Good service in the lounge and easy on the eyes, good food as well and nice rooms.

George Dawson inn is on par price wise with the super 8 and other lower cost hotels in Dawson. The rooms are reasonably clean although the housekeeping staff did not clean my room after my first night in the hotel. The beds are comfortable and clean. The TV is on the small side. Likely 32 inch. The room has a radiant heater along one wall and a very small air conditioner. Neither is called upon to work too hard right now so I can't comment on their performance. The hotel is mostly quiet though the sound of footsteps does travel pretty clearly through the roof if you have a room above you which I do. The elevator is very old and slow. Overall, I would recommend the George Dawson if you're on a budget and want a comfortable stay, but I wouldn't expect the world.

Nice spot. Great rooms. Good restaurant. Free breakfast is reasonable. Breakfast drinks are approximately 1 sip. A bit loud at night. Someone was knocking on doors on my floor from 330 to 430 am.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but is a great little hotel. Rooms are large and clean, everything works perfectly and room has everything you need. Great laundry room and wonderful staff that are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. All around the perfect stop on Dawson Creek.

Free breakfast is amazing. It's actually made at the restaurant and it's alot of food.

Free gym passes! Decent gym, hot breakfast not always the best service in restaurant but its acceptable. Would stay again for sure. Liquor store attatched and good location.

Nice big room, great breakfast, the room was clean, but there was a piece of plastic mouth brace in the bathroom.

I stay at the GDI when I have to come here for work. I have always been happy with my stay here. I like the rooms, food, and dealings with the staff — a lot nicer than places I have stayed at in Burns Lake and a place our company has put me up at in McBride.

Fabulous resturant. Rooms are very comfortable. The lounge is great fun. Handy liquor store on site.

Pretty basic facilities, lots of parking.

Have been to the gdi many times over the years, always very clean with a good restaurant.

Poorly renovated. The whole hotel smells like cigarettes. Non smoking rooms are still filled with smoke from other rooms. Windows don't open to get fresh air. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Lower price range for area but staff not knowledgeable for area and not well cleaned. Free breakfast was good.

Reliable not band new dose Reno's has a gym next door free for guests has good Wi-Fi, historical site has a restaurant and a bar also a liquor store. Has laundry facilities and services. Friendly service ;-)

Got jacuzzie room. Very spacious. Breakfast is slow if your in a hurry.

A Dawson Creek landmark, the GDI has definitely seen better days. It has a walkway of historic photos and onsite liquor store and restaurant. Reasonable place for a work stay.

The GDI has always treated us very well. They always seem to be able to find rooms for our crew. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff know us by name and make us feel at home.

We use their banquet rooms frequently. Managers here are really great, very happy every time we book.

Ive stayed there alot for work and also after conserts in dawson staff is great clean rooms good food I would and will cheack in the gdi b4 anywhere else in dawson.

Used to stay here when I was in minor hockey. Good rooms and across the street from Tim Hortons and McDonalds.

Stayed here 2 weeks for work. Rooms updated and clean. Our smoking room smelled strangely of fabreeze and vinegar. However enjoyed the stay.
