Lima Limon Candelaria Hostel Hostel

It was my first hotel on the way in Colombia during a travel in december/january 2017/2018. It was a nice hotel and friendly staff in Bogota, the Colombian capital.

Definitely the best hostel I stayed in during my whole trip! The hostel in run by three siblings and you will truly feel like part of the family while staying there (also because other family members come and go and are always interested in what you are doing and how you feel). While I stayed, the volunteer Cora, offered free Yoga classes and Luis, one of the owners, showed us salsa steps for beginners. Come in, enjoy, feel at home!

Definitely the best hostel in Bogotá! The fresh new owners are a great Colombian family, so nice and friendly, the place looks beautiful and truly feels like home! Everything you seek when you travel for months!

The place was ok when we arrived although if you hate the smell of weed it won't be your cup of tea. My wallet was stolen from my bed while I was eating breakfast and the female owner treated me and my friends like shit because we wanted it found for obvious reasons. Turns out our friend also had clothes stolen the day before. The police arrived but the owner was more interested in telling us "not to make her angry" than actually helping deal with a theft that happens in her hostel while we were there as guests. I'm sure if it was her money that went missing it would be a different story! Really didn't understand how having something stolen was our fault but she was very aggressive and unhelpful. Even when wanting to look she made everyone feel very awkward and that we were doing something wrong because she "didn't believe there could be a thief" as the only other people in the room were her friends. Funny that. Was also funny that her friends moved all their things into her room just before the police arrived then again to the living area… Sketchy. Wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone!
