. This is not a lodge, it's a monstrous resort. Saved by the view.

Hands down the best luxury hotel and resort in the area. Multiple pools and hot tubs, delicious restaurant, free shuttles into town, in house nature reserve, gorgeous rooms with wonderful amenities, friendly staff… I could go on and on.

An out of place oversized Ultra modern hotel. It's not a lodge. The view is fantastic. The dining room is slow and overpriced but the view makes up for it. Almost.

Very nice place. We only went to the restaurant. The service was a little slow but the food was very good. Some of the dishes were not available but they let is know as soon as they gave us the menu to make sure we did not order them.

Lagarta Lodge has been amazing! We have been here a full week, and the views, and the staff, and the food… all top shelf. Our room is clean and modern with its own espressos machine, a safe, beautiful views. We are coming back and I cannot recommend the place enough.

Wow is my first though when I think of this place. Lagarta Lodge exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in. Upon arrival to the property, my boyfriend and I were greeted with cold minted towels to refresh. We were escorted to the restaurant to have a welcome complementary drink. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. Our room was phenomenal. The decoration is modern contemporary detailed to perfection. The view from the room is priceless. Everyone in the hotel was very professional and accommodating. One night we decided to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant with other guests we met earlier in the pool. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. The manager came to introduce himself while we were having dinner and we were offered a complementary bottle of wine due to the occasion. From the moment we checked in and out we felt in paradise. Please stay Lagarta Lodge, I promise you will not regret it!

The food is lousy but it is very luxurious the food portions are super small and not very big.

This is a top notch hotel. The grounds are charming, the resturant is good, and the views are fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful. Skip the steak.

Lagarta Lodge is a little paradise hidden in the mountains of nosara. The infinity pool and the view on the ocean is breathtaking. The people are very friendly and the hotel room (number 21) was modern, very convenient, clean and modern. From the shower you had a direct view on the ocean through the big window! Staying in this hotel is an unforgettable experience…

Great architecture, setting and attention to detail. This is not USA thank goodness so if you need gluten free bread, or have peanut allergies, or feel your GMO count is too high you might not want to come to C. R. At all. But if you want an amazing place to sleep, hang out, sit by the pool, feel important, get away from the masses this is an inspiring place. Worth every dime. You will thank me later. Wait actually this place is awful and hope no one comes here so I can have it to my self next time we come.

I surprised that there are criticisms of 2 months ago, when this hotel was closed. What is this?

Amazing location with great views over the pacific ocean and the nature reserve!

If you want to relax in nature, this is the place. Spectacular sunsets and nature hikes. It's not Hilton, however, who wants the any hotel chain destroying such a beautiful part of the world.

Beautiful lodge with magnificent views, good food and "private" nature park, which you can explore on foot. We felt very well taken and enjoyed the stay.
Must-do: Watch turtles at dawn at the Playa Ostional.

Lagarta Lodge is a great location to start your day with breakfast and a wonderful place to end your day with a cocktail at the Sunset Bar. Our first night in Nosara we enjoyed dinner, the fresh catch of the day and it was fantastic. Our last night in Nosara we had dinner and I ordered the "Tico" style steak which I found to be rather disappointing as it was tough and gristly. My husband and I also ordered caipirinhas with dinner and whatever they brought us weren't caipirinhas, though they weren't bad cocktails — just not what we ordered. The redeeming point of the night was the coconut flan which was absolutely decadent and my husband ordered the cheesecake with passion fruit sauce that he enjoyed immensely. The menu does not have anything marked specifically as gluten-free though at breakfast my husband spotted "gluten free bread" listed among the bread offerings at the buffet. Overall the food was good, but beyond the desserts, it was average fare at average prices given a boost by the incredible view.

Its great but you're not pimping on cloud 9.
