Wonderful service. Great staff.

Fantastic new construction modern design right in the heart of Guangzhou next to the famous restaurant row. The suite had nice views, modern art pieces, impressive lobby and very helpful staff.

Such An amazing welcome to the hotel! The manager was waiting outside and escorted us to the check-in. As a platinum member I was upgraded to a super spacious suite!

I’ve stayed at the W Guanzghou many times already. Rooms are very comfy, the food is amazing and the staff is very helpful. You won’t regret.

The best hotel I have aver stayed at.

I stayed here for one night, I was very excited because I'm a fan of the W Hotels in other places. Check in took a bit longer than expected because we booked a room for two people in one room, but they only offered us one complimentary breakfast. The other person would have to pay but that didn't make any sense as before it said breakfast included for the both of us. But that was fixed and later they left a voice message in our hotel room apologizing. We used the gym and the swimming pool, luckily their service there were good. The staff up at the fitness centre, and the swimming pool, and the spa floor where the lockers are at were very helpful. The gym is great, got free weights and a smith machine which is pretty good for a hotel gym. The pool setting is nice, spent a few hours there relaxing. The room itself was fine, and the restaurants were fine, there are I believe three different places to eat from, we tried the Japanese restaurant and the buffet for breakfast. They were both good, though the Japanese restaurant is really expensive but that's most hotel restaurants. Checking out took longer than expected, we wanted to purchase the Bathrobes that the W Hotel here had, (they're very comfortable, but pricey, I believe 600-700 RMB for one) And it took them almost 30 minutes to get one bathrobe down from the upper floors. Great stay overall, but really lacking service down at the lobby area.

Just ok for me. No hot water in my room. The lighting controls were impossible and the pipes knocked all night. Not much substance behind all the visual gimmickry. The music is so constant that you can't communicate with the staff. And what's with the black on black room numbers — really?

We stay at the W Guangzhou every time we visit Guangzhou. Always greeted warmly and the rooms are large and comfortable.

Not quite sure why there's so many poor reviews. I travel extensively for business and stay primarily at SPG hotels globally. Rooms are huge, love the dressing room, toilet room and shower room concept, food was fantastic and concierge extremely helpful.

Worst W experience ever. Poor decoration, poor cleanness, poor service. I was upgraded to a suite room, but it was same disgusting with dirt everywhere. Not W standard. Won't come back again.

The location of the W Guangzhou on Google Maps is not correct. Otherwise, an excellent hotel that looks after SPG Plats really well — the only W in the world with a club lounge for Plats and suite guests!

As a 490 nights SPG member, I have stayed in my share of W hotels. I can say by far, this has been the most FUN experience. Requests were granted above & beyond, internet was fast, Fei bar amazing with an awesome band & bar menu, Kitchen Table breakfast was delicious and plenty, Yan Yu has very legit Cantonese food, and just the overall friendliness could not be topped. Must go location is their swimming pool, amazing view and comfy lounge chairs. It can be a destination hotel on its own without leaving the premise. I used to dread coming to Guangzhou for business trips, not anymore! I will be back for Whatever Whenever :)

Had a b'day + weekend escape staycation there. Everything just perfect! Got room upgraded to spectacular theme room regardless my booking was paid by points two days prior to the arrival. All special request (such as higher floor, quiet corner, diff theme than a "Fire" room, birthday treatments… blah blah blah…) were all promptly accomodated! Checkin and checkout were smooth and no delays at all. Received two welcome drinks coupons for both my partner and myself, got a v…ery delicious birthday cake too! Last but not least, the concierge staff were so helpful and responsive regarding certain booking matters (though eventually we couldnt make it due to the delay arrival). Been stayed in so many W hotels around the world and ve never been treated that great! Definitely one of the coolest W stays ever!
