Review of Rambutan Resort 5*

The location of this hostel is really great, not far from the beach nor the inner city and it also looks very modern and has a nice beach style to it. It actually looks and feels more like a hotel than a hostel. So for that I would give it 5 stars, but if you want a place to relax and be able to sleep through the night than this is definitely NOT your place! The sleeping rooms are all on the third floor where the rooftop bar and the pool area is (which is quite cool on first sight) but the music plays untill midnight and when you come back from an exhausting day trip, there's no chance you'll find some sleep before midnight. And when you've finally fallen asleep you get woken up 4 times at night because stupid guests run around the pool area (which is just one meter next to your door) and scream around and hit the glass doors shut — who surround the pool — and that sound is super loud so you WILL wake up. And if you want it to be quiter you would have to close your only window which faces the pool and yeah ist still very loud after that. And the air gets bad in your room… Great. And the night staff does nothing. Like there are cameras everywhere right? And they can hear the noise for sure. How can they let this happen every flipping night and not do something about it? For that I wanted to give this place no stars because I haven't been able to sleep through a single night I've stayed there, but as I've said before, the hostel looks great and the room of mine was very clean and comfortable. So yeah if you are one of those inconsiderate people making noise late at night then you'll love this place. If you want a place to relax then you definitely should look for something else…
