Wonderful here. Great hosts. Great atmosphere.

Such an amazing place. My mum, sister and I always used the day spa here. Such luxury, we have had the most wonderful afternoons lunching and lazing in the pool after our massages. Paradise! Staff are always so friendly and accommodating.

We had a lovely stay in the charming McAlpine House with so much history of old Broome. We met interesting people and loved the warmth and friendly hospitality of the house. We would love to return as we felt welcomed and very much at home. A very special, unique place to stay in Broome.

Garden room was exceptionally appointed (easy access and many PowerPoints, which is often overlooked). Delicious and varied breakfasts each day. The team are great — Ronaldo’s will set you up for all the right experiences during your visit. Thanks Pinctada McAlpine Guesthouse, we will come again.

Pinctada McAlpine house is the antithesis to all the Broome resorts, boutique (only eight rooms), unique and historically connected to the story of Broome. It is a calm oasis, full of rambling decks, colourful artwork, a library and an aviary — this is where to go if you don't want a large resort experience, but a charmingly personal one. Marilyn and her staff are wonderful, so friendly and cheerful. And eating breakfast at the big table with the other guests is such a lovely way to start your day, and creates a real sense of friendship and comradery. I'm so glad we stayed here, it was a charming addition to our time in Broome.

Stayed here during a disappearing act on a milestone birthday. Our choice was the McAlpine Suite. Wow! Large room from a bygone era. The pool just steps away and the breakfast all to ourselves. I always like to choose these boutique hotels, and especially the ones like this, a former residence of a real live historical figure, in this case, a Master Pearler. The atmosphere really made our holiday, sitting on the latticed, plant-laden verandahs, lost in pearl-dreaming.

This was actually good value for money. We checked in on 1st June for 5 nights and I honestly recommend this place to everyone. Our room was overlooking the swimming pool which delivered us stunning views. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Everything about the bathroom, room or balcony was 1st class. I can say that lunch was very good. I would like to stay there happily, if I ever return to Broome.
