Review of RACV Goldfields Resort 4*

I recently stayed at the Novotel Creswick Resort, and I was not impressed with the room! The carpets were not vaccumed, not sure in how many years! The sheets were never changed in the 3 days that I stayed here, as I happened to be in the room on the second day when room service was being done. The room next to mine, room 112 which was occupied by my parents did not have proper heating. The hotel offered my parents to swap for another room around 7p. M in the night which was rather late to swap rooms as all luggage was unpacked, or they were going to provide them with blankets. The reason for me asking for the next room was because when I called I asked the lady at reception for 2 rooms close to each other, and she just asked me to book the rooms both under my name, so I was guaranteed rooms close to each other. The breakfast was of average standard with the same breakfast served 3 days in a row with no change! Also the food warmers did not have an option to keep them open when you needed to serve yourself. Basically it was difficult to open the food warmer and take the food at the same time as it would not stay open! This was way below standard for a Novotel hotel! I spoke to Ari at reception via phone call before I checked in and I mentioned that I would need to get a microwave to heat up some medication/food for my son. Ari responded that he would put in a request for the microwave. When I got to the hotel the lady at the reception said that nothing was mentioned about the microwave!. The lovely lady at the reception however, organized for a microwave oven to be brought to our room. The worst part was that there was no proper signal and no complimentary Wi-Fi, for a rather big hotel like the Novotel! I could not receive phone calls and make them due to the poor network. All staff were good and accommodating except for Ari who was rude and stand offish. He spent a long time on the phone when guests were waiting to be served, as this happened when I was checking out. I certainly will not be staying at this hotel again, and neither will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family.
