We (two adults) were guests with our two dogs. A very nice hotel. The room was very spacious, the staff very friendly and accommodating. For breakfast there was a great selection of dishes.

Avoid the Grand Cafe! The location is nice, but some of the employees are running a scam obviously. They put items on the bill you didn't order or increase the quantity (like 3 scoops of ice cream instead of two, and you can't prove the contrary unless you make a photo immediately when the order comes). A very, very unpleasant experience.

I was really looking forward to staying here but my room is so dark and it's hard to see out of the window. I asked for a brighter room but perhaps they are all like this because the guy at the desk said no I couldn't change. I wish I was staying somewhere else.

Lovely hotel. Room was spacious, turn down service, chocolates on the pillow. Everyone was helpful, efficient, and polite. Wake up call was delivered in person. Only regret is we didn't stay longer.

A wonderful luxury hotel in Sofia. Lots of dark mahogany wood everywhere, huge rooms, nicely appointed. The bathroom is lined with green marble, with a separate shower and bath. Showers in hotels are important thing to me, and this was one of the better ones. Bed comfort was OK but not the best. Excellent value for money though.

Good service, there is a beauty salon. Manicure, pedicure, hairdresser, makias. And other services. It's great.

I went to an evening dinner organised by the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency at this hotel. The food was excellent and well served in pleasant surroundings. The next day I had dinner in the bar. The service was fast and then food good. Nice to sit outside by the park.

A 5 stars hotel which is truly 5 stars worth. Excellent service as well as very nice and helpful staff. Furthermore, the location strictly in the city centre allows you to enjoy all the things that Sofia's downtown has to offer. There are however 2 points which brought me to rate this hotel only with 4 Google stars: — pricing — with almost 200 euro a night it's really overpriced (that's an objective opinion) — space — this one is very subjective. In my humble opinion, the rooms are simpy… too big. I don't know, maybe I'm not used to stay in such large hotel rooms but they are simply so big that some people would be envy not having their apartments of this size. Making it a bit smaller (but still big enough to keep 5 stars grading) would maybe lead to lower price without compromising the comfort. Anyway, this hotel is worth visiting.

Very nice 5 stars luxurious hotel stratigically located in the city center of Sofia. Large rooms and bathrooms, very good amenities inside. Close to many facilities and attractions within a walking distance. Service was great and the staff really helpful. We enjoyed our stay in July 2013.

Come in. It's downtown. With all the consequences in terms of prices. Five minutes on foot to the presidential palace. Inside is beautiful, comfortable. But it's better to eat somewhere else.

The reception did not always speak fluent English. Not always polite, especially women who did not even mention a smile to pay them. Breakfast was good I stayed 2 weeks x work and the bed change made only 2 times. For a 4 star hotel It is really on the edge. Housekeeping done very late. At 2 in the Pom, when I came back from work. Very nice aesthetically, but not up to the management and staff.

Pros — quality service/ polite and friendly staff, free indoor parking, impressive water debit in bathroom. Cons — heating is through air-conditioning so it is noisier and colder (than radiators). The pillows were too high for my liking.

Five star luxury hotel in the heart of Sofia. Elegantly decorated spacious rooms, large bathrooms, impeccably cleaned and maintained property. The location is impossible to beat — at the entrance of the central city garden, accross the National Theatre, steps away from literally all major sights. Definitely recommended!

I liked the hotel. It fully corresponds to the mentality of the Soviet man :).
The trip was not easy and the rest in the room, which was decorated in the style of "Soviet VIP Empire", brought a lot of positive emotions. There were also funny moments:
1. It turned out that the hotel has a kind of compliment — the wish of a good night. In my case, it looked like this: I'm lying in a hot tub "star", dozing, suddenly come two aunts, say "Oi" and run away. I woke up, sleep — in no eye. And the bed is spread out, there is a postcard and chocolate. Well done brother, keep it that way!
2. The TV was able to turn on only thanks to the presence of an AK port in the Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 3. We managed to find a suitable remote in the database and look at something :).
What pleases — a cool hotel with cool elements of domestic struggle, from which you came out the winner, got a chocolate bar and deserved a dream.

A perfect combination Of polished and friendly, The Grand Hotel has a full range of amenities with an always available personal touch for any assistance you may need. The location offers easy access to historic sites of interest as well as cuisine of any type and price range. The interior design is warmly elegant with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Room service is prompt And The menu is varied and delicious. Quietly elegant surroundings with no real need to leave the hotel … But plenty to do if you so choose.

Very large rooms. The breakfast buffet was fine. The staff very friendly and helpful. Suitcases — and valet service. The hotel is also very quiet. Hotel bar looks very nice and is open 24h. Gladly again.

This is a wonderful hotel, European class, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms, great bar, close to everything in Sofia, highly recommend.

Very bad reception of the groups. You will be changed the price of the rooms if you do not take all the services at home. The coffee break service is very limited, and the technicians for the lectures are not competent.

Loved it. We got upgraded to the 'executive suite. ' The room was significantly bigger than large hotel rooms, and looked really nice. Only problem is, if you're noise sensitive, you'll hear (mildly) the music coming from the restaurant in front of the hotel. When l visit again, I'll ask for a room on the top/back of the building. Other than that it is a great experience. Breakfast is fine. Just make sure you ask the waiters to make coffee for you (avoid the terrible coffee you get on the buffet 's coffee machine).

Experiencing the unusual, the quirky, the outright absurd is what travelling is all about. In this case it was over embellishment. The hotel was huge, with it's own casino on site, a gym, a pool and many levels of rooms. The staff were welcoming, helpful and very Bulgarian i. E. Don't expect a sycophant:) I had a comfortable stay, loved the facilities.

Hotel dosed with a very sufficient security staff placed in the center near all the places of cultural interest and shopping rooms well furnished and spacious only a little internet often the signal was weak and sadly lacking the Italian cuisine but and Just so gifted even of some person who chews a little Italian. It is definitely a 5-star hotel, located in the central area of Sofia and only a few metres from the most important places and shopping streets. Spacious rooms, excellent service (maids also tidy up the rooms for the night), qualified staff. Although the elevators are a bit slow, every day a mat reminds you of the day of the week by welcoming you:) I found only small ' flaws ': The breakfast is good but not excellent (few things and that do not promote the typicality of local productions), so the toilet service with various products. There are the ' courtesy ' vials with body moisturizers as they are everywhere in any other place in the world and not for example the pink creams, soaps, oils that are produced in Bulgaria. A hotel so I think that, first of all, it has to give a hand to local productions and to enhance them as they deserve, so to know and appreciate.

It's central, great value, 70/75 € the double room about, avoid the extra (too expensive) type breakfast €19 pers or airport transfer — Hotel €30 Pers, by taxi you pay about €7 with taxi company OK Tel: 973.21.21 (12/13 Lev).

Beautiful. We stay in Ina Junior suite. Everything very nice, very spacious and spotless.

The hotel was probably grand at some point in the past. Now it's simply tired. Overall, the value-for-money is poor. There are newer, nicer hotels within walking distance that don't suffer from the GSH shortcomings. My most recent room had very thin walls — I heard normal conversations and alarm clocks from the room next door. The duvet was not the correct size for the bed. Light in the room and bathroom is dim despite all being on. Breakfast is astonishingly expensive, even for a business hotel. I was forced to book there because my preferred hotels were full. It's not 'horrible', but it would never be my first or second choice in Sofia.

Honestly, one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in! Our room was really dark, no windows to open and even though it's no smoking the room smelled like an ashtray. We arrived late and ordered room service, poor poor standard. Great location, but that is all!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The location in the heart of the city, the 60 square well furnished rooms and mostly the very kind staff make you feel very comfortable. I would give it 7 stars if it was possible.
