I’ve been in quarantine at Crowne Plaza. The staff are helpful; my room is a bit noisy but has good views; food is very meaty and too many powder egg breakfasts; sweet fruit juice drinks instead of more natural drinks.
The carpet is only half underlayed, which made my legs sore.
Sheets have some polyester content in them, which is a bit sweaty.
I wouldn’t say I had a bad experience, at all. Definitely a few improvements would help when you can’t leave your room for 2 weeks.

Great place, amazing location.

Checked in on Saturday 3 July and here for 14 days quarantine. Staff have been amazing and super helpful. I’m easy on food so happy so far. Ordered groceries from local supermarket to augment the hotel food with fresh fruit. Love the view!

Having to stay here for 14 days I was very hesitant. However the room and the staff has been absolutely fantastic and caring. Could not have been looked after more, under the circumstances.

Of all the hotels to do a 14 day lockdown in we are very lucky to got in here. Service has been first class. We have a two person bath great views from our balcony. And more food than you could eat in 28 days and we are only up to day 7

Stayed here over the long weekend. Great stay! Lovely clean room, great facilities but the best part was the friendly, helpful and efficient staff who did a great job accommodating everyone on a busy weekend.

The room we stayed in was great, clean and great views. The facilities were great also. The only concerning thing was the food being served from the relish bar. Dinner was so so. My linguine was overcooked and sloppy. The dessert was stale. The worst was the breakfast. Cold eggs, uncooked 'toast', undercooked bacon. Not many selections on the menu so the food should have been fantastic.

Absolutely recommend very helpful and friendly staff very accommodating.

Not a real good time to stay in nice hotel but neded a bed for the night and it was 'very' reasonable. No pool, no gym, no Foxtel no revolving restaurant, no room service, no minibar and skeleton staff. Pluses are, room great, 22nd floor, ocean views, free parking and close to the beach & shops, free Wi-Fi and two double beds for Kynen & me and the two staff on reception, friendly helpful & weloming. Thankyou CPSP.

Everyday breakfast was indeed beyond imagination at the Relish Restaurant. They served wide varieties of pastries, eggs and westerns great delicacy. They even have section for fruits platters and vegetarian section. Great ambience and service to be here seated just beside the wonderful long swimming pool with beautiful landscape of Crowne Plaza Hotel. Had dine at the famous Revolving restaurant on the 26th floor. Superb beyond imagination, while dining could view the whole of Gold Coast coaster night beautiful view revolving slowly around. Great dining experience with lots of fresh baby lobsters, muscles and oysters. They even had a wide range of deserts cakes and delicious pastries tarts and ice creams of all flavors. Many authentic Chinese and western delicacy to serve all round of crowd. Moreover, the selection of salads and greenery were fantastically fresh and lovely. Frankly speaking you guys did a better job over here than the Hanlan’s buffet at Novotel. We experience a warm welcome smile and cheerful staffs over here than a cold atmosphere feeling at the Hanlan’s buffet and limited choices of food taste. Well Done, Beautiful 4 Winds Revolving Restaurant, keep it up the standard. The swimming pool was pretty cool and lovely to swim with the wonderful jacuzzi that gives a sensual wonderful feeling to the whole body. Rejuvenating and revitalizing the mind, body and soul. Awesomely great experience. Overall, fantabulous awesome stay.

Just finished a work conference at this awesome hotel. Service from the point of getting quote for conference all the way through to finishing and leaving hotel after 2 day conference was exceptional. Everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. I would reccomend this hotel to any business looking for a venue for a conference. You should be extremely proud of your awesome staff. We came for a special occasion to celebrate a close friend’s wedding, we had an early flight and didn’t sleep well the night prior as we were preparing for the event. We thought we can sleep well and recover at the hotel but not here at Crowne Plaza surfers paradise. As we entered the room there’s a damp smell that filled the room as well as dust that filled the place. We sat to rest for a bit and suddenly started to itch and our body started to fill with red spots all over. Near the kettle and the mini bar ants were roaming (which I quickly captured the ending before they escaped, of course we didn’t have our tea). We called and the manager came who was not understanding one bit or genuinely wanted to help us. I showed him the video and explained the situation and he said he needed to see them with his own eyes, so I asked him to wait. He didn’t stay and said there’s not much he can do other then giving us insect spray. During this time my friend had to take a cold shower as her body was filled with red spots and she was attempting to cool down. As the manger left I continued to itch while staring that the dusty room hoping my friends’ body is less itchy. Oh and did I mention while this was happening the internet connection would drop out so often it was better not to use it, yep no internet. Don’t be fooled by the uploaded pictures, the reality is different. So if you’re here for a holiday Crowne plaza isn’t the place to be at!

Absolutely beautiful! I was only there 1 night but would have loved to stay more. Room was large and clean with a small balcony, good air conditioning, big corner bath and shower (very spacious bathroom). The hotel also had a pool and tennis court which we didn't use but could see from our balcony, both looked very well kept. Ordered room service which was a reasonable price, large serving and quick. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as cost seemed excessive. Lots of nice cafes near-by and very accessible public transport (right across the road from a tram station! )

The entree and mains portion of the buffet is exquisite. The seafood was fresh and was tasteful. I can say the same for the grill portion of the buffet. Lamb cooked medium rare and pork belly was crispy. 4 stars because the dessert portion was lacking. It tasted as if it was ordered outside. Sticky date pudding however was nice.

Excellent location. Positioned well for tram, shops and restaurants. Room was a god size with everything you need for an overnight stay. Shower and bath are amazing, good size amid water flow. Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great stay, didn't have high expectations as I hadn't used this chain of hotels in the past. On arrival we had an upgrade to a classy large room, a nice start. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, which was useful on arrival. Highly recommend eating in house in revolving restaurant for dinner or breakfast the food and view are well worth it. Will definitely return for another stay!

The hotel is amazing. Their buffet on the top floor is much better than expected and definitely does justice to the large cost per head. The rooms are top notch and their pool is warm in the summer. The Asian restaurant on the bottom floor though leaves much to be desired. Pretty much Expensive Chinese food wearing a fancy hat.

Having had a platter of wine tipped all over me on my birthday and the poor waitress wiping me all over with a serviette, I then had to suffer a 'High Tea' overkill with sweets and little savoury choices late in an afternoon. No sign of authority? Had to drive back to Brisbane saturated and smelling like a brewery… I don't drink.

Gold Coast is a beautiful city to go but if you would like to have a good quality room with full functioning in-house internet and available drinking water, choose a better one! I would book another one better because I would not want to put my work emails left unresponded and my family unknown about my situation… For a full memorable business trip and holiday with beautiful Gold Coast, consider not picking up Crowne Plaza Surfes Paradise until you are fully aware that they would change the way they serve with very simple internet service request and at least some complimentary drinking water! Gold Coast has better hotels to pick up, I am sure!

This is still one of the best hotels on the gold coast. With the tram stop across the road make travel to surfers paradise so easy. Located a short stroll from the beaches of the Gold Coast and just minutes from Pacific Fair shopping centre this has to be one of the picks of the hotels on the Gold Coast. Reasonably priced and with the revolving restaurant at the top there are so many options for business travellers and families alike.

Decent overall and the staff very friendly, helpful. Good for a work trip. Just find somewhere else to eat than the in-house restaurants.

Good but not great. Rooms are dated, the Spa rooms are just a spa bath in the bathroom, TV is limited and old. Don't bother with the more expensive "Gold Tower", the main tower is just as nice, if not nicer. I'd really like to see some sort of security on gold tower, as anybody can use the lift to go to any level. No pass required. Beds are really comfy, and the couch is a nice addition. Balcony is a nice touch, but the furniture on it is a bit of a joke (old hard plastic) My tip. Grab a King room in the main tower and ask for a corner room.

Went for the revolving restaurant. Views and locations were great food had plenty of variety just building inside is a bit dated. Service was very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent hotel and great location. The room has an excellent view of the city and the beach. Located close to small eatery, restaurants and conventional center and tram station. The food was good and room was well maintained and tidy.

Have just stayed for 4 nights at this excellent Hotel and would recommend this Hotel to everyone. The price was comparable to other places on the Gold Coast. The service we received was great and faultless, the meals were all excellent and was always over full at either breakfast or dinner. Has dinner at 360 last night and it was fantastic. We were in the main tower on level 22 in room 2208 and our view could not have been better and the housekeeper Stella was brilliant. She deserves a pay rise after our 2 whirlwind children deposited their toys throughout the room and everyday everything was placed neatly on the fresh made beds. The wait staff in both the buffet area of a morning and in 360 of an evening were also great. We will be back again and would love the same room. Thank you Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise for an excellent stay. 5 stars easy.

Nice room and bed. Restuarant had a great breakfast. Unfortunately poor service at reception we tried calling them twice and no one would pick up.

We went there for high tea in four Wings. The food is fine. And the 360 view is great.

I took some time for my body to get use to the rotation whilst eating, food was decent, ribs were overcooked, as was the pork belly. Seafood range was fairly limited. The view was beautiful.

Magnificent views. Very clean and tidy. Staff could not be more accommodating and friendly. An absolutely pleasant and relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Crown Holiday Hotel Series, this is a bit disappointing …
The curtains are transparent, without an additional layer of opaque curtains, and they feel like they have no privacy.
The noise is poor, and strange sounds are often heard. Clearly is a three-person room, do add bed method, but toilet utensils, towels, bath towels, tea bags, etc. Are only prepared two people.
After the reaction, only add a bath towel and shampoo. The hotel is environmentally friendly, do not provide toothbrushes, slippers, mineral water.

Food was good didn't like our seat people walking close to us all night would have been better if we were closer to window but they are for bigger groups would not go by ourselves again not romantic place for couple. Staff were lovely very attentive.

I'm a regular visitor to this hotel, and each and every time, the staff are professional and polite. Hotel rooms are well kept and the room service menu is good quality. Definitely try the hinterland chicken! Also, the light rail stops immediately outside the door, so it's very easy to reach pacific fair, surfers paradise, and the fantastic restaurants at Broadbeach without the need to hire a car and navigate.

My sister in-law was staying here for work, and my daughter and o came to visit her for the day. Lovely hotel, staff were friendly, food wasn't too bad either. Would recommend.

Stunning Gourmet 3 tier Seafood Platter @ Relish Grill and Bar it was stunning! All seafood are of good quality. We got the table overlooking the pool which is perfect. Waiter is friendly and professional. Great value with Groupon, $59 incl. Wine for week nites!

Clean well appointed rooms. Cracking view of the beach and sea. The pool was well kept and refreshing. Staff were pleasant and it was a short walk to most amenities. All in a pleasant stay.

Staff are extremely helpful, they go above and beyond with there service. We have 2 children, 8years and 12years. Children can be trying most times. The Crowne Plaza have made everything so much easier with there great service. Truly professional! Highly recommend a visit…

The restaurant, Four Wind, is okay. Only worth it for the rotating restaurant experience. The price paid for the lunch limited selection is definitely not worth it. I understand that alcohol would be extra, but they also charge soda for buffet. My opinion is that only go there for high tea for the view.

Initially very disappointed. 5 star hotel yet we had 2 beds for 2 adults and 3 children no coffee or sugar no bed sheets on arrival. Didn't receive any of the welcome packages entitled to. And room service was massively inflated prices ($9 for a bowl of chips). The ocean views are gone due to new high rises being developed. In saying all this I complained on departure with every intention of just paying and moving on and they took $180 off the bill without asking. So I feel as though it would be worth another go.

Comments for Crowne Plaza ~ Namiwa Ho Hong Kong Crowne Plaza is a very nice hotel which located at 2807 Gold Coast Highway, Surfers Paradis QL, 4217 AU. I stayed at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise Hotel in 7 December 2017, with double bedroom, superior ocean view. My room number is 2404 which is a spacious room with big balcony. There is an excellent, professional and helpful staff namely Steven Wulf who helps me to book the Skydrive, calling the shuttle bus to change my booked schedule in order to fit the time for Skydrive. Besides, he also helps me to take all luggage to the shuttle bus while I check out the hotel. Whereas there is a worse staff namely Oscar who is responsible for luggage department same as Steven Wulf. Oscar who is unwillingly help guest to settle any problems or issues. When I early finish my Skydrive and come back to Crown Plaza hotel, I seek help from Oscar to see whether he can help me to call the shuttle bus for changing the booking time. He replies that it is impossible to change the booking time on the same day. He said it must be one day notice for changing the schedule time. He even do not want to try for me. He just gives me the telephone and asks me to call myself. I have ever seen a worse staff like Oscar, escially in a such well-known hotel. Other staff, Ethan who is also very nice, helpful and polite. In general, the hotel is good, location is quite convenience and nearby has few restaurants.

Great location & views. OK room. Had problems with AC and had to shift to another room. Major issue: rooms in old tower don't have a safety latch so housekeeping has no way to know if you are inside or not. I would skip this hotel and go somewhere else where at least a link chain or something is provided and no one can just walk in using card key.

Had dinner at the Four Winds Revolving Restaurant. Absolute delicious buffet. And breathtaking views. Recommend the 5.30 dinner sitting to experience both day light and evening atmosphere.

Service and room was adequate, but for the price was expecting a bit better. Had an issue with scanning the parking ticket 4 out of the 7 days we spent there. Would not recommend.

Very nice hotel, with sizeable rooms and good customer service. Well located near tram lines with decent access to the beach via a short walk. A good selection of restaurants although all are a little pricy.

Great hotel. Stayed in gold tower and got upgrade to King Deluxe Suite. Huge room with awesome sitting area looking out to ocean. Breakfast at the rooftop revolving restaurant was fantastic. Top location but close enough to Cav and all the things to see and eat. Also close to Casino and Convention centre. Wifi included with this booking and parking is modest fee. Would happily stay again.

The revolving restaurant on level 26 was highly disappointing. Food selection was limited and at night no views can be seen. Highly do not recommend going for dinner when dark as views are non existent. Price was outrageous. Staff were courteous and friendly however. Overall would not visit again.

Excellent place to stay. Chris on reception, who took my booking was great. Thank you for the lovely room. First rang & spoke to someone overseas (Phillipines I think) was hopeless. Couldn't understand. If the call hadn't fallen out & spoke to someone here I would have gone somewhere else. Breakfast was great, staff helpful & nice.

A hotel that goes above and beyond for its guests. All transfers arranged via modern stretched limousines, the rooms impeccably clean. Helpful staff that arranged day trips to Byron Bay and whale watching tours etc. I can't think of a single thing that warranted attention. AAAAA+ in my book.

Lively staff here. Knowledgeable about the local area. Building's a shade of happy c. 1990s pink, rooms are clean and adequate. 4 restaurants here. Close to Pacific fair and about 1.2 km from Cavil Avenue. Well done.

Excellent location! Perfect for a quiet weekend away as the hotel is halfway between Cavill Ave and the Casino. The tram stop is conveniently located outside the hotel which is handy. The Executive Room was clean, had great views, comfortable bed and pillows, toiletries included. The service we experienced was great! We had an issue with the noise from the neighbouring room. Without hesitation, the reception staff wanted to move us to another room immediately which we were happy with. She also informed us that the noisy guests would receive only one warning as there is a strict no party policy. Concierge also helped us with our bags when we had to change rooms. We found the staff to be helpful, friendly, professional. We've stayed here 4 times now and will return for our next weekend getaway.

Pretty good! The photos online look a bit shabby so I was worried, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nice and felt quite luxurious, good views, and staff were outstanding. Only drawback would be the quite dated furniture, but it didn't compromise my comfort.

Four Winds Revolving Restaurant was a great experience. Food was of highest quality and staff were fantastic. When my father burned his finger on a food server bowl, staff were quick to help out. Downside was paying $69 for lunch per person.

The room we were upgraded to was a beautiful one bedroom apartment on level 17 with a spa overlooking the ocean. The hallways leading to the room were a little outdated and were probably done in the 70s or so but the room itself was beautifully decorated and a lot more modern. The kitchen was huge and lead in to an open loungeroom with full length windows with a view of the ocean and hinterlands. There was a spacious balcony of the lounge and another one off the bedroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable to boot! We were both disappointed we only had the one night to spend there.

I went to the Gold coast on my way back from a business trip to Sydney. And stayed for a few nights as a treat to us well we were in Australia. (Originally from New Zealand) The accommodation was very expensive and over priced. But thought hey its kind of a one off thing so lets just do it so for 3 nights $703.40 later and a $50 bond we were away laughing. Sort of. We got to the room and it was hard not to notice the smell of the room was awful. Kind of a damp smell. I was starting to wonder if the room had actually been cleaned the shower had hair all around and the sink in my opinion seemed anything other than clean. The paint around the rail on the balcony was all chipping off and Ash from smoking all over the floor of the balcony. Which obviously ended up on the bottom of my feet. (Being a smoker myself) I can understand this and I always use a ash tray provided. But when you come to a hotel you would expect if the guests prior to us were smokers the least they could do is use a ashtray or one of the cleaners clean it before our arrival. On the first night we decided to have a quiet night in and relax. Planning on getting room service quickly changed our mind when we seen the very limited selection and the price was ridiculous. On the Friday we went out during the day only to come back and find that our bags had been gone through. Both the suitcase were done up and tidy.

40th Wedding Anniversary so I thought we would go somewhere nice, Enjoyed the revolving restaurant in Shanghai's TV tower so thought would try our own revolving restaurant. Bad idea. Decore is old and the table at which we sat was badly chipped. Seafood, prawns were OK but oysters were very small. I had 2 the size of 10 Cent pieces but most were the size of a 5 cent piece. Crabs were obviously the winter variety with no meat just gristle, maybe a teaspoon in each. Tried the chefs specials, my wife who loves any sort of Salmon left hers and I had the soggy honey pork. The Asia food, well I think maybe it was cooked that morning and then heated up, OK I didn't really expect food like in Asia but I certainly expected better than I can get at my local takeaway which it was not. Desert options were pretty ordinary. Basically I can get better food at my local RSL for $15 than I got at the Crown Plaza. The only good thing about the restaurant was the staff and I tipped them accordingly. If Australian law allowed one to demand their money back I would have done that. Basically $40 for the 2 of us would have been alright seeing it is a revolving restaurant but at $158 I expected a much nicer and maybe a little bit creative, not food that belongs in a feeding trough.

Very nice rooms in the gold tower. The marble bathroom with hot tub is opulent but a little dated. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet.

Well, the rooms are a bit dated, hot water pipes scream and the carpets are musty — it needs to be renovated. I guess the room features are nice. The buildings are too crowded for great sea views, though that is hardly their fault. Try the revolving Restaraunt for views! Note — The TV reception is horrible for a pricey hotel. Other hotels re-bouquet foxtel and local TV signals as DVB-T over coaxial for their customers and it looks great, update your system guys.

I just stayed here for a full week in a Superior Room on 7th floor. it was amazing. It's the nicest hotel i've stayed in (haven't been to many, mind you). The staff are all extremely friendly, and will do anything for you! The room was kept clean and refreshed daily by the amazing housekeepers, and the view even from a superior room (non-ocean view) was AMAZING. Climate controls worked well, and the complimentary items (like shampoo and stuff) were all really good :) Very well priced. Only criticism would be that the food (room service, and the downstairs restaurant) was overpriced and underwhelming. Everything tasted quite bland.
