A modern, clean hotel. The suite we stayed in was large enough to host a bridal party comfortably as we got ready for a wedding, with lots of places to sit and hang out. It's nice and central so really easy to walk to downtown restaurants and the arena.

Great location, right downtown. Covered, secure parking. The building is well decorated. Room had a wonderful view, and a great bed. And a Japanese toilet seat. Have yet to try the restaurant, but the menu looks good.

My family and I stayed here while attending a concert at Roger's Place. It is walking distance to Roger's Place, as well as to some good restaurants (including the family-friendly Old Spaghetti Factory). It is a very nice hotel and appeared to be recently renovated. We stayed there with our kids and it felt like a fairly safe location. When we told them it was our kids very first hotel experience they upgraded us to a room on a higher floor which my kids thought was amazing. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and steam room as well. But it is right across the street from an exotic dance club. Which is kind of interesting, depending I what you are in to.

Really nice modern hotel. Love the king beds. That said, the water pressure was abysmal, and the Wi-Fi even more so. Very close to being an amazing experience, but missed some of the basics.

The hotel was nice. Staff were friendly. Rooms were renovated and nicely equipped. Breakfast was enjoyable. Would stay again.

Attended a business meeting at Coast Edmonton Plaza. The lobby was very nice looking. The meeting room itself was clean and had a great view. The staff was also very nice and respectful. The only issue we had was that there were some floaties in the provided pitchers of water, so I had to buy my own water.

Beautiful downtown location with easy access to neighboring shopping centres. For example, a maximum fifteen minute commute is all that is needed to reach the West Edmonton Mall. Furthermore, the rooms are nicely updated with gorgeous modern details. (Not to mention quick, efficient service. )

Always a good stay. Good location downtown. Rooms are clean. Staff is nice and we have received room upgrades for free when available. My only gripe is paying for parking. $20.00 a night adds up. Overall nice place.

For $16 I expected the food to taste better than a free continental breakfast. I was sadly disappointed… Also for taking out a mandatory 15% gratuity is one thing… Not telling you before you grab your plate… Not putting it on the bill… Only telling you about it after you ask why you didn't get proper change back… That's called theft! I won't be coming back… Food wasn't terrible… But not $16 worth… Maybe $7

Fast and friendly service, clean and very nice King bed room with toilet water spray and dryer. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and gave us a compliment cake and room service is on time for bfast. My only thing is the pool is cold so we didn't really enjoy it especially with a 6 months baby. We had to get out of the pool after a minute because we are all shaking and we went jacuzzi instead. But overall it's a very good experience.

Poor service, room was ok but the cleaners did a very poor job while we were there… coffee cups in the hallway from the room beside us all weekend totaled 8 by the time we left. Front desk was little to no help with anything much more than calling a cab. For a nice hotel… I was very far from impressed.

Nice rooms. Service is good. Clean. Booked online. 1 comfort room with 2 queen beds. Beds may have been doubles. Really close to pubs. 5min?, cab ride to Rogers place. Would stay with them again.

Excellent staff, very professional with conscientious service. Older hotel but recently renovated with very clean and comfortable rooms. Better than average hotel gym. Restaurant is not great, but there are plenty of good food options within walking distance. Location is great if you have business in the area.

So this establishment was sp great they gave us a room at like 4 in the am and we got a late checkout at 11 am which was super cool! Plus its one of the very few hotels in Edmonton with heated toilet seats and bidets. Which as a first time bidet user I was blown away with how this one small feature could change someones mind forever. 5/5 bidays of the week I would stay here just for the extras! ;^)

Rooms are pretty quiet most nights, though when a hockey game or concert is going on at Rogers Place it can get noisy. Parking is expensive at $20 a day and they pre-authorize a large amount of your credit card if you are staying for a number of days. I'm also not sure what is going on with the water pipes in the building but they can produce a very loud juddering sound which is a little disconcerting.

Convenient location. Clean room. Good food. Great customer service. Looking forward to returning.

The staff is fantastic and respond immediately to help. My room is comfortable and the latest renovations make it very beautiful. Love how they go the extra mile! A must stay for work or pleasure!

There is adequate parking, check in was smooth, clean modern rooms, toilets are upgraded with warm/cool seats and bidet options, good appies in the restaurant, and easy check out. Would stay here again. Located within walking distance of Rogers Place.

Perfectly centered for all the things I wanted to. Walking distance to Rogers Place, small ride to Commonwealth Stadium & 10 min ride to West Edmonton Mall. Clean & comfy room. Ryan (The shuttle driver) was a very nice guy & so helpful. Highly recommend.

Very clean room, comfy and modern beds and televisions. Good Wi-Fi (enough for Netflix). Quiet rooms, you can't hear much door slamming or elevator noise or anything, which is nice. They have upgraded the bathrooms since I last visited and they are very nice. Front desk is always courteous and helpful. Buffet style breakfast in the hotel restaurant is decent although the coffee is not the best. Close to lots of downtown locations which makes it a convenient place to stay.

Good location close to arena, they have a brand new dinner lounge which is great to eat at before the game. Walking distance to the arena, $12 early bird parking is available. Wish there was more parking and heated but for the price downtown it's great specially since it has parking cameras.

I found the staff especially helpful here. Especially Ryan at guest services. He got me extra tea bags thst really made my stay better. The buffet in the morning was fantastic and the room was great. Definitely would come back.

I read a review about weird toilets. No kidding. If I had a toilet like this at home I would never leave. Any woman would love that throne. Clean beds. Great location if you are going to a Oilers game. 10 minute walk and 5 minute ride. Free shuttle to game 1 hour before. For the price you CAN NOT go wrong. To make it better there is a gentleman club ACROSS the street. Great venue and worth the money.

The room was nice, plain, and clean and had a cute little origami bird on the bed as a surprise. They provided a hair dryer and an iron/ironing board and a nicely stocked bathroom. There's a fridge as well. My only complaint with the place is the bar. I found a fly in my drink. :/ The pool is great.

Comfy room with a well thought out design. Minimal noise at night (I felt like I heard a laundry sound throughout the night) but otherwise it clean, comfy, and modern. I'd love to stay again!

Its a great place situated in downtown. Very spacious, reasonable price and nice decorated hotel. Friendly reception, free parking, breakfast not included. The hotel is next to Roger sport centre, you can just walk 5 minutes there. However, the booking arrangement is bad. We booked 2 double rooms, they arranged us to 2 different floors, one is on the 1st n the other is 14th. Luckily in the end we could changed to the same floor.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was good and close to Rogers Arena and lots of restaurants near by. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

The hotel has greatly improved over the last decade. Super comfortable beds and a crazy comfortable Toto toilet I wish I had at home. The breakfast buffet was very good as well. I'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for one night for a concert. Check in was very fast and easy, and so was checkout. The front desk was friendly and helpful, they even helped with giving directions to the concert location. Our room was clean and properly stocked, and the bed was comfortable. I'll stay there again.

The room and hotel were beautiful and clean. The toilet was a fan favorite with it's heating and bidet function. I did not like the shampoo and conditioner so much. The bed was comfy and clean. Hotel staff were great.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights to attend a concert and visit friends. Firstly, the location is great; it's located downtown a few blocks from the new Rogers Place. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from nearby as well. The hotel is recently renovated and shows very well for the most part. The main lobby is clean and modern. We didn't use the bar but the restaurant, while small, has a good menu. For whatever reason however, the lobby bathroom was not renovated with the rest so it's a little strange to walk in to it from a brand new lobby. The staff were very friendly the whole time, from checkin to the cleaning and wait staff. We asked about nearby restaurants the first night and the gentleman at the desk was quick to give us several suggestions within walking distance. The room was well made, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathroom has a built in bidet which was interesting but a nice touch. Overall a very good stay. My only issues were the lobby bathroom not being renovated and the pool was on the small side.

Rooms were clean and well kept. It seems like it is currently being renovated so there was some slight inconveniences. Friends of ours have stayed overnight at this hotel a few times and enjoyed it. Good location very close to the Rogers Place arena.

There are no microwave, or a place for Cook, the bathroom is small, and the sink is out of the bathroom. There is a swimming pool but it is not large, only 3m to 4m deep. There are no good restaurants in close of hotel.

Loved the room upgrade. Great staff, fast and efficient! Store downstairs is nice too, and lemon water in lobby was a nice touch while I waited for my car service after checking out.

I prefer to stay here when I come to Edmonton. It's convenient to most places I wish to go to in the downtown area. The rooms are nice with secure Wi-Fi with good download speeds. The prices are reasonable and the service is good.

The rooms were well designed, beds were comfortable to sleep on, a microwave, a tv, and even Wi-Fi was avaliable. Also, great service. One thing that would make it more enjoyable was if their was a free breakfast. Overall it was a great stay.

I had a good experience in staying in one of the rooms on the 9th floor. The bed was comfy and I had a nice view from my window. The only thing I didn't like was that my toilet didn't have a strong pressure, and I had to flush 2 or 3 times everytime I went. I asked them to fix it, but the plumber came with only a plunger, thinking he fixed it. I would stay here again when I visit Edmonton again.

The Coast is downtown, a bit too close to the greyhound station and dive bars to be upper class. The hotel lobby was sleek and clean. Friendly service at the hotel restaurant, a decent array of buffet options with a good variety. I was able to pick out a gluten free, vegan breakfast without trouble, though there wasn't much for veggies. Not bad for a $15 buffet.

Food was great. Decent sized beds, very clean room. Nice location, walking distance from most things. Very nice staff.

The hotel rooms themselves were great (nice beds, bathroom, etc), the staff are friendly, and the price is usually pretty decent compared to other hotels!

I would give it 5 stars but the pool area was not great… that being said it was closed for half our stay because they are going to renovate it I believe. The Coast hotel is clean and comfortable. The location is good.

Decent place to stay for the price. My only complaint was the hot water ran out during a shower (that's never happened to me at a hotel before. ) And although it didn't bother me it should be noted there is a strip club across the street (I actually enjoyed people watching the customers that went in and out from the comfort of my room. ) Other than that really friendly front staff, the building is kept clean and I enjoyed the lounge/bar area downstairs as a place to grab a quick drink to unwind at the end of my day. The location was very convenient.

First night, quite good. Temperature is fully adjustable so I was able to cool my room down quickly as needed. Front desk staff were pleasant and I was greeted by 3 separate hotel staff on my way out this morning. Good thing for renovations, I worry about what it might have looked like before renos. Not a matrimonial choice… Had a wedding in the immediate area, and in spite of ending at 1 am as opposed to the planned 4am, I still got chewed out by ajoining suites for arriving to my suite at all! Probably for the best that my husband and I hadn't planned on consumating our marriage that night as our poor neighbour probably would have lost her mind… Choose a hotel that books in like minded blocks rather than randomly instead.

I had the worst and most unpleasant experience when I stayed in the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel. In the second day of my stay, after the housekeeper "cleaned" my room, I found a bag of my valuable clothes was missing. I had an important meeting in the next day but a jacket I needed to wear was unfortunately in that missing bag. I called the front desk right away and a lady there told me the housekeeper may mistakenly took the bag and throwed it away like garbages. She also told me that the housekeeping manager and the housekeeper herself will discuss it with me in the next morning at 9. Well, as you can guess, nobody showed up and wanted to explain to me what was going on in the next morning. At 10 am, only after I strongly insisted I finally had the pleasure to talk to the housekeeping manager. Again, as you can guess, the manager simply denied the fact. She checked my room herself and could not find the bag either. Nobody came in my room except myself and the housekeeper in that day so my bag of clothes just magically disappeared? A front desk manager helped me to report this incident to the police but I really doubted whether this would help. I waited endlessly in the lobby but the police did not come. I checked out at noon, as I had to rush to buy myself some new clothes for my meeting in the afternoon.

Great service, really great room with a comfy bed. Friendly staff. My only complaint is needing to wait while I was checking out for them to do a room inspection so that they could return my damage deposit. Damage deposit, you ask? Yes, I had to put a damage deposit down on my room (it was $200) in the event that I somehow ruined something in the hotel. I guess it's a deterrent for people who steal lamps.

Old but OK. They are renovating it now. Park across the street for $5 overnight or pay $20 for hotel parking inside. There is also limited street parking.

I am here now having lunch and it is very good. I only stayed one night but the hotel was clean and nice and the service is wonderful. I asked for a late check out and they were fine with that at no extra charge! I would come and stay here again.

Stayed here a couple years back and it was overall a good experience. The room was very nice and clean. My only complaint was the paid parking.

We have never been to Cost hotel our first time and will be our last time this was the worst hotel I have ever been to. First the customer serves of the hotel is awful the manager of the hotel I think his name was Ken I called to complained about the services he raised his voice and hung up the phone on me never in my 37 years ever experience something like that. I called the head office and they said they will get the General Manger of that hotel to call me and still waiting it has been 2 days. Anybody that is thinking of going there you should really think about it and don’t waste your money on a hotel like that is not worth it they should hire people that have customer service back ground and not anybody of the streets we pay to stay there is not for free.

The Coast Hotel used to have the best reputation but we must have waited too long and missed the good times because I would NOT recommend it to anyone visiting this city. What a COLOSSAL waste of the best part of $400. It was so ridiculous, to the point of laugh-ability, if they hadn’t taken my husbands hard earned money and had been rude and unhelpful throughout the whole experience. I had went through the web site and avoided the “non smoking” rooms and found the one jacuzzi room left that held no such disclaimer. I left our credit card number and booked it for the weekend after Valentine's Day, as my husband had to work throughout the whole of that week. Not only did it cost us $290. For the room, (which as it turns out, that from 3pm till 12:30pm is 20.5 hours @ $14.14 an hour), but they had the audacity to charge us an additional $16. For a safe underground parking space for our vehicle. Once we got up to our room, we went through it with excitement but were totally let down after one minute. The so called “premium room ” had an approx. 3’x3’ shower stall, that flooded out to the living room carpet when used, and had the cheapest of shower heads that they could find. The cheap slatted closet doors, were used for the approx. 3’x4’ toilet room and the water tank closet, which was off its tracks and gouging the ceiling. The four posters on the three pillow bed, were rickety, unstable and very unimpressive.
