A young and friendly atmosphere, full of good advice and a lovely staff. The area is very quiet and safe and in addition there is a swimming pool!

The place is excellent, the rooms are spacious, very clean, have TV, bathroom, Wi-Fi, good service, never miss towels or soap, the place is in a safe sector and is relatively close to many interesting places, cheap prices. Highly recommended.

Place hostel dedicated to the attention of travellers. Good care and hospitality. You can bring groceries and make your food at home. Family atmosphere. It is located in a very good area of Medellin.

If I can give 10 stars out of 5, I will. This hostel is more than just a hostel to me. It's home. The staff are incredibly nice. I know almost everyone who works there. They will treat you as you're their family. Totally recommend Waypoint. Felipe, Emanuel, Sra Nora, Sra Gloria, Diego, etc they will always have a place in my heart.

Very good staff! Very good price! Strategic location to everywhere and you feel a little bit out tourist trail. I really liked to be close to the university and go gym plus all the nice bars and salsa club around. Very good.

THE site is ideal for those who do not have a lot of money and are not complicated by anything (common baths). It has a swimming pool and the house rules are strict and the area is very quiet close to the station Aguacatala metro.

I had decided to come back to stay at Waypoint Hostel since it was a comfortable place right next to the university where I took Spanish courses at back 3 years ago. However, although I had originally planned to stay at this hostel for 3 nights, I could no longer stay after getting bitten by bedbugs (there could have been other insects since the sizes of the bites were different) all over my body. Later I found out that other backpackers were bitten and we all decided to leave. The bigger problem, however, lies in the ways that the employee and even the owner dealt with this serious issue of the beds being contaminated with bedbugs. Since I had such good stay 3 years back, I thought I would talk to the owner (waited until he came) to see if he would offer other rooms/DC in order to efficiently solve this problem. The employee would just tell us that there would be no discounts and that I had to wait. The owner just claimed that some backpacker must have brought with them the bugs and just kind of ignored my intention of trying to resolve this problem and walked away, when I mentioned about how I would have to pay. Yes, the owner did not take ownership of his own business nor even attempted to treat the problem professionally. They even kept taking clients without calling an insect exterminator, from which I lost the whole faith in this business.

Very clean, people are very nice and the staff superb. Nice young professional environment. Near Poblado and next to EAFIT university. Very peacefull. Full kitchen and laundry service.

When we checked in our room had been given away to someone else so we were given a sort of dorm in the back of the hotel with just a tiny window. No apology from the guy at the reception, he just sait it was not his fault, another person made a mistake. The next day we decided to cancel the 2nd night and leave. The good thing was that there was another person (young woman) at the reception which was really nice, apologized for the mess with the room and gave us a small discount. This left us with a better impression of the staff.

Nice staying in Waypoint! The rooms are comfortable and the staff is really helpful! I highly recommend it to anyone.

Good service, good rooms and very good price.

The people at the hostel are very friendly. We did not speak Spanish but they did not mind using our translator app to communicate with us. There is a lady that gives you breakfast in the morning from Monday to Saturday, but nothing on Sunday, which is understandable. Staying at the hostel was a great experience and would definitely recommend it to someone who needs to be near the EAFIT university, as it is right across the road.
