My family was doing a vacation and stayed here. The room was very modern for it's furnishings and was extremely clean. The bathroom was very well put together and extremely modern as well. So even though we were in a basic room, the stay did not disappoint at all!

The elevators are incredibly slow to come after hitting the call button. I waited more than 5 minutes on multiple occasions. Other than that, the hotel was great. Centrally located with clean and modern rooms. The breakfast buffet was also surprisingly tasty.

When I first walked in, the concierge was super helpful in pointing me the right way. The lobby was pretty big with a nice lounge area and also a computer you could use. I met up with my friends and we went to the event. The setup was very professionally done. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming. After the event, the concierge was nice enough to call us a cab.

Great location. Nice and friendly staff. Parking was easy. Elevators were old, but under construction. Rooms were updated and clean.

Good location within walking distance of a lot of attractions. Rooms are nice clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are clean and look freshly grouted (no mould). There is adequate lighting throughout the room. Coffee machine in the room and in the foyer is convenient. The air conditioning was slightly noisy in the room but we only needed to use it infrequently. Elevators need renovation, although there are signs saying they're under renovation the signs look like they've been there a while. Service at reception was good and breakfast was replenished frequently although it is an express, so choice is limited.

Clean hotel. Walking distance to Eaton and the square. Parking is pricey but it is underground and safe. Close enough to qew. Easy to find. Breakfast had a lot of variety. Our room was recently updated. Nice design. Good short stay.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during our stay in Toronto. The room there was cozy and comfortable;the breakfast was simple but fabulous, what's more, the staffs there were all nice and always available to help you encounter your problems. Recommend it to all of you~

Good location and excellent care.

Quiet Hotel in the city centre at a competitive price (~ $150/night). KEURIG Coffee Machine, safe, microwave, fridge in each room. The beds are new, comfortable and not stoned. The décor of the rooms is recent. Free Breakfast and Wi-Fi. The gym consists of a bench, dumbells and 3 cardio machines. We sleep well and I will return!

Good rooms and services. — Rich meal.

What a beautiful hotel. So fancy and loved the decor. Very big shower. Comfortable beds. Loved the cool table that you can put beside the bed. I wish the botttom could slide all the way under so the table could go over the bed. Parking is tricky but it's Toronto. Loved this hotel a lot.

This Holiday Express Hotel is in a great location. Easy walking distance to wonderful restaurants and anywhere in the downtown. Newly furnished room with a very modern and bright washroom with walk-in shower. Brand new bed. Great breakfast and staff.

Newly renovated rooms when I stayed here, everything seemed modern and clean as if it has just been updated. Price was good and the location too. Only minor complaint for me was how thin the walls are as you can hear everything that's going on in the hallway from inside the room. Overall good value for money and I'd stay here again next time I visit Toronto.

Excellent care and very central.

Excellent place and location to meet its target newly remodeled and staff very helpful.

The hotel is located in a prime location and is easy to find from a moving vehicle. The parking is a paid garage but is conveniently located. The check in process was a breeze and we got to our room fine, coffee was served complimentary all day. Room as newly renovated and looked great. Our connecting room was great, had microwaves and Keurigs built in. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, conveniently timed and everything was fresh. Overall stay and service was great, 5 stars.

Very well expected and the location is a very good option close to the centre and market St. Lawrence.

Great experience, the lobby is beautiful when you walk in, everything is modern and clean. Discounted parking is provided (5min walk away). Parking 12$. Breakfast was included which is always nice, unfortunately as a vegan there were no options for me other than packaged oatmeal and a banana. The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable. The washroom was also very nice, well lit, nice shower with good water pressure. The shampoo smells wonderful. It's the nice citrus one. Friendly service at the front desk. Great experience overall.

Newly renovated. Parts of the parking elevator area still being renovated. Quick check-in and knowledgable staff. Room was clean and average size. Included breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express. Not the best breakfast ever, but not the worst either. Breakfast area is good size and well stocked when we were there. Would definitely stay there again. Great value.

Very good place. Close to everything. Ideal to go with children. Good and generous breakfast.

The location was pretty good, about a 15 minute walk from many restaurants/bars in the area. The rooms were clean and modern, I believe they have been recently renovated. There was a free breakfast included but it was not very good and the selection was small, I would recommend buying breakfast elsewhere if you want something decent.

Was in room 404. Pros: Very clean, modern and new room. Upscale furnishings and washroom fixtures — exceeded my expectations. Large seating areas for breakfast… which was plentiful and hot. Turkey sausages were tasty. Friendly efficient staff. Cons: Slow elevators and slightly sketchy areas.

Clean and recently updated facilities. No frills like room service. Room was good, well setup for the digital nomad with many USB charging ports and outlets, good task lighting and Bluetooth speaker. Great staff, friendly and professional. Only caveat is that some people use this as a party hotel and a fight broke out very late at night. To the staff's credit, this incident was shut down immediately after a call to the front desk. Would stay there again.

Flew in red eye. Staff was nice enough to allow early check in at 7am. Room was nice, clean. * not much of a view in room 808 though Complimentary breakfast was standard for price you pay.

Not happy with my stay here, while I thought the rooms were nice and up to standard, I thought the desk staff were basically emotionless to unfriendly, of the three elevators only one worked, and pretty sure when my party arrived back to the hotel from attending an event at the ACC, there was a prostitute in the lobby. Well to put it bluntly, not impressed, will not stay at this Holiday Inn Express again. Maybe I just got spoiled with all the other great stays I've had, I expect more. Give it a two star just on the merits of the room, room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Under going renovation but rooms are well done, neat clean. Great service. Good parking. Short walk to Yonge.

Rooms are very nice & clean. Extremely modern — usb charging ports just about everywhere! Unfortunately the rooms are not designed to reduce noise so you can hear everyone open/close their doors in the hallway (not to mention the conversations being had as well).

They were in the midst of a renovation. Room was clean, very nice rooms. Didn't have time for breakfast but looked fully stocked.

Hotel is newly renovated with updated rooms, very comfortable beds, and nice bathrooms. Front desk was helpful with questions. Parking is in garage below the building.

Nice hotel in downtown toronto…

Good value for a downtown hotel. Awesome, brand-new refurbished rooms. There was a bit of crowding and confusion in the lobby area when we were there, but mostly due to ongoing refurbishing/construction in there. Should be great when it's done. Fitness room wasn't available when we were there. Free breakfast is pretty basic, but appreciated. The lobby coffee you usually find was unavailable after hours, and the lobby bathrooms required a key from the front desk. I suspect they've had non-guests wandering in to take advantage?

Hotel in renovation, the rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast area very congested for the renovations. Good location.

The rooms were newly updated with convenient modern furnishings. There was a double sided view. The air conditioning was noisy but worked well. The lobby was still under construction and was a bit awkward but I'm sure it will be resolved. Breakfast buffet was warm and tasty. Hotel parking was very convenient as you pay $24 for 24 hours which was helpful if you check out but still want to do things in the city.

Rooms go large and newly renovated. Area restoration small. Very good location.

Central, tidy, recommended!

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a short vacation trip to Toronto. The location of the Holiday Inn Express was a great starting point for our walking and bus tour of the city, central to many sites and easily walkable to the main bus route. Our room was spacious and clean, but very basic. We had no refrigerator and the bathroom was small if not a bit cramped. The breakfast was served in very tight quarters so that many people were simply standing in each other's way rather than getting food and moving on. The elevators were exceptionally slow and only 2 of the 3 worked at any one time. Perhaps the worst part of our experience was the Wi-Fi which was sporadic and very slow when we did connect. The staff were generally friendly and tried to be helpful.

It was clean and well taken care of. The breakfast was good for being hungover. No frills, but what you got was good and professional.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I know the area and it is located very close to many attractions as well as adjacent to the downtown core. The room was clean and spacious and my check in could not have been easier. The staff were courteous and the environment was quiet. I had a great rest. There is / was some construction at the front which means pick up and drop offs were longer than usual, but they do have access to underground parking as well.

First of all, I wasn't expecting a 5 star room for a 31/2 star price. My expectations were realistic, if not even a little low. The room certainly didn't exceed these expectations. I wasn't expecting a modern decor; and I didn't get one. I wasn't expecting a nice, new bathroom with nice new tiled shower; and there wasn't one. I wasn't even expecting a flat screen TV; but there WAS one! What I DID expect was a good, quality, comfortable mattress; which there was NOT. The mattress was lumpy, flimsy, and needed replacing. It was so old/worn that the corners actually curled up a bit from the tension of the fitted sheet on it. It was NOT nice to sleep on. Given that I knew I was getting a 3-3¹/² star room, I'm not complaining about the decor or bathroom. What I am complaining about is the mattress. ANY Holiday Inn should provide you a quality mattress to sleep on at minimum. Oh, also, the included breakfast was decent. "Scrambled" (powdered) eggs, various breads, muffins, bacon, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, etc etc.

Stayed on a Monday night in late April. Check-in was great. Friendly people, fast and efficient. The room was fine. Clean and with all the usual things you expect to find in a hotel room. It wasn't anything spectacular but met expectations. There were only a couple of power outlets available (i. E. That were not behind furniture) and we had a laptop, 2 tablets and 2 phones to charge so we had to unplug a couple of lamps to charge everything overnight. We were in a room right next to the elevator but we did not hear any noise from the elevator overnight. Our window on the 9th floor opened all the way, had no screen or anything, was plenty big for an adult to fit through and did not lock. If you have a small child that likes to climb, this may make you nervous! Parking was good. The lot was a little cramped and I wouldn't want to bring a larger vehicle like a pick-up truck or big SUV down there, but it was fine for me in my small SUV. The Wi-Fi was simply unusable, but it’s important to note that the front desk told us they are in the process of upgrading their entire wireless network to faster speeds. I certainly hope so! I did some speed tests. It took me several tries over the course of about 5 minutes just to get the page to load. Once I was able to run the tests, I was getting terrible speeds (averaged 0.8 Mbps download, 0.65 Mbps upload and 850 ms ping). I tried on a MacBook Pro and an iPad and the maximum I saw was 0.95 Mbps download.

Great location. Ravish was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The couch was a little worn and the carpet in the hallway needed vacuuming. There was a smell of mothballs in the breakfast room. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I would stay again.

Room and hotel itself was fine, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, one of the gentlemen working at the front desk was rude. After being guaranteed parking for our truck (which was too tall for the clearance of the regular parking garage), we returned to the hotel to find our spot occupied. The employee said that not only had we not been guaranteed our parking space, but that he had no record of our booking (we had already spent two nights at the hotel, and spent a third night there without issue). Despite this one employee, a decent place to sleep with a good breakfast and Wi-Fi.

The Rooms were very clean, Bed and Pillows very comfortable, Nice Hot shower and new tub, Staff was extremely courteous and professional, the breakfast was amazing and big, this hotel is in walking distance of everything downtown. Being downtown, it is small but very comfortable and convenient. I would return on my next trip.

Not clean and ihad to clean the coffee pot … noisy bc of paper thin walls. Hidden taxes not informed of and poor poor television options. Never again.

Room was good. Great breakfast. Halls were dingy.

Location is good, halfway between the aquarium and distillery district. Made for some great shopping at the Eaton centre. Hotel is standard fare, nothing amazing nothing unexpected. Complimentary hot breakfast was standard tasty for hot breakfast. Price is reasonable, would stay again.

The location was quite good with easy access to Yonge St. And Queen St. Area. Underground parking on site. Staff was pleasant. Room size was smaller than average but was above average in looks and cleanliness. Bathroom was big enough but could use updating. I would stay here again.

Great service, but the hotel feels a bit shabby. Definitely could use a face lift. The elevators were very slow, and the safety on one wasn't functioning. The room was clean, however, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I would definitely stay here again. The location is great, our room and the hotel itself was clean and a full breakfast is included. Parking convenient too. Cannot beat the value of staying here.

I enjoyed my stay here very much! Even though I was on the go most of the time and didn't get back until 9 at night, I love my stay. The breakfast was really good and the room was cleaned up when we go back. I'd stay there again.

Nothing special. Standard Holiday Inn Express hotel. Breakfast room is usually overcrowded which creates stress right in the morning. Plastic cutlery LOL.

It's ok but nothing fancy.

First hotel I've ever been at with bed bugs. The standard of North American Holiday Inn's is all over the show. This one is particularly terrible.

Our room was a good size and clean, and the free breakfast — though pretty meh, itself — was a bonus. Other than that, I wasn't wowed. The location was okay. It's right next to Lawrence Market, but far from places like Kensington Market or the Distillery District. Still, it's walkable to all of these places, and I felt safe. I just didn't feel like I was in the heart of downtown, despite the hotel's name and promotional material suggesting so. We requested an 8:30 am wake up call, but never received one. And so we overslept! I hate to think what would have happened if we'd needed that wake up call to catch a plane. The staff at the front desk is helpful and accommodated requests (like a late check out). Free Wi-Fi was great, though the connection was shoddy at times. We paid $134 (before taxes) per night. Parking was an additional $20/24 hours.

Stayed here for 6 nights 24-30th April. Room was nice and clean, comfy beds, TV etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly — front desk and cleaning staff particularly. Breakfast was good and filling and set us up for our days of sightseeing. Very central, close to subway and near to shopping etc. Only criticism was to get a nice cup of tea. Our room only had coffee percolator which would not heat up water hot enough for tea. Had nice cup of tea with breakfast but not in room at night, which was when I wanted it. A Hot water dispenser used for breakfast room would be handy to be available at all times, or tea and coffee vending machine would be good. But overall 9 out of 10 for this hotel.

Good quality for price. Free Wi-Fi and HD TVs (with standard def cable channels). Great free hot breakfast, $20 additional cost for parking is pretty typical but allows you to enter/exit whenever you like. Was exactly what we expected.

Very affordable, quiet, clean and comfortable hotel located in a decent part of Toronto. Includes breakfast, a daily newspaper at your door, Wi-Fi and a smiling staff.

One of the best quality : price ratios. Included breakfast, like most Holiday Inn Express is great with good variety. Free Internet and newspaper in the morning. I've stayed here several times and would again for short stays. Rooms are small and dated, but clean. Staff were very friendly. Tvs are the big old CRT type. Heaters are also the old types in the corner of the room that are noisy.

Pleasantly surprised by the Holiday Inn Express on Lombard. Breakfast was decent enough with choices of yoghurt, skim and whole milk, pancakes, eggs, bananas, and bagels. Free Wi-Fi, room was clean. Everything is a bit dated, including the tube TV in the room. The staff were all great. Very pleasant and welcoming. The morning wake-up call was a person, which was a surprise. Good value for the money. 2 blocks away from the St. Lawrence market, and a quick walk to almost everything down town.
