A weekend stay here is nothing short of magical. Mountain view rooms with a fireplace and balcony to enjoy the mountains, a cozy lounge with a wood burning fireplace, no buildings in the views. Friendly staff, clean and quiet. There are no words to describe how amazing the restaurant is. Every moment there is magical and every bite and every sip more delicious than the last. Such a hidden gem.

Excellent restaurant onsite for breakfast and dinner. Good walking/hiking trails on property and nearby. ”Cozy Lodge and nice staffmember, we highly recommended that place.

From our check in experience. To the staff we encountered during our stay, five stars is not enough to write for this place. A gem nestled in the Canadian Rockies. Shaun the Operations Manager and his staff have set the bar high here. With views to inspire, a romantic getaway or just a weekend away. Overlander is someplace we will return to time and again.

You won’t find a better view of the mountains if you stay on the lodge side over looking the restaurant deck. I was a little disappointed in the room itself decor and amenities wise in comparison to the overall hotel but it was worth the price compared to other accommodations by jasper.
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating! Definitely one of the top places I have stayed!

Stayed here for one night only. There was a mix up with bookings and a late arrival but Tim the GM was extremely helpful! Beautiful place that’s pet friendly. Would love to stay at the 3 bedroom chalet when we return.

Staff all very friendly and the food at the restaurant was fantastic for both breakfast and dinner yummy.

Over the weekend a friend and I took our kids to the Overlander Mountain Lodge. I can honestly say I received the best customer service I’ve ever had. Thank you Tim & Delila for being so amazing! We will DEFINITELY be back!

We loved the views in the restaurant, the friendly staff and the cozy rooms with no TVs. A true mountain experience!

Overlander Mountain Lodge was overall an okay stay. The lodges were nice but it was strange to not have TV in the room and there were some glaring craftsmanship issues with the suite's wooden pieces. The suite was very hot and made it quite uncomfortable. Thin walls also meant hearing a lot of noise from adjoining suites. Not being familiar with Jasper it was surprising to see that we were actually 30 minutes from the park itself. The restauarant on site had great dinner but breakfast was a disappointment. Every staff member we dealt with was absolutely fantastic though and even with poor weather the views were great. Not sure id recommend the lodge for the price however, you're almost at downtown Hinton that has far better prices.

Beautiful views, room a little small but nice. Food and service were phenomenal. Although I would add that it is a little on the expensive side. It was once in a lifetime treat for us. So probably won’t be going back due to the expense.

This is such a beautiful hidden gem too. Just off the highway and about 2 minutes from the Park gates, you have these beautiful cabins you wish you could stay in forever. Very well kept grounds and some nice trails, gorgeous horses and honey bees. This is a quiet place ideal to recover from stress and busy lives.

We stayed in the Miette rooms. The room was clean but had very thin walls, but the views were amazing. No mini fridge, which was a bit of a bummer. Location is decent, 40 minutes from Jasper, 20 minutes from Hinton. Overall, I would stay there again.

The staff are great and friendly! And food is awesome! They all get 5 STARS! The idea of this place is amazing. The view, the feel… the rustic charm. BUT… it’s getting run down. Many lights/outlets don’t work. Was a lil on the dirty side. My son found a claw nail from a cat or very small dog in his bed of a Non-pet-friendly Chalet. The registers in the bathrooms were all dirty with previous guests hair, etc. Very expensive for what you actually get so that was very Disappointing.

We stayed in a mountain view room, which was cosy and had an excellent, panoramic view. It, however, didn't have any sound isolation, so we heard every little noise from every other suite in the cabin. Lots of stomping and slamming, well into the night. Otherwise it was a fine place to stay. We didn't dine or have any drinks at the lodge, so I can't comment on that. Service was good overall, and the suite was clean upon arrival.

We booked on May 22 for the Canada day weekend June 29-July1. We received an email on June 27 letting us know that we would be unable to use their dining facility as they had booked a large group booking. As I had made mention at the time of booking that we were looking forward to enjoying their restaurant no mention of a reservation was required. Their corporate booking manager offered me no solutions for this event, and I was told this was unfortunate. If it were not 48 hours before the long weekend I would attempt to find another hotel but everyone is fully booked and as such I will now be forced to drive over an hour round trip for dinner. I would hope someone reads these reviews and a solution will be offered when we arrive. **** in regards to your response; the solutions you are saying were offered were all based off of suggestions that I made. We will take you up on your offer of the dinner menu being offered on your award winning patio. As your response also does not indicate if I will be required to make a reservation for dining on the patio. Could you please make said reservation. I will update my review upon the service we receive at your hotel, but we are certainly not off to a quality start. **** final thoughts: Hotel was booked for a wedding, so even though we commented on eating at time of the hotel reservation I doubt they would have not booked an entire wedding party for one reservation.

We loved our stay! Spent the night in one of the cabins. Awesome! The meal we had in the restaurant was outstanding as was the wait staff. Brett in particular was extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety.

Nice clean hotel with beautiful views, near the main highway so you hear traffic all the time. The staff are super friendly, including the restaurant staff. I recommend this place.

The information pack in the hotel mentions that the Overlander was built in the 1960s and it still maintains that vibe. That's not a criticism. Although there is a feeling of a different time, it just feels right. The situation is stunning, the staff were amazingly friendly and the breakfast was huge for the price. I rented a mountain view room and watched a spectacular sunset from the balcony. There's no telephone or TV in the rooms, but you won't need them. Enjoy the solitude and the peace and check out the amazing HD panorama from the window.

Super friendly and helpful staff, clean and affordable; pet friendly means they actually have thought about it, not just allow animals. No TVs which is odd, but perfect at the same time!

Small, noisy and poorly constructed hotel rooms. No TV, which makes little sense because nowadays everyone streams TV off their device. Room is intended to sleep 4 but has a pull out couch that is uncomfortable and inadequate. Overall not a great experience. The restaurant was very good.

My favourite place in the Jasper area, by far. Beautiful property, cozy chalet. Kind and prompt customer service. We are always made feel like welcome guests. The best part of the experience is the food, especially when they do wine pairings. I've eaten all over the world and the dinner I had at the Overlander was one of the best I have ever had.

Went there for a family member's wedding and it could not have been better. All the staff were very friendly and made sure that everything was perfect. When dinner came along the multiple courses we were served were all fantastic and delicious in their own way. Overall made for a very successful experience!

Rented one of their cabins with the porch. Cabin was a little dated however it was very clean and bed was comfortable. Didn't sit out on the porch much as the lodge sits next to the highway and there is quite a bit of road noise; especially from the trucks. The view from the porch is very good. Just the noise takes away from the serenity. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was excellent and they have some unique dishes (Alberta wild boar, etc. ). It was reasonably priced too. The employees of the lodge were pleasant and friendly.

The restaurant was incredible. My family and I had dinner. They had an incredible selection of wine and we all ordered different plates and every plate was delicious. Best Arctic Char ive ever had. The presentation was perfect. The room was too hot with few options to fix the problem. A. C would be a great investment.

Fantastic, scenic mountain views from our cabin. Amazingly good restaurant, a tad pricy but worth it. Breakfast buffet was great too. Staff was friendly and attentive. We had a small chalet and a cabin for a group of nine and it was mostly comfortable. The rest of the cabins and chalets on-site looked great from the outside. The only cons are that it is a bit of a drive from Jasper (Hinton is only 10-15 minutes away though, for your grocery or other needs). Also, Wi-Fi was spotty in our cabin but great in the main Lodge, if that's important to you. Overall a great experience, and I hope to return frequently.

Just outside of Jasper National Park about 30 minutes drive from Jasper town. Lodges are very nice and homely and well equipped. Stunning views of the rockies.

Beautiful style property situated in a magnificent location just outside of Jasper National Park. Friendly atmosphere with great restaurant not cheap but adequate for the price level. Wi-Fi is available in some rooms.

Great food, nice lodge (although the many stairs were not 2 year old friendly). The main reason for the average review is that there is no Wi-Fi in the lodges, you have to sit in the bar to get any signal (where I am sat right now).

My husband, dog and I stayed here for Easter. I would definitely recommend this Lodge! Reading some of the negative reviews below — if you are coming to Jasper to watch TV and use your cell phone, then I suggest going somewhere else. We were GLAD the room had no TV, and cell service was limited. Gave us a chance to get away from technology! We did have Wi-Fi in our room, with no troubles connecting. Sam and the other young lady at the front desk were so pleasant and helpful! Did not eat at the restaurant as we found it $$, but it looked nice! Rooms are nice and somewhat modern, not old or worn down looking at all. Bed was comfy! We stayed in one of the kitchenettes (decent price) — met some nice neighbors! It is a 35 min drive into Jasper, but again we were not coming to visit the town, just enjoy the scenery and do some hiking. We drove into town for super, and back. Nice drive! Would definitely return again!

Honestly, this hotel is truly no more than 3 stars. The rooms show their age but are otherwise "ok", and the service was "ok". Stay away from the restaurant at all costs, bring your own food, or drive to Hinton/Jasper to eat as the prices are WAY TOO MUCH for the "ok" taste/quality you receive. Seriously, a "cold breakfast buffet" of fruit, cereal, and toast (that you make yourself) is $12.95 per person. The restaurant was our biggest complaint but second to that was the road noise coming off the highway. The sound of the vehicles and semi trucks reverberate off the mountains spoiling any peace and quiet this place would have to offer. The view is spectacular, but you'd be hard pressed to find a view in Jasper that wasn't.

Fantastic place to stay. Since we have kids we got a cabin. Everyone enjoyed it and the breakfast was awesome! Definitely recommend!

Had no hot water one morning, around 8am. Also one lamp did not work in the room. Staff very nice and friendly though.

A hidden treasure while searching for accommodations around Jasper. The young lady working reception was exceptionally friendly! The restaurant had great food even though it was a bit pricey. I loved the lodge-like room with a balcony facing the mountains. Price for the one room was decent considering the location and view. I'd return again if I was passing through!

We were disappointed with our stay there. We didnt realize that we would have to drive 45 minutes from jasper (the community) to spend the night. Our room was clean but adequate is the best description. No view whatsoever from our room — only a dirt drive and parked vehicles. We were surprised that there was no phone, no TV and could not connect to Wi-Fi in our room. Perhaps we didnt read the advertising closely enough, but for what we spent we expected better. The food in the dining room was excellent, but very expensive and portions were small. We will not return.

Cute rooms with a perfect view from the main building. Super friendly staff and an one of the best restaurant we've ever ate at. The food and the wine were exceptional good! Not to mention the view from the restaurant. We will definitely come back…!
