Amazing place to stay. Great friendly staff, clean and the food OMG better then any pub we've been too in Sydney.
Highly recommend if your travelling through Hay you book to stay here the night.

Absolutely beautiful meals in the restaurant jess, Matt and staff were absolutely amazing thanks for a great night out for our daughter 21st dinner and the cake was truly amazing.

It was a pleasure staying at the Bishop's Lodge Motor Inn over the last few weeks. The food and wine choices in your restaurant were first class. Please pass on special thanks to Gemmalee for her excellent and friendly service that made the stay there even more enjoyable. Alex.

Rooms are always comfortable and clean. I think the cook in the restaurant was confused when they served their Surf and Turf with a creamy garlic sauce then wrecked it when they added a gravy sauce to it as well.
Surf and turf should only have a gorgeous creamy garlic sauce and not gravy as well as the garlic sauce.

This place is a god send. The staff are welcoming, the food is superb, the rooms are modern and very comfortable and the shower is hot. Thank you so very much for looking after us all.

Picked it the first time for it’s great location, easy access from the highway but setback enough for quiet. Came back because it was above average in all respects.

On booking in the reception was very nice and the meal at restaurant was delicious and beautifully served. Managers were lovely people. Very nice rooms. Thoroughly recommend this motor inn.

The accommodation is by far the best in Hay. The managers are wonderful and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. The restaurant and food is the best in town and they now offer even better value for money with a continental breakfast included in the room rates.
I highly recommend a stay here you won’t be disappointed.

It is well situated just off the highway but rooms are behind the main building shielding it from road noise, clean, tidy are very spacious I definitely recommend it.

Will stay here again. The key requirements for a traveller were all excellent. Cleanliness, comfortable bed and bathroom were all excellent. Check in and check out was friendly and efficient. Melissa runs a very good operation. Could not fault.

The best place to stay when crossing from east to west. Very new and clean with large rooms and sizeable bathroom. We had dinner at the restaurant and the service was great with the meal turning up not long after we ordered! Management were friendly and helpful — we will stay here again on our return trip.

A predictable motel look — red brick, long, white company 4wds nose-in parked outside each room. But inside was cleaner and better fitted out than most motels I've stayed in. Good Wi-Fi, friendly receptionist. Restaurant was closed so I can't comment on that. It's 1km out of town and slightly pricier than other options, but nice, and for a motel that's a win. Would stay again.

Only stayed one evening, but room clean and neat. Even though just off the highway no traffic noise. A quiet motor in worthy of a longer stay.

Really clean & comfortable. Modern bedroom & bathroom. You can open windows for fresh air, which makes a big difference to how you sleep! Friendly, efficient owners. Has a restaurant, which was well patronized, fairly pricey but very good meals & good size. On the Eastern side of the large round about, enter from the side street as you approach. It is on the main highway but you do not notice the traffic at all. You do notice the cars traversing the gravel stones in the car park, however. Weird. There are around 37 rooms, which means if you've tried elsewhere, trying to get something cheaper & they're booked out, you might well be able to get in. It will be worth it as the rooms are very good. If your looking for something in the mini bar, just check, as ours was empty on arrival. It made no difference to us as we rarely ever consume any of these items, except milk. South Hay Hotel is within a short walk if you like a bit of real country ambience!

Top spot on the 'half way' mark between Canberra and Adelaide. This place has a good restaurant attached and the staff were friendly and helpful after a long drive. Rooms are great and meet all the needs and are better than some rooms I have paid twice as much for. I will definitely use this place again on my next trip.

A very nice experience, very cool on a hot day. Great styling and architecture, wonderful gardens to stroll through.

Will definitely recommend the Bishop's Lodge to anybody planning a stay in Hay or just a stop over on the way to or from Sydney. The room was very neat, modern and comfortable with Plugs on BOTH sides of the bed (its the little things) and a small but useful kitchenette. It was just so refreshing to stay at a place whose staff have pride in their work after the $#! +hole we stayed at in Sydney. Top marks! And the lady on receptions was very welcoming as well.

We were attended to by extremely polite and friendly staff. We enjoyed the meals and wine. Great place to stay. Very clean.

Modern, comfortable and clean, the Motor Inn is located fairly close to the highway. There is an on site restaurant and breakfast is available delivered to your room. Even with the air conditioning on the quiet setting, the road noise is not obtrusive. There is a small pool area at the front. Friendly staff are very helpful and welcoming.

This was a little gem. The rooms were beautifully clean, modern and spacious. With kettle microwave and toaster if needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Wee eye berri pleasantly surprised. There's also a restaurant in the hotel. It is on the sturt highway but we couldn't hear the traffic. Behind it is a lovely walk along the river and into town. A nice way to check out Hay — which was good to explore.

We stayed here on our way back from Jindabyne. The room was very nice. Neat, clean, fresh and bright. Comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant which didn't have many people. It was quiet, the staff attentive. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner. The prices were reasonable too. ☺. We were happy we stayed here. The only thing was being close to the highway, there was a fair amount of road noise. Being tired from the long trip we didn't notice after a short while, and th e bed was very cozy.

We didn't stay at Bishop's Lodge but we had a dinner and it was delicious. We had calamari and a pie. Staff was friendly.

Queen room is huge and very clean. This motel appears to have been refurbished recently and looks amazing. Really nice service and the manager stayed later for late check in.

Lovely modern motel on the A20 highway at Hay NSW. Situated adjacent the historic Bishop's Lodge and close to other Hay museums and places of interest. Excellent and friendly staff. Very good restaurant with excellent fresh food cooked by a high quality chef. Comfortable modern rooms.

On arrival staff was very friendly. The room I had was very nice. Very clean. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We have stayed a few times to break up a long trip with our toddler. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating. Today the restaurant was getting booked out early so they made a pre-emptive early booking for us so we didn't arrive and have to eat elsewhere. You don't get that level of customer service in many other places.

Nice n modern motel… really well presented… out of town… could be a bit noisy traffic… COULD BE is the term.

Absolutely gorgeous spa room we are staying in. Salt water pool is amazing. Staff sooooo friendly. Restaurant beautiful and the food amazing. We will be back on our next trip ☆☆☆☆☆

On recent trip to Adelaide ex Sydney stayed at Bishop's Lodge Motor Inn Hay — beautiful clean rooms and the restaurant meals were fantastic with choice of entre or main size meals. We loved the Pork belly and the schnitzel. Stayed on way home as well. Good breakfast and staff very friendly.
