Aweful hotel room, uncomfortable beds, bad restaurant service.

It's a nice hotel in a great location with lovely staff but would not advice staying here if a business traveler. Had a river facing room on a mid week night with a party boat parked up outside banging out music and people shouting until late. Got no sleep and had to get up early. Until the hotel sorts this out, unless you like sleeping next to a nightclub don't bother.

Friendly staff, we just had some drinks so can't comment on their food. Atmosphere was good and the view on the Donau was nice. All in all a good experience.

It was below average hotel which I would not recommend to people although it has a great location near the river.

Very nice hotel with great views in the upper rooms. Staff exemplary nice and courteous. Location is great, you can easily reach a lot on foot. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Can recommend the hotel to anyone with a clear conscience.

Functional and reasonably pleasant. Rooms are small. Ours had a wonderful view over the danube. Waiters slow… Very slow. Breakfast is probably fine but there was such a crush we just got the basics and left.

The "Superior" floors are on par for the better European hotels. While it is nothing spectacular and definitely not an American hotel, the stay has been pleasant. Positives include the cleanliness and the included breakfast buffet. Negatives include the lack of air conditioning and the bed being somewhat uncomfortable (hardish and old-school coils). The positives so far greatly outweigh the negatives!

Nice spacious suites. Friendly staff. Basic breakfast. Really good location for final stop by on Danube cycle tour although a bit of a distance to walk to the main Vienna attractions.

Travelers Watch out! The view to the Danube alone is worth gold! Recommend the Premium rooms on the upper floors towards the Danube. Don't think long, don't look in vain for cheaper rooms and give yourself the view! You will be rewarded! Rooms clean and friendly staff. Always!

The location is great-on the bank of the Danube! The rest is the hotel on its four.

Sweating in style next to the Danube river… Solid choice for a business or leisure stay in Linz, but doesn’t feel quite like a 4* hotel. Great location on the banks of the Danube river (views! ) close to major museums and the old town. Reasonably stylish and clean rooms. Plentiful breakfast buffet. On the downside: no AC in the rooms. Water temperature in my shower suddenly went from warm to extremely hot and back to warm on multiple occasions. No coffee making facilities or irons in standard rooms. Staff, though generally friendly, could use some training: experienced bar staff commandeered younger employees in a harsh, condescending tone in front of customers. Receptionist didn’t ask about my stay during check-out. A final word of caution: the room service surcharge is EUR6.90, even for a cheese toast! Also if said cheese toast takes 45 minutes to arrive on a busy day. Despite these drawbacks, I might return to the Arcotel Nike for the views and location.

Price not cheap. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room clean but kept rather compact. Windows can be opened completely no matter which floor, pleasant but nevertheless a security risk.

Good hotel about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. The only problem is with breakfast. Man finds no place or the buffet is no longer filled at 8 o'clock or one finds no more cutlery at the table.

From the outside, the Arcotel is not very important. But when you enter the hotel, you get to know the full benefits of the hotels. The breakfast is great and provides a great view over the Danube and beyond. The rooms are also quite ok and the bathroom is really nice. I can definitely recommend the Arcotel to anyone.

We checked in at the 29 12 evening and these staff at the front desk were very rude! Also, the room was very cold and the bathroom was very comfortable. The safe was also defective!
The receptionist said ironically if I had turned the radiator on?!
We left the room for 6 hours and although the radiator was very hot, the room was still cool!
The Lady the next day at the front desk was very friendly and compassionate, apparently there were several cold rooms!

Decent hotel. Room sober but good. By cons €20 parking for 24h is theft.

Staff is very nice, but at breakfast the tables are not covered and still dirty of those who were there before, the food is not replenished and food like egg dishes are not kept warm and are therefore cold and if you get up briefly to pick up something will be egg The full plate cleared!

Quite, comfortable place. Rooms are adequate. Neat bathroom. Just behind Danube adds the attraction to this place. Nearest super market is 600 meters away.

We are staying at the hotel at the moment and last night went to the restaurant for dinner, the food was excellent, the service is up there with the worst we have encountered in 30 years of travel.
1. The moment we sat down we were questioned by the waiter as to whether we were part of a cycling tour — we weren't.
2. The waiter returned several minutes later asking us what food we wanted to order, at this stage we had not even been asked whether we would like to order a drink….
3. We asked a couple of simple questions about particular choices on the menu and the waiter took great offence to us asking, although this may have been a result of the waiter not having a clue or interest about the food he was serving.
4. Eventually got a drink and dinner and had ask four times to see the dessert menu, was told twice by passing wait person that someone else will do that, eventually went to the bar to ask for the dessert menu and to order a drink, was told I could not order a drink from the bar, someone would take the drinks order at the table. It took another five minutes for someone to turn up with the menu.
5. Took this rare opportunity of interaction with the wait staff to order a glass of red wine, a short time later the waitress turned up with a glass of WHITE wine!
7. Prior to leaving asked for a copy of the bill and was promptly shown a screen on a hand held device, had to push the point to get a hard copy of the bill.

Friendly, clean modern hotel. Stayed here on our Danube River Trail bicycle vacation. We upgraded to a higher floor for 10 euros more per night. Great breakfast. Nice location.

Lack of adequate air conditioning made the room uncomfortably hot. The desk fan provided did little to help sleeping through a warm night. Also a room alarm clock would be nice. Otherwise location and views are very nice, and breakfast excellent.

Good spot along the river, decent restaurant with a nice veranda on sunny days. The rooms are not too bad, the normal rooms lack a chair and having the mini bar up on the wall makes the room seem unfriendly somehow. The shower room and bed are all comfy though. Have stayed a few times now and the service is usually very good.

Fourth time there for a business meeting on weekends. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Breakfast and lunch were okay to good. Biggest problems were the constant issues with the seminar rooms (projector doesn't work and no one around to fix it, catering and coffee breaks not available even though it was ordered, etc) and some of the staff, who range from unhelpful to unfriendly and outright rude. Definitely not worth the cost overall.

We drove here from Budapest and on arrival asked if we had to book a table in the restaurant to eat later. We were told by the reception staff we did not. On coming down later to eat, however, we were turned away and told they were so busy that they couldn't even offer us room service! The barman offered us a cold club sandwich that another guest had discarded and offered to warm it up for us! We were starving so ended up venturing out late at night in search of a place to eat. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location was great and room was ok. The bathroom was a bit small and difficult to manoeuvre around in. The curtains that black out the room didn't cover the length of the window so had light coming in. The breakfast was about same standard as most places but my partner was unable to find any coffee and no-one offered him any as per most places we have stayed. It's an ok hotel to stay at.

Even though the hotel is nice and employees at the reception very helpful, the service in restaurant is very slow, not asking guests if they want something else once their glass is empty. We needed to remind them to bring us drinks/meals which they forgot and even after a second reminder we did not get it. Very bad experience during our dinner as well as breakfest.

Average Hotel at 5 minute from central or historic. It has ample parking (quite expensive: 19 Euro for 24 hours)

Rooms very small. Best rooms to the Danube, quiet. Breakfast very good. Parking facilities very good. Price is very high for small dog. 10 euros would be enough.

We were to the Linz Marathon in the hotel. It was perfectly matched to the needs of the runners with the Pasta Party and breakfast 6:00. Very nice and polite staff. Rooms comfortable, clean and good equipped. Like to come back!

Very nice view over the Danube. Great sauna. Comfortable large room with decent bathrooms. A journey on foot is rather strange. The hotel can be reached only via an ugly parking area.

Basically, you will be treated really as a guest — I'm since many years a regular customer — but the Breakfast is from the offer and the support service is always bad. On the 25.12. We found a buffet offer that you can find in most of the village guest houses better, and although not much was going on, seemed to be the operation a little overwhelmed.

Beautiful setting with fabulous views of the Danube, very friendly staff, Breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires (only sparkling wine and salmon have been missing:) ). Room and bathroom very clean! We even received a welcome gift for our anniversary! The proximity to downtown and museums was pleasant at any time!

Great. I must congratulate the engineer from the reception service personnel to the strength of the plaster. I would particularly highlight the dark-haired of the two bartenders. On each of my questions, all mine are (no matter they were as null and void) was always extremely professional responds. I would like to say I even since 17 years in the high hospitality/hotelerie/catering work and I know who to ask I have to make or which respond to expect. The room was clean and sufficiently equipped even though my vorbewohner refilled the water from the minibar with tap water. Anything negative I had to find Yes ;)
for people who want to understand no sarcasm or irony I have mentioned I have the re aufgefuellte bottle not the staff into the shoes slide because it was prepared very professionally.

For us the weekend has been very well-liked. Nice welcome, quick check in. Clean room with a great view. Perfect Breakfast buffet — great selection. Very nice and very fast waiter. — we will be back!

The Zimmertüre was not well closed. The remote control was not sufficiently supplied with power. The Parking lot is at Night unfortunately charged extra.

For years rise we in the Arcotel in Linz, formerly Tourotel. The Hotel is very well managed and we feel ourselves always very well. Also the Team of the hotel has contributed a lot to our stay each time, so nice to make. A big compliment to the hotel management!

The whole hotel was clean and the view was amazing. The food was great to and the Wifi was nice.

Are many times I come here, and always happy for the service and rooms…

Room is clean with sufficient comfort. Location is ideal. Directly on the Danube. Invites you to an Evening drink and wind down the day. Breakfast convinced. Staff very friendly.

The heart of a hotel in the summer the terrace. The Service, however, was hundsmiserabel. Dirty tables, tables were not cleared which is especially the sparrows rejoiced in the plates joyfully herumspaziert. The Service Breakfast "a la carte" Is a struggle for attention to a waiter the trouble of making me a sticky menu to the rich, after 20 minutes, I was actually a lukewarm Latte Macciato with a small Breakfast. The Service at lunch was similar. Dirty tables and poor Tischeindeckung at a lofty price of 55 Euro for 2 lunch you could on the terrace to expect more. I'm not used to in Austria so unfriendly and unclean food to go. I really encourage you to a Inspectors on their terrace to send. Best at Breakfast time and meal times "a la carte" mfg.

With 10 Euro extra charge per night, you get the next higher superior and it actually pays off (marble bathroom, great views, very nice set up). With the simple double room, the beds are namely separated, the view is not so great. Very satisfactory. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. The room was neat and clean and the staff was very friendly. Central location, downtown, is zufus easily and quickly. With 56, 70 Euro p. N. 17 Euro Breakfast good price-performance ratio. (trivago booked).

The Arcotel is certainly one of the most famous hotels in Linz, therefore my tip refers to direction of Danube the less well-known Cafe. The terrace is the perfect end to a walk or enjoy the Sun. The prices are I think slightly above the average, ambiance and service are but worth it.

The hotel looks somewhat austere from the outside. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the staff, service, but especially the view of the Danube from the room! Sunsets and sunrises to miss. Ideal for a business trip.

We were the wedding day at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is suitable for then but more a hotel restaurant and less good candle light dinner, but the food was excellent and the optimal operation. Then we stayed in a superior room with views of the Danube. Just gorgeous and very romantic in the upper floors.
