We stopped by, looking for a wine tasting, and found out that they do lunch and have the most beautiful gardens. The staff were helpful and very accommodating. The wines were nice. We will be back for lunch another day for sure.

Had a fantastic stay, very friendly service, a fantastic dinner. The gardens are extensive and lovely to wonder around. Great to have such a beautiful seasonal garden surrounding the accommodation. The cellar door next door has great wines. This was a great stay out of town — a beautiful out of town retreat.

This place is a must visit. Extensive gardens to wonder around, wine tasting from the cellar door and excellent food. The guest house is very comfortable and well appointed making the whole experience fantastic. Great for a quick wine tasting, a long lunch or a full weekend away.

The ambience and service gets 5+ stars. I called only two days beforehand and was able to be squeezed in for a weekend lunch. The dining area under the trees was beautiful, made even better by perfect weather. It's impossible not to feel happy and relaxed in these surroundings. Food was okay — the bread that came with the charcuterie plate was amazing. The charcuterie was good too. Mains and dessert were okay. If I'm back next time I'll probably just order a bunch of entrees as tapas!

Travelled up for business and booked 2 rooms for one night. A gorgeous place, with exceptional service. Even though we booked last minute just a couple of hours before arriving, and didn't get to check in until well after our host was going to go home, we were greeted a smile and with fantastic service — even offering to light the fireplace for us to relax by after we settled in, and were happy to oblige with our need for an early breakfast. Unfortunately we didn't get much of an opportunity to explore the grounds as we just needed a bed for the night and had to dash our first time. When I'm next in Armidale I'll definitely be back and making sure i've got some more time to enjoy this flawless gem!

Wow wow wow what a spectacular place. Grounds and house and accommodation are amazing. Staff can not do more than enough for you. Highly recommend this place but a one night stay is just not enough. We will be back.

Hubby and I had a great time at the tasting and the young lady who led us through it was lovely and made the entire experience wonderful. The muscat and shiraz we took home is top notch; we look forward to visiting again.

I got one of the big rooms with a spa and also had dinner and breakfast. All very pleasant in a great old home. They could do with a decorator and some furniture updates but the overall experience including wine tasting was great.

Went to our 2nd "A Day On The Green" on the 4th of March. They appear to be getting even greedier with the price of their very average wine for the event. Gates open at 2pm, security confiscates ANY drinks, (except water because they are made to offer free water inside, so if you bring your own it actually saves them money) from your esky (all soft drinks of any type, I even saw one guard confiscate two small plastic bottles of pre mixed cordial off an elderly couple). Bottles of the winery's own products are then on sale for about $30 until 4.30pm, and from then on until the end of the show, another 5 hours approximately, you can only purchase tiny plastic cups of the pre poured wine at highly inflated prices. You can buy as many cups at a time as you like mind you, so obviously it is not due to "responsible service of alcohol" restrictions.

We ended staying at Petersons because the first accommodation we stayed at in town was disgusting. At short notice we rang Petersons they looked after us and saved an almost ruined holiday for us. Generous sized rooms great bathrooms, clean unadulterated water no nasty chlorine like in town. The king size bed was the best I have ever slept on. If your after a bit of luxury stay at Petersons the breakfast was great. If your a lover of fine food and wine don't miss this place you will regret it.
