Great place great views, room service till 11pm Menu looks good too.

I normally don't give a bad review. We booked our atv tour and checked with the hotel guest service 3 times the day before and on the day that the staff confirmed that they can arrange transport to drop us off to the tour start point. Then when we got to the front desk the morning, the guest service staff told us that they are busy and cannot help with us (we only have 15 mins before the tour start), and ask us to walk to the tour start point (which is at least 30 mins walk). We were stressed and try to walked to the resort tour desk to get help, luckily the tour desk girls were very helpful, and running around to find a buggy to drop us to the tour start point. We were very disappointed about the reef view hotel guest service.

Hotel was great for a weekend away. The only downside was the rudeness of other holiday makers which shouldn’t be reflected upon the Hotel or it’s staff. Thanks for the laugh too Gino, your aggressiveness towards me in the lift on the morning of Monday 14th was more laughable than your haircut, which was for no apparent reason. Maybe teach your horrid child some manners and everyone else in the lift wouldn’t have shook their head in disgust. Room service was quick, we did the reef sleep over the weekend and after dramas getting back due to the boat dying in the middle of the ocean, we decided it was easier to eat in. Food was cooked fresh and delivered within 30 mins of ordering. Will stay here again.

The hotel is awful! Takes a fair bit for me to review and this was the worst experience ever! Room smelt of mould, air con sounded like a train and sheets were like cardboard! Would never stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Dated and filthy! We spent a week there and the lift hadn’t been cleaned once! QR check in apps for everything which made a mockery of by poor hygiene standards by housekeeping, finger marks all over inside lift doors snd the grab handles were filthy, dirty grout everywhere! Basic rooms, big yes, but very basic cleaning carried out! Won’t be back as it was poor accommodation for cost!

Wonderful, spacious room with a stunning view from the 15th floor. Fabulous pool alongside the cafe and bar and close to all other things to do and see. Staff go out of their way to help and all have great stories. None wants to leave. Nor do I. Come to Hamilton Island.

Disgusting dirty rooms and management didn't care. So much for covid cleaning. No quilt covers etc.

I have booked 4 months ago for my partner's birthday and the hotel was sold yo us as 4 stars hotel with reef ocean view and we paid $400/night. When we arrived we were given a room with two separate beds, there is a bad smell in the room, tiles in the bathroom are broken, furniture worn, dirty, and the hotel is very noisy due to unannounced construction works. Ive never seen in my 30 years of traveling a 4 stars hotel this bad. We tried to take to management and they offerd us even a worst room at a lower level!

Had our honeymoon here and it was fab, the welcome package my husband organised was very basic as he paid for it as it was our honeymoon. Other than that is was great.

Great rooms nice and big great manager greeted us at the front desk and then sent up wine and chocolates sails is a must for breakfast and wildlife is cool also breakfast with the koalas.

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Reef View Hotel, Hamilton Island. All the staff were courteous and friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. We were on the 16th floor and had an amazing view overlooking Catseye Beach. All the rooms face the beach. Unfortunately, despite the many warnings and recommendations by the hotel, many people still feed the cockatoos which makes them a bit of a pest. … I’d try to avoid school holidays here as the kids running around on the balconies outside your room is extremely annoying especially when you may want to sleep in late or have an afternoon nap. All in all, we loved our time here. We had a King Room which was spacious and had its own balcony. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels available. We would come back and stay here again without a doubt.

Maybe 3.5 stars! It was nice but not amazing. The only thing that is amazing is the view. The room was okay, not perfectly clean and one of our towels had a stain on it which made me question everything else. Housekeeping didn't fully clean our room each day, there were mugs left unclean and garbage left behind. They did provide a portacot but it was really old school. On our last day we also asked for a microwave which they brought up to our room as well. They did provide us with a late check out that was extremely helpful and the staff was very nice. The Porter's took care of our bags when we got there and the day we left which was very helpful!

Smooth experience right from the airport. Check-in was quick and we ended up with a reef view room with great views of the water, and boats going out and back from races during race week. Heaps of transport around the island but it's not far to walk anyway. Prices at restaurants and cafes aren't much different to Brisbane. All around great place to get away easily and reasonably.

Reef view hotel is great. Rooms cleaned daily. Need only put messages for the guests that just came in new daily not every one. Quick walk to free gym. A bit upset that you have to pay for mini golf $17 and $20 for snorkeling equipment. Free breakfast was great. Free shuttle to the shops and restaurants. Also free bus to each end of island.

We would like to sincerely thank the fantastic team of employees at Reef View Hotel for making our stay extra special. Our family stayed at the hotel in celebration of our wedding anniversary and the team made every effort possible to ensure we have a seamlessly enjoyable time. We would like to particularly thank Assistant Guest Services Manager Rodney Chamma for his high level of professionalism and friendliness. Upon finding out the reason for our stay, Rodney organized for a lovely gift to be delivered to our room. This was a lovely gesture and we are very appreciative of Rodney’s considerate nature. We look forward to our next stay at the Reef View Hotel!

This hotel is fantastic for families, particularly those with infants. The baby items provided make travelling with an infant so much easier. The rooms are high quality, definitely a good 4 star hotel. The views from the king Coral rooms are amazing, we saw whales from our balcony! The water pressure in the showers is great as well. Loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

Out dated, looks like a place from the early 90, s high prices on 4 star and the air con does not have heater mode bring jackets or you will freeze your ass off, diner takes over 45 minutes to cook, not a place I would recommend this will be my first and last time hear, bad experience so far.

1. Room — Room was amazing, we had the Ocean view, and besides the Cockatoos having a little meet and greet on the balcony, it was perfect. 2. Location — Very close to everything! I don't think we ever hired a buggy, easy to get in your fitness for the day while experiencing mostly everything Hamilton Island has to offer. 3. Service & Facilities — Not sure why its tagged as Free Breakfast not included, they offer a Free Buffet breakfast every morning (it's amazing). The staff were always super friendly and accommodating.

FANTASTIC place for those looking for a family friendly holiday or just a relaxing escape or even those looking g for adventure. All staff are extremely accommodating and the facilities are second to none. Highly recommended spending the extra $ on a Beachview. Waking up to and watching the sunset from your room is unbelievably rewarding to the soul.

Great room with an awesome view of the bay. Super friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was amazing (and kids ate free with paying adults). Kayaking, stand up paddle and snorkel gear was all free to use for hotel guests on the beach.

Friendly helpful staff, airport transfers and luggage taken direct to room for you. Rooms were clean, but can get stuffy as windows need to be shut (birds love to pay a visit) and no fly screens available. Green and Blue island buses run from directly out the front every 15-40 minutes. Family friendly with a decent breakfast variety. One of the cheaper accommodation on the island, but make sure you check your room account properly on checkout to avoid extra costs.

Excellent hotel with magnificent views! It surely felt like Paradise! Watching the sunrise and sunset everyday was spectacular! My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much! The General Manager of the hotel surprised us with a bottle of Champagne already waiting in our room upon arrival as he knew it was our wedding anniversary! That was so very thoughtful and we are very appreciative! The folks at the reception desk, porters, and servers at the Pool Restaurant were absolutely wonderful and very friendly! Joseph our waiter greeted us every morning at breakfast and was very hospitable. Room was spacious and very clean! A fantastic stay for sure and one we will forever cherish! After reading some of the Google reviews on Reef View, I was tentative to stay here; however, I couldn’t have been more pleased by this stunning hotel and its staff members. The room was spacious, stylish and clean. The hotel staff are every where and are always happy to help. However, the best aspect for us was the water activities included within the price. This includes Kayla, standup paddle boards, wind surf, snorkel gear and small catamarans. This touch was exactly what adventurers could ask for on a relaxing island, plus is great for families too! There are a number of amazing pools and restaurants to visit. I cannot wait to go back to Reef View!

A spectacular view from the room.

Great location, multiple breakfast restaurants and multiple pool which has access to the beach. Friendly staffs and location make this hotel the best on top of quick delivery the lugguages however there are some missing parts as well like uncleaned plates in the room. Generally I love it!

This was our favorite hotel of our 2 week visit. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was on the 6th floor and had incredible views of the ocean. We had cockatoos greet us daily and 2 kangaroos as well in front of the hotel! The room was very large, modern, and clean. We were able to snorkel and use the paddle boards which were included with the reservation. We have no complaints about this hotel at all!

I stayed here 5 years ago and have been itching to go back ever since. The accommodation was fantastic. The view over the bay was incredible. We were treated to a bottle of champagne on our arrival and upgraded to the sea view room. The staff really looked after us well. Downstairs there is a fantastic pool bar and mini golf for some chill out time. Highly recommended.

The room and the bathroom Sumptuous buffet breakfast with every well of God. Unfortunately it is not possible to have half board, on the island there are not many restaurants and they are not at good price.
Very clean pools.
Towel equipment every two days and toiletries.

Beach Hotel in a lovely place. Very large room with terrace.

This was likely the first hotel built on the island. Architecture is a little dated but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. We also ate at the restaurant below which was good. My husband and I booked our stay on the island last minute and because of that we stayed at 3 different hotels during our vacation, Reef View, Whitsunday Apartments and Beach Club. This was the cheapest and was well worth the expense. I have attached images from our room, this was a 'partial garden/ocean view' which made it cheaper. In the US this would just be ocean view and twice the price. So when booking consider that. You can get an ocean view for garden room prices :)

The hotel was beautiful. We loved that our room fee included breakfast and snorkel hire. It was 200m from the beach and had gorgeous vistas from the balcony. Transfer from the airport was simple and efficient as was the check in process.

A bad hotel. The rooms are large but dirty. Huge building and slammed. In the room it was bad smelling.

Like others have said rooms have fantastic views but they're a little dated, stains on carpets and sofas, could do with deep clean. Breakfast is fairly good. Be aware if you're near the elevators they're loud! Sounds like a plane using reverse thrust but to be fair we haven't asked to move as we're heavy sleepers. Would not stop here again but it seems many do. If you can get a good deal consider it. Note on the sofa picture, the cushion is meant to be the same colour as the base!

Nice big rooms. Great view over beach and reef! Great service and transfers and luggage services made the airport transport easy. Only downside was the dated bathroom and the shower that chose its own temperature at random every 30 seconds. Great location and memorable experience.

Very well located hotel with excellent service & views from nearly all rooms. Room was needing a good clean though in particular the bathroom. The lounge chairs were also too dirty to actually use. We absolutely love the island & have now been there twice, it would be nice to see the rooms improved though especially given the cost per night. The Reef View breakfast variety was also good though the noise was a little overwhelming especially when there was also music playing. Some sound boards installed in the ceiling would be a good idea.

Best buffet breakfast. Love the omelettes. Love the pool, love the gym, love the departure lounge, love the bar, love the view from my room. However they should have a loyalty program cos I go every year. Kids eat free is excellent.

Do not let them put you in room 110. Immediately above the bar which stays open til midnight. Even if people are only talking everything echoes its way up the open staircase and you hear it all. After I complained they moved me, took around an hour from when I first called them. They simply shouldn't put people in that room if they can avoid it, but hotel clearly wasn't at capacity as they moved me to 13th floor. Didn't end up getting to sleep til gone midnight and I had an early start for work in the morning. Very average.

Hamilton Island is a very beautiful island. The Hotel was a nice stay for our 3 days. The service was pleasant. Unfortunately the lift was noisy in our room. All in all the whole Hotel could be a little bit cleaner.

We are here staying 4 nights and love it! The room is large and the view over the beach is fantastic. The breakfast buffet is really good value and the staff have all been exceptional. It is super close to golf cart hire (the island mode of transport) but it's also just as easy to walk to all the shops and attractions. The outdoor elevators are also very cool. We also made full use of complimentary baby accessory hire. The staff bring your bags up to your room and all the baby gear we'd elected for (pram, Bumbo, cot, bouncer, bath & high chair) was waiting for us in our room. The walls are thick and the balcony blinds combine for a lovely sleep free from noise. It's also super convenient that you can charge purchases to your room, from most places on the island! Very happy with the services and activities available. Great environment for some real relaxing.

We just stayed at the Reef View Hotel for our honeymoon and they were excellent. They made sure we got into our room as early as possible and gave us a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of Cateye Beach. The breakfast buffet was the best my husband and I have ever had on a holiday. You can request eggs to be made on the spot whatever way you want. They gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolates with a card from management which was a lovely touch. The water sports included for resort guests was fantastic. We got to see turtles when we went paddle boarding on our final day. Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hamilton Island. Only tip for the hotel would be the make the Fiore Moscato available by the glass.

Great view, staff excellent. Rooms good, if not great. Some minor quibbles but overall would consider coming back. What could be improved — well, one lift was not working so delays going up/down and frequently lifts full so have to wait for another. Perhaps one of the many victims of the recent cyclone. Don't understand why there isn't a toilet at the front pool — guests need to go into the hotel dripping on floor. Free hotel Wi-Fi but restricted to one device per guest, with no apparent way to reset (so be careful if have mobile, laptop, kindle and tablet…). But again, have enjoyed it here.

The rooms are a decent size with a fantastic view of cats eye beach. Very comfortable rooms. Its only a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The staff have been very helpful. We will visit again.

Reef View Hotel did an absolutely amazing job looking after guests during and after cyclone Debbie. The staff and management went over and above in the face of extremely difficult circumstances always still smiling and going the extra mile. From the maintenance guys who risked their lives during the storm to assess broken water pipes outside our room while the storm was raging to waiters and cleaners who worked tirelessly even after losing their homes to the management who kept guests informed at all times and fed not only hotel patrons but everyone stranded on the island in the days following the storm for free. Wow! What an incredible team. And what a location — best view on the island even in a cyclone.

Lovely place to spend days of pure relaxation and fun and activities. Place taken care of in every detail. The view from the rooms is very good.

Beautiful place. The aircon wasn't very cold but it was still refreshing. I love the spa idea with the views out past the balcony over the water!

Not brand new but overall a good hotel with a sea view private beach and large pools totally recommended.

Room not fully clean. Shower fan doesn't work. TV needed retuning twice. Music system not operational needed an engineer. Toilet and bathroom smell bad. Toilet in a cupboard. Ongoing fan system right outside door very loud disturbs sleep.

First time in hamilton island，enjoy the balcony ocean view of the spacious room. However holiday homes would be one of my choices next time!

Good sized rooms with huge bathroom. We got room 313 which is a "Garden-view room' however were pleasantly surprised as we still had beautiful water views from the balcony. Tip: Make sure you always keep the doors shut if you don't want greedy Cookies ransacking your room looking for food :) We included buffet breakfast during our stay and had the choice to either use the Pool Terrace Restaurant downstairs or across the road at the Sails Restaurant. — The Sails Restaurant was less busy/noisy and had great views however found that the buffet set up and choice was better at the Pool Terrace it just does not absorb noise as well. Our room also included free Wifi which was not only limited to our room but was available across the entire island, very handy! The hotel pool is on the small side but well appointed as the deck chairs are always nicely shades by the surrounding palm trees there just never seem to be enough… not a big deal though as we simply hopped across the road to the other huge lagoon style pool with pool bar. The usual Watersport's activities were also free of charge such as kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and or catamarans you just needed to be mindful of the tied. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and good value for money, there is only one area where there is room for improvement which is housekeeping as the cleanliness of the room in general was not up to standard in particular the bathroom.

Bungalows were amazing. Service was spot on. No room service in the bungalows though which some people wouldn't like. Would stay again here.

Island low price entry-level hotel, the rooms, the bathroom is pretty large. From cats eye beach is very close. Value not bad!

Excellent view, friendly and helpfull staff everywhere. Room is clean and neat, and has every thing I could need. Nothing broken, but carpet could use a shampoo I feel. Walking distance to marina, but bus every 15 min anyway. Loved it, would reccomend!

All the staff I dealt with were friendly. Even when they were very busy. The facilities are great. Loved the incoming/outgoing waiting area with shower, towels and couches. Wi fi included in the accommodation. Good was delicious, if not a little over priced.

Stayed 3 nights at Palm bungalows and loved it. Great service, awesome bungalow with big bathroom, separate toilet, full kitchenette and king bed. Very clean and short walks to harbour and other activities. Will come back.

Great views. A great base for exploring the islands. A little disappointed at the choice of places to eat here on the island. Also at the abundance of kids. Not quite the island retreat we had hoped for but nonetheless a great holiday destination. October 2014.

Cattle style resort. This is a mediocre resort. It is high rise hotel not beachfront. Rooms have ocean views. Checkin is disorganized, slow and cattle style. Porter staff are great. Food optikns mediocre. The place us busy crowded and impersonal. If you don't have high expectations then is OK.

Hi I just wanted to write a review to say that the Reef Hotel was great, Chris in the Bar down stairs made us very welcome and was very friendly, I want to mention that while we stayed at the Hotel my Mum took a fall, we could not speak highly of the service we received, Special mention to John and Will for all there help, also the doctors and paramedics, special mention to Russell, we couldn't of ask for more help. We had a lovely time and found the hotel well serviced and close by to everything. We stayed 8/8/14 for 5 nights.

Great place to stay while on holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff. Buffet brekkie was fantastic and good value. Hotel is a little tired and old, but they make the most of it. Rooms were clean and what you expect from the website and the cost. Great location and awsome views.

After admiring the views as we flew into Hamilton island we jumped on a bus to come to the Reef View Hotel, we initially booked a garden view room but were upgraded to the an ocean view room on 14th floor. Once getting inside the room we were impressed by the room itself, the amazing view but also the fact we had a complementary bottle of champagne with a note from the general manager wishing us a happy honeymoon. The room is large with a king sized bed, cleaned daily and just feels nice and open compared to some hotel rooms. All the staff at the hotel (and the island as a whole) have been friendly and helpful anytime we have approached them for any of our requests. The included breakfast has been good and the food in general has been delicious although a tad pricey (but comparable to Perth anyway). We would definitely come back in the future and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Wow we can not recommend this hotel and Hamilton Island enough, the friendly customer service was beyond anything we have experienced, yes we have experienced fantastic customer service in the past but the consistency of all the friendly staff right across the island has blown us away! As for the Reef View, I won't lie, I did at first when we approached the hotel think "this is going to be interesting" but upon the friendly and informative greeting we received when checking in, it only got better! We had a room on the 14th floor which was simply breathtaking! Our room was beautiful and fresh, it does look like it has been renovated recently and it has been done beautifully! King sized bed, huge open doors to balcony which expose a stunning view of the Catseye beach. Yes this is a slightly pricey holiday but the island is immaculately presented, customer service is A1 and the restaurants (in particular Co Ca Chu) are all to die for! You must see this fabulous part of the world to believe.
