My sister and I stayed for 2 nights in Feb. Great staff, always friendly, beautiful rooms and dining areas! Michele was the best at Breakfast. I hope you have her as your server! I serve, I deserve! We were going to have our spa day with the hotel originally but they wouldn't provide facials because of their own policy not mandate, which was strange, but that made us book our spa day with Fayze Spa! (glad we did) the spa was incredible, and the experience was even better! We did a wet steam, body wrap with a massage, and facial! 3 hours of bliss! We had dinner in the dining room and I recommend the soup with the steak and lava cake! it was Devine! definitely staying here again, bur you lost me with your spa and staff booking your spa services. As we were calling to CA cel our spa package, we could hear someone in the background saying, "I gave a facial yestrtday"… not very professional and we would never book with your spa in the future because of it… and we spent nearly 1000$ at Fayze a day can't wait to go again.

First time going and it was amazing. Food was fantastic and immaculately presented. Service was amazing. Will definitely be going back. So happy to have finally found a place like this in London.

We booked a reservation for a lunch after a funeral. They bumped us for a wedding and now we have to scramble for other another place. Definately poorly ran.

This old building boasts original high baseboards, lots of stain glass, beautiful dining furniture and decor. Not your everyday cookie cutter basic hotel style experience. Breakfast simple but delicious!

Excellent service from Luke our server and the food was delicious! We felt extremely safe seated on the porch, appreciated how our server was wearing a shield and gloves. Great value and our favourite was the bread with oil & balsamic dip. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you.

My sister in law and I, had a very enjoyable time considering the world circumstances, but all your staff made us feel welcomed and safe. Your place is very beautiful and well kept and the room was wonderful. They also provided a grab and go breakfast since the dinning room couldn't open but we enjoyed the variety of items given. Our room was beautiful, dinner was delicious, martinis were so good & the staff were very friendly & helpful. Spa treatments were excellent.

First time visiting today, went for lunch in the restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. We will return again!

Beautiful space. Lovely whirlpool bath big enough for 2 (and a huge rainfall shower stall) in 207. Definitely have dinner at the restaurant. Chef is fantastic! A true culinary artist.

Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. My reason for no. Parking is a gong show. If you drive anything bigger then a sedan. Good luck. They expect you to park a block away. I'm sorry. A block away. A. I wasn't lugging a new born and his gear a block away at 10pm. B. I'm not leaving my new vehicle in a strange lot in a strange town with personal belongings, a festival on and drunks walking the streets. Nevermind the night crawlers we passed on route back to the Inn. Maybe visiting restaurant patrons should use additional parking. After trying once to fit in one empty spot. We decided to wait patiently along the side of entrance driveway for someone to leave. It seemed restaurant patrons where finishing up. About 10 mins later a couple came out and got into their blue BMW SUV. We crossed fingers upon exit we would fit in this spot. Well. Mr BMW thought he was more important and should be able to exit the entrance. Him simply using the round about would have simply put him to exit driveway. Tried to politely explain this to him. Nope. Mr BMW thought we should back out into the middle of the street to let him out. When we wouldn't he found it acceptable to verbally lash out. Yelling at my wife and myself that we where quote f ing as and f ing c#*ts. What behavior… and then uses the round about and leaves. I was livid and knowing at some point they would return as vehicle was there on check in. For the sake of other patrons, my family and the hotel.

Had a wonderful private party. Excellent food and great service. I would highly recommend.

Idlewyld is a hidden gem! I have been living in London for 5 years now but never heard of Idlewyld until I did some deep search for a fine dining place for my husband’s birthday. Boy oh boy what an experience it was! The moment you enter the gates the wow factor begins… everything from the setup to the staff to the food are top notch. It is a real fine dining experience and believe me when I say that as I have lived and traveled a lot around the globe. Katherine was our hostess and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She made sure that we were well fed, never let our glasses be empty and gave her honest opinion when I was unable to decide on what to order for my main course (I am a picky eater).
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be returning soon with our friends and family.

Room was so comfortable and staff was very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was amazing. Rose in the spa was a godsend! My nails were peeling and my wedding was that day. She squeezed me in quickly to fix them for me. My husband and I quite enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Some friends and I went to their backyard bbq. The space was amazing. Very relaxing, comfortable, and still elegant. The food was delicious from start to finish. I had the cornish hen. It was well seasoned and crispy. The vegetables were perfect. Though it is a little pricey, it is worth it for a nice night out. The drinks were surprisingly reasonably priced. Our server was incredible. She was quick but not hurried, super friendly but not intrusive, and most importantly, she knew what she was doing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it.

Our guests all remarked how lovely the staff was, no matter the time of day. We kept Norman up helping us with Scotch one evening until nearly 10 and he was back at breakfast the next day with a smile on. The same was true after our wedding reception. The staff who closed up at midnight were back and friendly the next morning. Not a grump among them! The Inn is from the mid-1800 and was built as a private residence. The building has retained a lot of it's unique charm but has been updated for guest comfort with firm beds, sleek minimalist modern furniture that compliments the old style and nice new bathrooms. From the check-in to our massages and dinner, the staff were beyond hospitable and welcoming. It is the perfect weekend getaway if you're in search of a relaxing and quaint experience and the accommodations were very exceptionally well kept. Had an amazing chocolate souffle and a great breakfast buffet to end the trip.

Went for a relatives surprise retirement party. Staff was excellent! Made the surprise awesome and easy to remember. Facilities and staff took care of us and even gave my 3 year old a tour of the pond. I would recommend this place to anyone Very classy.

Nice to eat outside. Cloth napkins relaxing bbq supper. Salmon/ steak/ pork chop/cornish hen with vegetable /small buffet salads n dessert in price under $40.00 each. Great coffee. Waitress awsome. Kept water and wine topped up :) nice bread and fruit oil dip. Nice large umbrellas over tables ;great place for family photos in front and out back. Small pond area. Relaxing.

The food was beyond exceptional! If you're looking for exquisite menu style and gorumet ingredients this is the place! I went with a group of 3 and we all tried something different and none of the dinner options disappointed. Regarding the ambiance, it is a old style mansion and has unique charm and character. The servers were extremely curteos and professional. Elevated dining and worth every dollar! I will definitely be visiting again and have already recommended to many coworkers and friends!

I had a wonderful time at the Idlewyld! The place is so homely and there is so much charm in each and every room. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. This hotel easily rivals some 5 star hotels I've stayed in.

Beautiful property, lovely spa, fantastic breakfast. Very enjoyable stay. Check out the little quaint village of Worthley within walking distance of inn. An unexpected, hidden jewel.

This was a great stay. Had a nice massage and one of the best meals of my life. The bed was a bit stiff, and the heating wasn't working in my room at first. One of the personnel brought in a space heater once it was brought to the hotel's attention though.

Facial lacked some of the basics. No gown. No hair band to keep product out of hair. Several products were smeared over my eyes. Making it uncomfortable and difficult to see after. Never had a facial where the face mask was smeared over eyes. Wouldn't go again.

Was completely blown away by this place when I first arrived with my partner. It’s one hell of a location. We were kindly welcomed by one of the staff who discussed the history of the building, and then we were shown to our comfortable room. The TV was a little outdated and on its last legs, but the rest of the amenities were fantastic. The staff at the desk were also very helpful, and the complementary breakfast was enjoyable, if a little sparse. Parking also seemed to be an issue depending on how busy the place was, but fortunately we always had a space to park.

My wife and I went to the Idlewyld for our anniversary dinner and ordered off of the Londonlicious menu. My wife is pregnant and celiac and they were very accomodating to her needs. The service was great and the food was excellent. I was happy to hear that the chef added the special of the night (prime rib with smoked cheddar and chive mashed potatoes, asparagus, and au jus) to the Londonlicious menu … and the pumpkin pie creme brule is killer So thankyou Idlewyld Inn and staff! You are amazing.

I was disappointed with my first experience at the spa recently. My husband had surprised me with three services. The sliding door dividing the treatment rooms allowed me to hear every word of another client and therapist during the first hour of my services. There was a ticking clock a foot from my head which was louder than the ambient spa music. In an effort to "escape" time for a while, this did not help. The therapists were competent but distant. I have never had such an aggressive facial before. The bathroom was unavailable because it is located in the adjoining treatment room. I will seek out other spas in the future, in an effort to relax and feel pampered.

Beautiful restored mansion with tasteful, upgraded rooms that work with the charming old architecture (my favs have balconies! ). Very attentive staff and wonderful food! Adding a massage rounds off a perfect stay!

It was a beautiful New Year's Eve at the Idlewyld Inn! The meal was excellent with the lovely smooth jazz trio entertaining us. Ed Bloor, the food and beverage manager was the perfect host. He and his staff did everything in their power to please us. We especially enjoyed our night cap of B52 specialty coffees in the drawing room by the fire. Thank you for making our evening so memorable!

Beautiful old Victorian lovingly restored just outside lovely and historic Wortley village… A true hidden gem.

Very cute place for a romantic weekend away. Nice rooms and restaurant on site. Also there is a spa in the inn. The neighborhood is very nice and full of great older homes to walk through. Close to the village as well for coffee and more food.

Idlewyld is a charming Inn in the heart of London. The staff were warm and available to serve each guest. The dinner that was part of our package was absolutely delicious.

I like this place for my accommodations while in London. It is an adult house (not "fun" for kids). The service is friendly and prompt. It is a good (not great) mix of old and new. I'll be back.

I got pampered with a day at their spa, stayed in a lovely room with a jacuzzi tub, ordered room service that was delicious and had an all around great experience. Was the perfect night away for just me. The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating.
I highly recommend, whether it be for a night away or to enjoy the cuisine.

Lovely and delightful! We had a delicious dinner (fresh pasta and rack if lamb) out on the beautiful, well groomed patio. Inside the house is just as inviting and well kept, with rich furnishings and decor, and a quaint sitting room, where we had our lovely breakfast and freshly ground coffee. Our room had all the luxuries of a boutique hotel. Very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

We had reservations here for a getaway package including dinner and breakfast. Had also booked massages for both myself and my husband. Ended up having to cancel with less than 48hrs notice due to a pregnancy issue. They were very kind and accommodating, didn't charge us for the room, meal, or massages, even though we cut it close with our cancellation. Great customer service, can't wait to rebook a stay there in the future!

Idlewyld is an absolutely gorgeous old Victorian. The grounds and building are just stunning and you almost feel like you're transported to another time the moment you set foot inside. We only stayed overnight on a trip home from Montreal so we only got to experience Idlewyld for a short time. The room was beautiful, but hot. Very hot. Even with the AC up full blast and an oscillating fan on high it was almost too warm to sleep comfortably. The staff, however, were amazing. When we checked in, there was a technical problem with our US card but she went above and beyond to accommodate us. When we checked out and mentioned the heat and the discomfort, she knocked a little off the room to make up for it. They did right by us, and that is the true measure of hospitality. The staff of Idlewyld are incredible. The free breakfast was very good, above and beyond most free hotel breakfasts I've had. And Cara — the server we had — was lovely: friendly, genuine, and a true pleasure to have met. We would happily stay at Idlewyld again, although perhaps later in the year when the temps are a little cooler.

Beautiful hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. Best of all, it was affordable.

Location is great for a peaceful couples retreat. Would definitely recommend. The building is historic and staff is extremely friendly. The morning breakfast buffet is amazing and I'd recommend to have the breakfasts outside where you can hear the fountain and see the birds in the garden.

We stayed in room 302, this room was wonderful. It had a small porch on the front of the building and had a jet tub in the bathroom. Comfortable beds and friendly staff, make this small inn perfect for a quick getaway. Third visit and I love this place.

Overall the place is very nice. Clean, we'll laid out rooms and very pleasant, helpful staff. The attention to detail is lacking though. In my room the ceiling lamp was in need of repair as was the smoke detector dangling from the ceiling. The TV would be improved to better quality and larger model and the walls need some sort of sound proofing as you can hear everything going on around your room. I would stay here again as these items are minor annoyances and didn't impact our stay.

When it comes to detail and service, every aspect of the Inn is without flaw, at least during our four-day stay. My mother had wanted to visit her home town after having been away for decades and the Idlewyld Inn & Spa provided the ideal home for us to use in our visit. We had the benefit of the summer climate, and the gardens were at their peak — just spectacular. The gardener is more than happy to share his advice on the flowers and shrubs. The restaurant was exceptional. We cannot speak highly enough of the imaginative lunches and dinners. We found the main meals so delicious that a light continental breakfast with fresh fruit, smoked salmon and bagels, homemade granola, and a selection of bread and yogurt was perfect for us. We couldn't have asked for anything more and we left the Idlewyld Inn and Spa thoroughly relaxed and well-rested.
