Reviews of Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows 2*
Johnston canyon is a great family friend hike, especially the lower falls. It took us about 15-20 min to get there. We got there semi early (7-730am) and we had the lower falls to ourselves. When we were on our way back after going to ink pots, there was literally a line to see the lower falls. Do yourself a favor and go early! You won't regret it.
This was a very nice hike and would be worth 4 or 5 stars, except it is very crowded. Parks Canada has built a catwalk that provides easy access into the canyon; the catwalk is fairly narrow, so when crowds are going in both directions, it gets congested. The crowds aren't surprising, given that the scenery is very nice, and it is an easy hike. If you go, the extra walk to the upper falls and the upper viewing deck is worthwhile. We were there late in the day and didn't have time to make the additional hike to the paint pots.

I went to Johnston canyon in June so the weather is really good. The views that you get here are amazing and it's something you can do even if you are not in the best shape. The hiking is divided "by levels" and yo get to the farthest spot takes approx 2 hours. However, along the path there are amazing waterfalls that you can enjoy without making it to the top.
