Clean rooms, friendly service and our dogs were welcomed!

I would not recommend this hotel, we tried to get a room and was denied for no reason… literally walked in and asked for a room and was told, no sorry there is no rooms available… got another friend to call and ask if there was a room available? the lady at the counter said yes we have lots of space… go back in and ask for a room and was denied. We did nothing wrong had some drinks and food at sharks club, so we did not want to drive so that's when we tried to get a room… very discriminating and the employee that was working was very rude.

We stayed here last night we had very comfortable beds microwave fridge lounge and dining areas Couldn’t want any more.

This is a 4 star hotel but no microwave no refrigerator no breakfast no pool we love last time at Ramada 3 star they have lot more and they have everything.

Needs refrigerators and microwaves in the double double rooms. I don’t know what is in other rooms. I would stay here again.

Currently I'm staying in the hotel with 5 of my children, and 2 of them are sleeping on mattresses on the floor. A reservation made over a month ago wasnt honored. They advised me to pay for a 2nd room or my kids can sleep on the mattresses on the floor as they dont have enough cots. All the desk front staff could do was argue the fact and find little customer service in their skills. I find this unhygenic and appalling we will be contacting the local Health authority as well as upper management.
there was no meals comped or apologies for their mistake, all they could do is blame someone else or find an excuse. We are away from home and have spent half of the day in our room waiting for some type of resolution instead of going out and doing the activities we booked our weekend away for.

Very clean rooms. I booked at the counter last minute and they only had king suite. I've been in those before and this one lived up to it as well. The Rockford grill is attached and great wings… good service at the front desk… they asked of I had a pet so I assume that you can have pets with a deposit.

Due to a bad foul smell in room 424 along with a dirty banket in the pull out couch we switched rooms to 427 and noticed there were NO screens on the already opened windows. My toddler was playing behind the curtains and had I not noticed the missing screens he could have easily fallen out due to the windows being at his level of height. I had mentioned it to the maids on my way out the following morning and they explained that they have had several raised concerns about this issue but its not being addressed. This is very dangerous and these rooms should not be signed to families with young children.

Let's start with the bad… Hot, humid, and dusty. -Check-in was a little rough and disorganized but forgivable. -The smell of damp wallpaper was overwhelming in our room on the second floor. -The power outlet for the excessively loud AC was not working and the cable barely reached the next outlet which was behind the TV. -There was a strange couple drops on the sheets which appeared to be blood. -House keeping asked me to collect the laundry and garbage from the room and put it in the cart. -No fridge in the room. The good… -The pool had a nice outdoor patio area attached. -Staff were kind and hospitable. -Bed was comfortable and pillows were actually soft. -Easy access to hotel from the highway.

Very nice staff. Mostly clean room but some dust. The tiled areas could be tidier.

Good place to stay, room was quiet and clean and tons of ammenities very close by. Couple minor wear and tear issues in the room, couch had a couple tears in it and the bathroom sink drain plug wouldn't work properly but would definately stay here again.

The hotel staff was very helpful and the room is clean as expected.

Hotel is probably the best of the major chains in quesnel. Getting a little dated in some areas but there is steady maintenance being issued.

We stayed before in quesnel and it's was nice. This stay was not. The heater was broke and wouldn't turn off. The remote was broken for the tv. The wiring in the bathroom for the lights was funny. It would flicker. Also this time the room did not have a fridge like before but I paid more for the room. The lady at the front was nice and did give me $25. Off the stay for 2 nights for our troubles but all in all this time our stay was not great.

A well appointed hotel. All the amenities that you would need. The only downside is the location. Quite a distance from the center of town but extremely handy for the shops.

Reasonably clean rooms, comfortable bed. Quiet too. Not impressed with dinner from Denny's (attached restaurant). 2nd stay — Denny's was MUCH better! Make sure you use the ball/ bar lock! Housekeeping entered my room WITHOUT knocking … as I was getting out of shower about 9am! NO APOLOGY from housekeeping!

Clean, good service, house keeping does good as well to.

Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Definitely recommending to family and friends!

I have never stayed in a pet friendly room before but if this is the standard, I will never do it again. The room must have been fabreezed cause it smelt ok when we first came into it so we dropped off our stuff and went for a late dinner after driving all day. We came back it was late so we just crawled into bed. The smell of animal and urine was overwhleming, I mean unbearable. My boyfriend tried to convince me to switch rooms but I was just simply too tired. If the smell wasn't enough to turn my off the bathroom would have done it. It was super grungy with broken floor tills, and a bathtub I refused to step in. It is clear from the entire building that it is not being kept up to the level I generally expect when paying $140 something a night… overall very disappointing.

Staff was great! Very polite and knowledgeable! I will stay again!

A little pricey for the condition of the hotel, but the service is very good and the staff is great.

The rooms are decent and clean. During the low season they've also given free upgrades (to king bed). Best of all, it's the only hotel in Quesnel with breakfast (Denny's) and dinner (Shark Club) adjacent. Near perfect for working trips.

Great atmosphere, service, and amenities. Friendly well trained staff. Experience doesn't leave you wanting anything.

Loved the room, it was clean and comfortable and had all the necessities except maybe a microwave. Overall fabulous experience, friendly staff who were extra accommodating to our need for a little extra time due to traveling with a newborn. Only knocked one star off because it was hard to sleep due to being next to the stairwell and there were a ton of energetic kids running up and down them, but this was not the fault of the hotel staff. Thanks Sandman! Most comfy hotel beds ever.

I must have spoken to someone having a terrible day. Carrie, I think she said. Very unhelpful and kind of rude.

I don't have much to say about this place as I only stayed here one night, but I will say that it was a cushy stay for a generous price. There is a bar downstairs that has very overpriced but very delicious drinks. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. However, a lot of water escaped from the shower to floor. This same shower had evidence of black mold growing in it, as well. Also, the art piece above the bed, despite being heavily secured to the wall, creaked all night long as if it were going to fall. Overall, it was a nice stay. I'd stay here again, although I hope they'll have taken care of the black mold problem by then.

Check in was easy, beds super comfy. Only complaint is small tubs! Otherwise was a good night.

Best sleep ever. Comfortable beds big fluffy pillows. Awesome staff. I'm a tour bus driver. I spend a lot of time in hotels, I know these things.

From the first moment I called the hotel and accidentally put myself into the wrong wedding party the people at the sandman helped me out. I got help checking in and I don't know how many times I deactivated my key but they fixed it. Everyone was amazing Thank you so much.

Room stunk like bad B. O. Shower had black mold, bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way. Let the lady know when checking out in the morning and didn't even get a simple apology, just that she would let maintenance know which I doubt will happen because I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice the Black mold. Definitely won't be back there again. If I could add pictures to this review I would.

It lives up to the Sandman brand. No issues with the room and staff were friendly. Bed is super comfy if you like a pillowy soft bed.

Amazing hotel. Friendly staff, amazing location, clean rooms. With a swimming pool and workout room it really suits everybodys wants and needs. The beds are great and feel brand new, the pillows are amazing. I prefer this place over being at home.

Great place to stay for a golf weekend in Quesnel. Affordable rates and decent rooms. Hot tub and pool could use a renovation, but were finally open this year when we went. Shark Club downstairs has a tasty menu and is very convenient.

Beautiful hotel, was there mainly for visiting family. Clean tidy room, very elegant feel to the rooms. Parking is a bit tough tho if you have a larger vehicle. Close to restaurants and shopping. Overall a Great establishment.

Enjoyed the butter chicken in the Sharks Club. There is always plenty of sauce and chicken and the peppers and onions are beautifully cooked.

Enjoyed wings and drinks with friends at the resturant. Services were excellent. Food was fantastic. Would suggest it to anyone.

Not the hotels fault but there was a smoker somewhere near, ruined my whole stay. Room was older but clean. Bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was really gross. Mildew all around the tap. Wiped it all off with a washcloth before touching anything. Rooms are showing their age. The best western is much nicer in Quesnel.

Clean your air conditioners every once and a while. It was so dirty and gross. Do some updates. My toilet barely worked and took forever to flush.

Did not stay at the hotel, however attended the "Sharks Pub" attached to the building. Good and service was good, would return again.

The employees lack common sense. American's beware. This hotel does not take U. S. Currency. It was suggested that I go to the Denny's Restaurant and get change so I could pay in Canadian money. Unbeknown to me, I walked out of the hotel without my ID. Denny's did not have the change, so I decided to keep driving until I could find another hotel. I drove 120 km (1.5 hours away) only to realize that when I went to pay for gas with my credit card, I did not have my WA state drivers license. The employee had not returned it to me; it was not in my visual site and I did not see it behind the desk. The lack of customer service to return my drivers license was a nightmare. I was told by the evening staff that it would be sent first thing in the morning special delivery to me at the Ramada hotel (awesome customer service and beautiful hotel! ) where I stayed for the night. I called the Sandman the next day to see when I could expect my license. I called around noon and the front office manager said she didn't send it. I asked her why and she said, "I couldn't reach you by phone and I needed to know how you were going to pay for this. " I informed her that it was her employees error for not returning my property. I then asked why she didn't call the Ramada Inn where I was staying. Her response, "I didn't have the local number. " The simple lack of common sense to looking up the Ramada Inn's number to reach me delayed my stay for 26 hours.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We checked in last night and found the A/C wasn't working, so they quickly upgraded us (at no extra cost) to a King suite. The rooms are very clean, and there's a pool.

Spent 3 nights here in early July. Pleasant staff, clean and neat room, good family restaurant at one end, and bar and grill at the other end. Good rest, good food, good price. What more can one ask.
