Staff scoffed at my concerns about a sanitary room and the fact I asked where the pool was.

I wouldnt stay at a different hotel, I felt comfortable and enjoyed the pool during these crazy times. Melroy at front desk was very helpful with anything we needed and jerry from service was very nice and very efficient!

We spent Valentines 2021 at the Westin Edmonton, it was incredible! Amazing service and even more incredible food… Perfection! We missed taking pictures of our dinner but this was the best charcuterie, the beef tenderloin & chocolate dipped strawberries were so good we just forgot to take pictures! Thank you for a great evening!

My girlfriend had a reservation there last night for her bday… she parked in the lot adjacent to the hotel which they thought was for guests, and went inside. The front desk woman proceeded to accuse them of being Street people?! saying she saw them walking from the street and not from the parking lot etcetera… gave them a really hard time and when she discovered they had a reservation still gave them so much attitude they decided to leave before even checking in. Ended up with the Matrix downtown with no issues and it was lovely. Will not be staying here! try Sutton Place etc instead.

Our stay here was very good! The hotel is clean and quiet the staff was very friendly!

I had to choose yes or no. So I decided to go with yes. Rooms were spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. No real extra effort in other amenities since the pool, sauna and gym was closed and you had to go elsewhere. I had one of the large blackout shades come falling down on me when I went to open the blind and they did nothing, except fix it. I talked to 2 front desk people who said sorry but that was it. Good thing I was able to block my head from the blow! mostly it was okay except for not much hot water but I guess that's expected with a big convention of us.

Even though the hotel was under construction it didn’t interfere with our stay. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Great location downtown.

First time staying. Long trip in and was looking forward to dinner. Menu stated full menu was available until 11pm. Called to order room service prior to this time, and was told the kitchen shut down earlier and that it was no longer available. I did ask that the manager be notified of my disappointment, and never heard back from she/he either… Will stay at the Fairmont for next trip.

We had our wedding at the Westin in Edmonton on August 18! We started planning it with Adam Bailey, our Westin Events manager in February 2017 and we can’t say enough amazing things about him. He answered all of our questions so quickly and didn’t make us feel dumb or annoying once even if he thought we were being so! We were treated like royalty by the Westin with the service from Adam and all of the staff we encountered with. We would 100% book an event at the Westin again and highly recommend them for anyone else to have their event or wedding there. They are a first class company and we are so thrilled we chose to have our reception there!

This is a spacious venue, with great decor and awesome, professional service. I come here every year for Folk Fest, and every year the Westin staff are kind, accommodating, and helpful. This establishment is top notch!

Perfect hotel to enjoy downtown Edmonton. A few blocks away from the river trails. Across the street from great bars and restaurants. This place has great amenities including an on-site restaurant, bar, gym, and pool. And the best part is the breakfast buffet.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and both visits were excellent. However both cases the water pressure in the showers were low. Other than that amazing. The hotel is also very pet friendly. They brought our dog a cute very comfortable dog bed and bowls for his food and water. The in room service was also very good and I highly recommend their tomato bisque and risotto (the best risotto for only $7). This is the only place I’ll stay in Edmonton.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Once you get past the lobby, the hotel does seem a bit dated, but they do everything well with what they have.

I spent three days at this hotel for work and I normally don’t write reviews but the staff was sooo fantastic I had to take the extra time to write this review. We booked a banquet room and both Vacilli, Alex and Tania were fantastic especially Vacilli. This was the first time we had our room set up exactly to our specifications no changes were needed which is a rarity. Then after work was over we asked the concierge what there was to do close by she suggested to try the city boat ride. Long story short what was to be a half hour trip turned into a three hour trip because the captain got us stuck down river and was unable to get us back up stream to the dock due to a combination of fast rapids and lack of skill. We ran into both banks during his attempt to get us up stream. The concierge asked how our boat ride was and we told of the adventure. Now we weren’t pissed in fact there retelling of the story was done with quite a bit of joviality. However she went above and beyond by having a bottle of wine brought up to our room and drawing a handwritten note! I’m at a new hotel every week for work and this staff was by far the most personal, genuine, and all around helpful that I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. If you’re thinking about booking this hotel please do it you won’t regret it!

Always love staying at the Edmonton Westin. The location is decent, the staff and attention to detail are always great though. Building is older, but they have a newly renovated wing. Looks good! Comfortable rooms.

I stay at the Westin every time I make a weekend trip to Edmonton. It is a good hotel in a decent location. The lobby is welcoming and I never have to wait long to check-in. The only "complaint" is that the rooms are starting to feel dated so maybe it is due for a renovation soon.

Very clean and comfortable beds. The food is very overpriced and mediocre. The facilities (pool and sauna) was disappointing. No hot tub. Went to enjoy the sauna with my husband but it’s separated in the ladies and men’s bathrooms. It’s good for business travel but not much else.

My wife and her colleague stayed here and found the staff courteous and the rooms clean. She was also quite impressed with the breakfast arrangement. When I contacted them for a request they called me back as quickly as they could and were very helpful — exemplary service.

Nice hotel to stay in. Located near the city centre. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

Parking is pretty expensive: SELF = $33/day, valet = $44/day. Quite a rip off in my opinion. Standard rate for 1 room with 2 beds is approximately $250/day, which is quite pricey for a basic room with no extra amenities, although it is very neat & clean. The hotel is equipped with a pool & gym on the 3rd floor, which is well maintained & quite nice. Laundry is available upon request. Breakfast buffet is close to $31/adult, pricey although they do provide a variety of food options with good service. Very close to City Centre mall & Citadel theatre. Everything is easily accessible by walk. Staff is friendly, helpful & very attentive. Overall, very nice but it's on the expensive side in my opinion. If I didn't book the room with my points, I would probably opt for another hotel.

Enjoyed weekend stay despite check-in delay. Given voucher for delay. Room clean and comfortable; spacious. Delicious food for room service and restaurant. Fabulous time.

Stayed there with our dog. They are great with pets! Everyone was very very helpful The $30 3 course dinner in the restaurant is the best deal in downtown Edmonton! The hotel is in a great location easy waking to everything.

Nice weekend getaway. A little bit of wear in room and bathroom could be brighter but otherwise very good. Very clean and very comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet as well so great sleep. Lobby bar and lounge could be a bit cozier.

Good hotel. Location is excellent, near the mall, theatre, museums, public transport and restaurants. We were upgraded from a deluxe room to the royal suite on the 20th floor. It was spacious and had fantastic views of the city. The service was excellent and ALL STAFF were professional, welcoming, efficient and caring. There is a nice pool and a lovely gym. The only thing that they could improve on is the outdated interior of the room. Overall excellent experience and I recommend this hotel!

I've been to the Westin a few times for work events and meeting up with friends from out of town. The facilities are always clean and the staff is friendly. If you need a hotel that's close to everything downtown this is the one. Valet service is also available. :)

Very nice hotel. Rooms are super spacious. Coffee maker and mini bar provided. Bed with a awesome and you can make the room really dark. Which is nice if you need to sleep during daytime. Staff is incredibly helpful. I needed some shoes to be repaired while I was away and they took care of it.

We ordered a catered Christmas dinner through the Westin this year. The feast was delicious and of great value. The order was available for pickup in a timely manner and the food was fresh and cooked well.

Incredible service. I stay here for business and was on a tight schedule for my last visit. The management team went out of their way to have my luggage delivered to my last meeting, and a cab ready to take me to the airport. Highly recommend and will be returning for my next business trip.

Good service at the front desk. Very upscale inside. Rooms are very nice. In the heart of downtown so the views are incredible from the rooms.

The room was very nice and we went to the restaurant for dinner on New year's Eve the food was fantastic. There was a set menu for the evening with a wine pairing, the whole experience was lovely. The restaurant is smaller and very cozy, the chef even came out to check on us while we ate.

AMAZING hotel! I cannot say enough. They were incredible and helped me coordinate a surprise gift for my significant other. They went above and beyond. Exceptional customer service, cleanliness and outstanding professionalism.

Hated : Pool was freezing, kids lips were blue after 10 minutes. No hot tub. Underground parking was full and we had pay extra to park across the street. No fan in the bathroom. Loved: Clean and quiet. Helpful and polite staff. Comfiest hotel beds we've ever slept on. Location downtown. Size of room was great! Security.

Front desk person was confused as to how self park my truck worked. Carpet in room was coming apart at the seams. Someone's fingernail clipping left on desk. Dark bathroom. Expensive meals not worth the cost. Advertise turkey breast sandwich and get sandwich meat? Really? Won't stay again. Paid $170 plus $30 for self park. Wowsers.

I expected more from this location, I feel the hotel could of done more. Room was dated with older cloth furniture but the bed was fantastic and did not make me uncomfortable. Woke up each morning feeling nice. Bathroom was outdated, cape in main room had a smell though overall I was satisfied with the very quiet room. Guest services was always available when I needed them, felt genuinely welcomed. Did not use any other service in hotel as I felt the restaurant was overpriced, especially for breakfast. Not my first choice next time but certainly not a bad one by any means.

Stayed for one night after a very long days traveling and found everything was ok the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a meal at the bar and breakfast and the food was very good.

Best experience ever the night before the Edmonton Marathon. After our room was not ready, we were upgraded too an amazing suite on the top floor. My kids had a blast enjoying a superb room we would have never paid for normally. Staff were amazing and pool was great. This is our only choice in downtown Edmonton from now on.

We recently stayed here for a 3 day convention. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful. From the doormen (valets) to the front desk to the cleaners, everyone was great. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again. We did not eat there but had heard that food was good.

Beds are very comfy! Rooms are clean and well looked after. Wish it had complimentary breakfast! Room service is fast. Quality of food is okay but kind of pricey. Overall very much enjoyed our stay!

Both according to my fit bit and how I felt in the morning this place has amazing beds and I slept like a baby. Our room didn't have cold water would be the only complaint. Staff were great fitness facility was impressive. Sauna was exceptional.

The Westin Edmonton is fine. It's a hotel with hotel stuff. The room was sort of clean, although some random long black hairs were in my shower and on the spare bed that I didn't use. And the cleaning crew never bothered to clean them up. Room service was fine, but very over-priced … and I kept getting some woman's voice mail when I tried calling the restaurant. The main issue I had with this hotel was that the guy at the desk offered me late check-out when I checked in. However, on a whim, I decided to verify my check-out time the night before checking out. Apparently they "don't guarantee late check-out times" even though they're the ones who offered it to me and NO ONE called to tell me that I wasn't checking out late. I was pretty mad about it and had to change my shuttle time (which, fortunately the shuttle company did at the last minute). No one at the hotel seemed to care that they had basically just screwed me over. Elevators are slow. Safe didn't work. I won't stay here again.

Location is great. There are many restaurants near by and the staff was wonderful. They were able to print off our Beyoncè tickets for its. The only issue is that I wasn't able to connect to Wi-Fi in our rooms through my apple devices while my friends with androids were able to. I probably could have contacted someone to help me through it but I was there for one night so it wasn't a big deal. Overall my stay was great.

Room and bed were comfortable and had good climate control. Dinner at the Share restaurant / lounge had a decent menu, tasty food and adequate service. Unfortunately the heating cooling system made some howling noises and the washroom's lighting was dim and randomly changed brightness. Overall I am very happy with my stay.

The Westin is an excellent place to hold meetings or events. You can relax at the lounge or have fine dining in Share. The rooms are practical for business or nice romantic evening. Has all immenities I needed.

I had a great experience. I stayed on the 15th floor, and my room was immaculate. The washroom was a little small, but it's a hotel and I don't think I needed a whole lot of space. The bed was AMAZING! Unbelievable how comfortable the bed was. I found the hotel itself to be in quite nice shape, I had no complaints over it needing updating like some other reviews said. The only thing that could maybe be improved was the TVs in the rooms, as it looked quite old, but I really didn't come for the tv. The only downfall really, was the breakfast buffet. The food was alright, but it was very expensive. It was 25 dollars, and I'm not a huge eater, but it was Cheeper to get the buffet by the time I had juice and coffee, so I didn't feel like I got my worth. It would be better to walk to a nearby Denny's, if at all possible. The staff were the biggest plus, from the moment I checked in, to the moment I left, every person in that hotel was courteous and very hospitable. The valet staff were excellent, and greeted me by name. The comfortable beds and amazing customer service is enough reason for me to send coworkers and friends that way next time they are in Edmonton.

Good place for conference. Nice seating. Starbucks coffee and good continental breakfast. Yogurt parfait was nice.

Here on business, and am overly unimpressed. Only on level eight, but you can tell the hotel needs renovation in many areas. Walking the halls feel like a 2 star hotel, and the rooms are small. Furniture is worn and TV is like a first or second Gen flat screen and small! Room service! My lord, I could make ten breakfasts for the price of one of theirs! And higher end. If you want a cup of herbal tea, be prepared to spend $5.50 for the tea, then another 15% gratuity, $5 delivery fee and 5% tax. The bed is great. That's the two stars are for! Plus, Wifi is not included in your stay. Ummmm it's 2016 folks. Glad the company is paying. Won't be coming back.

I was at a real estate convention in their ballroom I never in my entire life have had food that one bite and I put my fork down and said you got to be kidding. Absolutely disgusting 8 people at our table I asked them to rate from 1-10 about the food and could not get past 4. Whoever came up with this food should be fired. I will never return. And by the way was $125 per PLATE. Absolutely insane pricing, could get McDonalds burger that's a week old and would be better and cheaper. Would not feed this food to my dog. Bathroom was Dirty, toilet paper on the floor, spit all over the place, does not seem like they clean it.

Great service and great location. Facilities and rooms are dated and in need of updating otherwise good downtown hotel. Wifi was weak in my room which made it hard for work. Lobby bar is pretty good and food is okay. Lots of great options close by.

Used our free SPG night. Nicely upgraded room with lots of power points all with USB ports. No complaints.

We ordered the pheasant, which was dry. The waiter did not describe ANY of the dishes when they were served, which is customary when at a fine dining restaurant. The service was mediocre, wine / refreshments were not refilled unless the waiter was waived down. The ratio of waiter to tables was roughly 1 waiter per 5 tables, and it was not busy. The fois gras was good.

Went here for a conference, elevators were not working. The parkade elevator that wasn't working wasn't very clearly marked so I saw a few people wait and wait for an elevator that wouldn't come.

Over priced. Add an extra $40 — $50 a day to your price of the room. $30 for parking (if the garage isn't full). Internet starts at $10 a day for Wi-Fi (didn't think hotels even charged for Wi-Fi in 2015 much less 2016). Rooms were (visibly) clean, I'll give them that. But I'd expect nothing less for the price they charge. And if you're hungry, don't entertain the thought of the hotel restaurant, unless you want to spend $20 for two eggs and bacon. You're better off strolling down jasper. Shop around.

Great rooms and service. Had a leakage in the bathroom and they came back to me twice and asked pro actively if I wanted to mlmove to another room.

Stayed here about 5 times. Solid hotel, comfy beds and good service. Parking can be a bit of a pain if underground lot is full. Join their preferred program for free as it gives a few perks.

I only went for a drink. Service was great & loved that Aprikat was on tap!

Room was clean. Bed and bedding was comfy. Staff were friendly and accomidating. Only complaint was broken thermostat in room which kept the temp too hot.

I've stayed here a couple times and it is the best place in the city for a good sleep. The Weston beds have an extremely comfortable mttress, and heavy bedding that always makes for a good sleep. My parents actually liked their mattress there so much they bought one for home. The lobby has been recently redone and looks great, though some of the rooms are older and showing signs of wear (loose plugs, worn corners, etc. ) During my last stay I was really impressed with the Internet. Free network was provided, or you could upgrade for $3 a day. I paid for the upgrade and it was great. No problems watching Netflix or streaming video. I've never driven to the hotel but watch out for the parking fees as they're not cheap.

Went to a conference held at the 2nd floor, in a room called Saskatchewan. The decor was elegant, and the place was wide enough to comfortably accommodate 400 people. The breakfast and lunch service was professional and delicious.

Very nice hotel. The only downside is having to pay for parking… but you're downtown in a major city… so I guess that's going to happen. Our room had a great view of the downtown city skyline, and they provided complimentary Wi-Fi when I asked. So, overall, very pleasant stay.

PARKING IS TERRIBLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A TRUCK! I get that it's downtown, but I still think a hotel should have some level of parking. The garage in the building? $30/night and a truck is overheight. Same across the street. And good luck finding street parking.

I booked a room at this hotel recently. It was my wife's birthday weekend and we wanted to be close to downtown. The hotel was listed as a 4 star but as someone who has stayed in many hotels I'd say it was a 3 star at best. The bathtub in the room was very dirty and it was apparent that the room was never cleaned before we checked in. When my wife used the shower the water would not drain leaving the tub half full of water leaving me unable to shower. We called and they sent a maintenance worker to fix it but after almost 2 hours he could not fix the problem. The hotel finally at that point offered me another room and the other side of the hotel to shower. This all happened on the day of my wife's birthday which left me having to cancel part of our plans for the day. The staff offered me nothing for the inconvenience and stated I would be contacted regarding the matter. Nobody ever called. Terrible customer service.

The Share restaurant in the Westin Edmonton hotel: The three of us (one adult, one teen, and one pre-teen) ate the breakfast buffet on a Sunday. I was shocked to see that a 15% service charge was added to the bill making the total come to about $100; I thought that was only done for large groups. The server only poured juice and took away plates. The food was average (nowhere near as good as the buffet at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver where we ate a few months ago). I regretted eating here, and I would not return.

Pros: — The beds were super comfortable — Very clean, and the room design was fantastic — The valet service was quick and friendly Cons: — The late night room service is garbage, and pizza 73 was ordered because they wouldn't prove us with food — For over $300 a night for a room, this doesn't include internet or a cot — The AC was a piece of garbage and made so much noise it kept waking us up at night — My Starwood rewards card points aren't accepted at this particular location — No batteries in the remote control (which was fixed after we needed it) At the end of the day the amount of money being spent at the Westin would have been much better spent on an Air BnB rental, Homeaway rental, or a different hotel. I wouldn't waste my time staying at this Westin location EVER again.

My wife and I have always enjoyed staying at the Westin. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant downstairs has some tasty items on offer. I guess my only complaint is that you have to pay for the Wi-Fi access. Most properties include this as a standard amenity especially in a hotel that is frequented by business travellers. The location of the hotel is central and is easily accessible by underground walkway to the LRT and downtown shopping centre. Remember to include the cost of parking in your stay.

This is our "go to" hotel when we visit Edmonton. We love all the Westins. The staff are very friendly, they serve great wine in the dining area and it's just such a nice treat to stay here. The best beds ever! We are very particular about hotels and I rate this one right up there.
