The entire hotel smells like smoke including the lobby. Clean. Cheap price. Helpful front desk.

I called ahead and was advised of the room prices and what type of room to expect. Priel and Stuart were very professional and informative. I was able to hold a room by credit card but to pay by debit which I appreciated immensely. They required a $200 deposit for debit and cash but it is returned upon checkout if you treat the room as you should. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was huge and super comfortable. It was also quiet and I had the most sound sleep of my entire travels. In the morning Stuart informed us of the free breakfast we got with our room. The variety was great (coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal, hot foods like waffles, sausage, and oatmeal) and they used the attached restaurant for the morning which was neat. I would absolutely stay here again.

I stay here all the time. It's a great place. Pet-friendly to so that's awesome.

I have stayed here a fair number of times with nothing negative to say until now. This time I found hair on the bathtub and in the mini fridge. The bathtub did not drain very well at all it almost overflowed during my shower. When I turned on the water it came out brown. You would think that a place that runs water almost 24/7 the water wouldn't have a chance to go brown. I went for breakfast and the pancakes and sausages were under cooked and not very warm. When I went to the front desk to make my complaints the only reaction I got was oh we're sorry, but we can't offer you any compensation. A simple discount would have worked. When I went there to book a room they said the hotel was full. I left, but my curiosity got the better of me and I checked their website. Low and behold there were rooms available online. I took my phone to the front desk and was told that of I wanted a room I had to book it online. The hotel said they couldn't match the online price either. So this meant they had rooms after all. Why was I told sorry hotel is full? Using the Choice Hotels app I sat on their property and booked a room on my phone no problem.

Showed up around 11pm and their kitchen was closed which is strange cause they're open til 2am, but drinks were a good price and the server was attentive.

Great low key bar, with lots of tvs and great specials. Awesome staff.

The "pool" is very small and the breakfast isn't the best I've seen but the rooms are very nice and beds are very comfortable. Over all it's a great place to stay over night especially given the price.

The Golden Elephant restaurant was fine, fast service with reasonable prices. The food tasted good after the owner provided his home made hot sauce.

Very disappointed in the Hotel. Small outdated rooms, elevator and hallways smelled horrible. One ice machine for the whole hotel. Room smelled musty, Sheets were wrinkly, one thin blanket for the bed, mattress pad didn’t fit the bed, air conditioning/fan didn’t work. Bathroom was tiny, shower rod ready to fall off. Loud hotel guest, marijuana smell wafting into our room! Had a room close to the elevator and heard the dinging of the elevator all night! I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Was an overnight guest. Pet friendly. Great staff. Clean rooms. Would recommend.

I do hope the owner see this review as either you are having a technical problem or HR problem I called today at 7:26PM Winnipeg Time, a guy answered said cannot hear me, at all … I tried one more time , the same guy keep saying he cannot hear me … I initially though might be sth wrong with my cell and call the Holiday Inn down the street 20 min ago … u know what, the receptionist hear me clearly and I booked a room in less than 5 min … So I guess, either you need some maintainance to ur phone system, or hire someone who is willing to accept customers for you.

Clean, good environment, nice rooms, restaurant and bar and the staff are all very friendly.

Loved the location, room was nice, great staff and appreciate the pub on the lower level. Very happy with the stay besides loud hotel guests next door at 1am.

Parking was sufficient. Stayed in the love sweet, had a big heart shaped bathtub and a big shower.

The guy at the front desk is a moron. A complete idiot. There is no water cooler in the hotel to fill a container, they try and sell $3.00 per 591ml bottled water. Much more expensive than gasoline somehow. The rooms are shabby and in disrepair. The essence of death and decay permeates the corridors. The free breakfast starts at 7am which is way way way too late. I was out the door at 5am due to the goblins.

David the hotel manager disrespectfully told me I needed to leave the hotel because of my race and said that I needed to leave the hotel due to a matter that I was involoved with but not associated with. In my 25 years of living I have never felt such disrespect and racism towards my nationality as a African American male until today in Canada. And feel like I was completely wrongly treated just because of the Color of my skin.

Pretty costly for 1 night. Paid about $160, book it through a website where you can find it cheaper. Saw one for $71 dollars the day before arriving. Hotel is great. Amazing condition, beautiful layouts and easy access. Very quiet. Breakfast was alright. Came 10 minutes before they stopped the breakfast. That was our fault, but for what was there it was pretty good! I highly recommend this hotel for sure. The room for breakfast made you feel rich when you walked in haha. Very good place to go though.

The employees were friendly and the rooms were nice. The hallways could do with a bit if a face lift but other than that it was good.

We always stay here in Winnipeg. It is clean, affordable and comfortable. They also have a great breakfast.

Dump for the price rooms are tiny, A/C dirty and doesn't work properly. Beds are old, maids obviously lack cleaning skills. Mildew in bathroom. No parking, spots near building must be taken up by locals who are at the bar. Never again!

It was rather clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The hallways smelled of smoke somewhat.

We stayed here while travelling down east. We were well greeted by the hotel staff. The parking lot was full but still was able to manage a space. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was also clean. It was a little out dated but it was fine to stay for a night. Over all was satisfied with the service and the hotel.

Check in was good. Got to our room with 2 double beds. I'm 5'11 and my feet hung off the end of the beds… The shower looked promising; had the lever to select multiple streams. Wrong. Lever moved but it was stuck on mist. No insulation on the doors, could hear a mouse run down the hallway. Not to mention the drunks. (Obviously not the hotels fault) Continental breakfast was sub par. Was pretty much empty at 9:30; not a clean table in the restaurant. No eggs left and didn't get refilled.

Hotel had good service and was an acceptable price. Located within a short driving distance of downtown. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was good. Only complaint would be that the bed had only a single sheet and blanket. If your room feels chilly, don't be afraid to request a second blanket.

Not the most convenient location. Hotel looks very dirty and dated from the outside. No pool. However the rooms seem clean and the breakfast was better than expected.

I would rate this hotel minus 5 if I could worste hotel with urinated sheets and madrass smelly and stains all over carpet and mold. I left the next day even though I paid fir 3 nights because they wouldn't change the room and they've was was very rude.

It's an older hotel with some updates. No wired internet but the wireless is solid. Very good breakfast included. Suites are available for a decent price.

Nothing super fancy, but a clean place to stay. Decent included breakfast and respectful staff. I was happy to find room to park with a trailer still attached to my truck.

Amazing place to stay… kind receptionists and comfortable clean rooms. Raving about the free continental breakfast, eggs and bacon! Fresh waffles, bagels and muffins. Highly recommend to stay here. Low prices for great quality. Will be staying here again whenever in Winnipeg.

We wanted to spend our 50th anniversary in a suite with a Jacuzzi. This place had a theme room which looked great on the website but when we got there no closet to hang our clothes one lamp did not have a plug in any where near the we could use no place to sit other then the bed. Breakfast was cold eggs ham and hash browns. Price was 230.00 for 1 night. Not worth the stay will never go back.

The smoking room was a dump when we got there. It had what looked like piss stains on the lampshades, burn marks on the carpet, with cheap brown blankets on the bed, you know the ones that you get as extra blankets in a real hotel. And of course it smelled putrid from smoke. To my dismay, after I left, they charged my credit card $1057 to clean up a coffee stain they claim. They didn't have their staff wipe it down, instead they charged me 300 for deep cleaning and 700 to paint the ceiling and 60 for new lamp shades. Now no matter what happened it is clear they are extorting me for as much as their greedy thieving hands can get. Preying on the Holiday traveler they don't think will come back or complain. They are pathetic as they are disgusting, please don't fall prey to their predatory practices.
