Nice hostel, very accomodating staff. We had a private room toward the back, so nice and quiet. Super convenient location and super clean. I plan to return. Very satisfied.

It's the best atmosphere I've ever met in Bogota. It is like being at home, it is very clean and you can enjoy different places inside the hostel, you will breathe an atmosphere of a lot of sharing daily with the number of guests who visit each day, is very close to several tourist places and is very easy to mobilize. The staff is excellent, the attention of Sofia (the boss) is unmatched, excellent person, really very friendly and respectful. I just know that when I get back to Bogotá I won't waste time looking for another place. Thanks Martinik.

Beautiful hostel, with what it takes to spend a nice stay in Bogota. A pleasant atmosphere, and the people who attend are very attentive and friendly. Excellent location, very close to strategic points of the city and the area is very safe.

I stayed in Swiss Hostal Martinik at the beginning and the end of my trip through Colombia and both times I felt very welcome and at home. The owner Sophie is very welcoming and the staff can provide you with all the necessary information you need to enjoy your stay in Bogota and Colombia. People in the hostel were friendly and I could make travel mates straight away. The beds are comfy, breakfast is included (cereals, toast, coffee, etc. Very good! ) and Wi-Fi is working well. The overall location of the hostel is perfect as it is located right in the heart of Candelaria, one of the safest districts in Bogota. If I come back to Bogota I definitely stay here again. Thank you very much :-)

Hot water is not easy to control, washed for two days feel so cold, nearby bar bar, there is a sound of electric sound in the early morning, there are a lot of people near this area, although some of the nearby attractions, some police, or a little fluffy, the room does not have toilet paper, towels to take their own, just checked in when a small rainstorm flooded, not room, Wi-Fi signal, no hair dryer (it is said that Latin America is so), the room is not strong 4 G, living in the rich area may be comfortable, this may be a good CP value, good service, but not for me.

If you are staying for a few days in Bogota look no further than Swiss Hostal. The relaxed atmosphere and the attention to detail from the staff made the Hostal feel like a home away from home. The free breakfast is one of the best I've had on the trip. The staff are always available for any questions about Bogota or any other place in Colombia. If I stay in Bogota again I will definitely be staying at Swiss Hostal.

I highly recommend Swiss Martinik Hostel. It's like a home away from home. The owner Sophie is very warm, welcoming and keeps the Hostel all copesetic. I would stay here again for sure if I were going to visit Bogota again, in fact I would happily make a trip just to go to the hostel. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, thumbs up for Fabien, Sergio and the forever working domestic (I don't know her name). The area is also very beautiful with a vast choice of cuisine and many historical points of interest. If you are planning a trip to Bogota. This is a must place to stay.

That's the first class adventurers hostel. I was feeling to be involved in a roommate deal with all the traveller from all over the world. The price is awesome for the service you got. The free breakfast is really satisfying and you got a big kitchen to cook extra. Clean place, the owner take care of all of us and the staff is smily and helpful. This hostal is central for visiting and get connected to all the transport connection :). For it was the best in the plenty of whatever offer.

Super Hostel, with a super friendly team (Sophie, Daniel & Viviane are top), private rooms super affordable, and an excellent location (close to the Botero Museum, the place Bolivar)

Great hostel! Hot showers with good water pressure, a rarity in South America. Great cooking facities in a spacious kitchen. Comfortable beds, I staying in the 10 bed dorm and it didn't feel cramped, and was really quiet. The hostel has a really nice chilled vibe and the staff were very helpful and informative. Will definitely stay again if I return to Bogota!

This may be the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at out of over 70 hostels, and the perfect location, surrounded by museums​ close to Monserette.

Bad management! They charge you for bringing your own beer and accuse you of stealing from the breakfast in case you bought the same stuff … NOT nice!

The hostel is quite nice. Good breakfast, big kitchen and enough space to chill. I don't know if it was just in this dorm (1), but the beds are horrible hard! After 2 nights I really can't feel my back and my shoulders hurt like hell. A guy from a private room told me that he's sleeping good, so well maybe it's just the dorm. This also has 2 windows directly on the street so it's not that quiet when you're in during the day. It's located in the centre and you can reach most interesting things by foot.

To Sophie the owner that possesses no knowledge of customer service and professionalism: I made a reservation and did not stay the night. Went back the next day to ask for my money. I asked the owner and she was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and even threatened to report me to border patrol and take away my visa if I didn't pay (but I did pay so she had no reason at all to make false accusations or threaten a customer. Also, being a citizen of the country made this more of a laughing matter. ) I understand there are rules, but there was no reason to treat a customer like that considering people like me are the hostels source of income. I asked the owner her name and she said "I am Sophie the owner and go ahead write a review. I will respond. " Have fun responding Sophie.

Terrible hostel, don't know how its managed to get such a high rating. Showers go cold after a few seconds, people can see into the showers from the 2nd floor, 10 and 6 bed dorm on the street with loud car noise all night, beds and pillows are covered in plastic covers which are hard and noisy. After the 2nd night in the 6 bed dorm 2 separate travelers woke up with bed bug bites, management refused to believe that HER hostel could be responsible and blamed the guests and their dirty clothes (which had been laundered at the hostel). Instead of dealing with the problem they just threw new linen on the beds and had the guests move out.

The breakfast is good with milk, cereal, toast, jam, coffee and tea at will all day.
Hot showers :)
Comfortable room, the dorm is road side so you hear not bad traffic.
There is a relaxing TV room and two computer in at the entrance.
It's a bit chilly but with pants and pull his past
