Very overpriced prices, but unfortunately you don't get fed up (e. G. Very economical main course portion baked porcini mushrooms for 21, 90 euros without salad) — the dishes taste basically, but the price-performance ratio does not fit at all.

It could actually be quite nice if there weren't hotel operators (sadly even the owner family) who might be better off in another profession.
We check in at 23.00 and we are told that there is no parking space. In the public car park opposite the hotel, penalty notices will be distributed from 09.00. So on the first day, it's time to set an alarm clock and re-park the car in time. We only learn shortly before departure that this could be solved in a different way.
On the second morning we are awakened at 08.00 by a leaf blower with whom the breakfast terrace in front of the entrance is "turned". When we approach the "chief" at the reception and ask if there is no broom in the house, she thinks it might be better to stay in another hotel if you don't want to be woken up like that.

We will be happy to follow this recommendation on your next stay.

Although housed in a new room (or perhaps because of it), the disappointment couldn't be greater.

The attached pictures say some but not everything.

In the cheapest renovated rooms you will find:

broken lighting,
torn curtains,
Paintings that are a horror,
Plastic parts in the bathroom made of modern "yellowed yellow".

We draw the reception's attention to the shortcomings. This is not of interest to anyone, nor will the deficiencies be rectified.

Food, Prices and Staff very attentive and straight. Rarely experienced such a coherent Overall Picture on a Visit.

The rooms are no longer contemporary and "worn out. " Clichéd facilities, which are no longer used in the countryside for a nous ("kitsch). The cheap materials were used in the bathroom, for example. Breakfast is simply meagre and an imposition on the choice. The waitress positions one to sit too completely foreign people. This can only be prevented if one vehemently contradicts it. Otherwise not particularly friendly. A single person at breakfast who roasts warm and forms a long snake accordingly. At times of check-out, when a long queue naturally forms (what a surprise! ) only 1 hotel person does this. Everyone gets the identity of the Auzuchekenden even then. The floor from the entrance to the reception is so slippery that if you are sure you don't have to be extremely careful. Mat doesn't exist, though. In my opinion, the hotel does not correspond to 4 stars, and the hotel has stopped in the late 1980s. Very good alternatives nearby are available and has already been mentioned here. I'm not going to go there anymore.

Good restaurant, local, traditional kitchen.

The Post office in Traunkirchen, always has a small very innovative menu. Cooking is responsible regionally, never leaving the house without "aha"! Highly recommended. At weekends is always to think of reservation. Yummy, yummy, you can't complain:-)

Bad experience here. Unclean rooms and bugs in the bathroom. Never come back.

We were a family of nine + two puppies there for dinner. The food, the waiting time was fantastic, unfortunately a bit long. The service was very friendly and helpful, our dogs were, even without the Demands of a bowl with water. The Restaurant is also gorgeous, to recommend, on the Whole, so very much.

The service was very unfriendly and was able to take our order, only in some cases, other conditions, however, the same food a little later.

We went 2 people for dinner in the Restaurant. The card was to read "the catch of the day fish". The waiter recommend us, it is and stresses that it is fresh fish from the lake. We order 2 times. The fish has tasted very old and bad. We complained and the waiter has admitted to it, that maybe the fish were a few days in the kitchen. He asks us, other fish, and fresher. I will order it again and although this time fresh, was not particularly good. As we are tourists and foreigners, have tried to assess the old goods: it's really a joke.

Extremely unfriendly long-term old waitress. The price performance ratio of the Breakfast is just bad. The rooms are also shabby. Who churches in Traun a good Breakfast or wants to sleep I recommend the apartment hotel to the train station, Traunkirchen with a beautiful view. There surf will remain at the end of day guests the only 1 night super spoiled.

Arrived in pouring rain to this comfortable hotel near the waterfront and local sights. Nice room and food.
Had planned taking a cruise to Gmunden the following day but despite the schedule posted the boat did not appear so took the bus.
Would be a good area for hiking in better weather.

I was having dinner at their terrace. In my opinion the prices are very high, the average price for a main dish was 20-25 € and the waitresses were quite unfriendly. The portions are ok though.

Today, with a group of 8 people in the garden — — lousy unfriendly service — not interested in us to take care of. Have God to be eaten, thanks to nothing. Anyway, you had the impression of a 1/4-filled garden to be completely overwhelmed. The tables we have set ourselves together yourself and pay only after request at the Hotel. I am ashamed to have this in my German guests in the course of Sorry seems.

Lovely hotel on a lovely location.

Dining hall and food are very good. Rooms look old, but with new showers etc. Forgot my toothbrush and was assured I would be given one later on by the time I was told they did not have any anymore all shops were closed.

Great traditionals austrian food that you don't find anymore in other restaurants.

Be sure to reserve!. But the wait was worth it. Delicious home-cooked meals and friendly service combined with the pleasant modern environment deserve praise.

A couple of friends and me came to Symposion Hotel Post with the intention to stay one night only, since we were on a 'road trip' in Austria. One night became four and although we are all younger than 30, we found things to do to keep us busy. Not at least, there is wonderful nature in the vicinity to discover. The crew at Hotel Post treated us as their own family and although I am a frequent traveler, I have never experienced such a lovely atmosphere and such a wonderful hospitality in a hotel, not even on luxury — and expensive hotels. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who considers a stay in Traunkirchen.

A very good, well run hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel met all my expectations of a 4-star operation. Very select food and wine list focusing on regional products. I had a very nice stay and come back happy.
