Food rubbish, road traffic noise unbearable and Wi-Fi absolutely non existent! Also, as we are not Colombian citizens we do not have to pay the Hotel VAT tax. However, in this hotel they absolutely insist that even foreigners have to pay. We argued for over twenty minutes at check-in informing them we do not have to pay this tax as we are foreigners. The guy at the reception called several of their staff so a group formed and we were faced with over seven hotel staff trying to brainwash us about the tax saying we need to pay it. It was late at night and dark outside so we did not want to go and look for another hotel. The area around the hotel is quit dangerous at night so we eventually agreed to pay the VAT as they said they would give us a certificate to prove we've made the payment and we could claim it back at the airport when leaving the county. This is incorrect as VAT tax is not reclaimable on hotel bills. This hotel is carrying out a criminal activity and should be avoided for many reasons. Avoid avoid avoid!
