Best course I've played. Donated a lot of balls to the water features. But would highly recommend a round there.

What a great golf course. Couldn't play the new course, as too much surface water. Played the old course. Now considering how much rain fell, the course stood up pretty well. Facilities were second to none. Great cart with gps. Great bar and restaurant. Would highly recommend this place to any keen golfer. 9 / 10

Great course's and awesome staff but an information booklet in the room would be handy for guidance for other activities around and restaurants for visitors away from the area but would certainly recommend highly.

Love Playing Golf at Riverside Oaks and on either course and the staff are always so accomodating.

I have been critical of Riverside in the past, under old management it seemed the course was never really maintained the way it should be. As of writing this (Sept 2020), I can say I’ve never seen the two courses look so good, especially Bungool, which was a nightmare to play when it first opened. The rough is now manageable and fair, it plays like a traditional links course and is an enjoyable and fair challenge! Well Done to RSO!

Played the original coarse last Saturday in a party of 3. Fantastic bacon and egg rolls to start then onto the coarse which is in great shape. Proshop staff very helpful and pricing for social golf on a coarse like this is fantastic. Will certainly be back soon. Cheers guys.

My Husband and I have just returned from a fantastic Weekend at Riverside. From the moment we walked through the door the staff were there to cater to our every need. The staff were professional friendly and genuinely nice people. The accommodation was perfect and the food amazing.
The golf was the icing on the cake… the course was in great condition, challenging and thoroughly enjoyable!

Very bad experience. Guests were not well-behaved and created lots of noise. Hotel management looked concerned on the surface but do not actually take steps quickly to resolve issue. Place was very dark at night. Hotel seems very thrifty with lights. Location wise this place isn't great. For the same money, look for another place closer to the city or town as the whole area is very isolated. Unless you want to play golf, probably skip this place.

Got an awesome 2 days of golf on both courses with a night's accommodation, breakfast off crazy golf deals for only $300 … amazing, thank you cash well spent.

Two terrific golf courses. Overnight accommodation very comfortable and the meals were also very good.

Certainly a great golf course, but the 19th hole has a great menu, drinks, service all at reasonable prices. Great for a function.

Food at the Brasserie is good with reasonable prices. Pizza was delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. Building is starting to look run down and in need of repairs. Still has the same furniture it had 20 years ago. Didn't play golf.

Pictiresque and challenging golf course with some of the biggest greens I've ever seen. Plenty of kangaroos & wildlife. Overall condtioning was good. Carts are compulsory.

Great room, obliged for late check in. Great staff and bar food.

Two great golf courses (one runs along the Hawkesbury River), thousands of kangaroos, a driving range, putting green, chipping green, awesome clubhouse, fantastic accommodation and brilliant staff. What more could you want? A truly world class golf resort.

Great set up and excellent courses. Not as challenging as expected but very enjoyable.

Bungool Course is very nice design, not overly long but challenging with excellent couch fairways and good greens (too slow on the day). A minus for no water on the course, no toilet and the bunkers were in poor condition (kangaroos not the real resson, mostly lazy golfers. Care must be taken with weeds, especially Parramatta Grass and numerous Burrs. Clubhouse was good with reasonable prices on good food and beer! It was hot!

Great golf and stay package. First class service in all areas made for a great time. Highly recommend.

Stunning location, great facilities, quality course. Kangaroos join you on the course, which you look over from the huge club house. Definitely worth a visit!

Great 36 hole golf course. The old 18hole is great and the new 18 is very challenging.

I played here just a few times, some corporate games and some our social club games. It is a golf resort that should be nice to stay for the weekend and play. Check what rest of the family will do before committing. I say three little kids playing and dragging their own buggies. There are two golf courses here. I prefer Gangarru as I spend more time in rough. The other one, you can forget about the ball even though that course is rated higher. Nice and relaxing. Kangaroo population is on the rise.

The club house has a pool table the food in the club hose is not the best but ok you need to drive a one lane road to riverside oak no light at night the golf course is beautiful and big. It has kangaroos on the golf course good food for the wedding!

Beautiful place for special events, makes you feel first class! Loved the surroundings and sense of wilderness it provided.

This was supposed to be a special anniversary stay for us. From the website the pictures look amazing and the room magnificent, in reality it was still quiet nice, the room was large and so was the bathroom. Unfortunately it was glamorously ruined as this resort is not well managed at all, when we arrived the concierge moved us to a different room because the original one we booked had not been cleaned yet, considering we arrived at 5:30 pm they had since 12:30 to clean it. No room service available and the only restaurant was also closed… When they changed our original booking they also removed the included breakfast, on top of that charged us more money. When we went for breakfast the morning after we found out about the bungle and we were refused service, which was very embarrassing. We had the printout with the included breakfast which the concierge kept but when they looked for it they couldn't find it. In the morning very very early the gardening was so loud and woke us up which was so bad as we were looking forward to a good sleep in. The staff also play pass the blame game very well as none of them took any responsibility, all they said that they would refer tot their manager back in China!

Strongly recommend this championship course, I prefer Gangurru (old course) over the new course Bungool. You will see lots of lovely kangaroos chilling on the course! Maybe it's a good idea not to do anything intimidating tho.

Travelled from the Central Coast with friends for a couple of days of golf. Played on the new course the first day and to be honest, wasn't impressed. Lost quite a few balls and the greens were not great. However, accommodation was lovely, hot showers and clean rooms. The next day we played on the original course and couldn't fault it. Beautiful course, lovely big fairways, wonderful experience. Enjoyed seeing all the wildlife around the course, lots of kangaroos and baby joeys. Just keep an eye out for the crows, lost a few balls. Staff were very helpful and accommodating and breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be back.

I arrived with 7 other mates on a Monday and played the new course which is a great course but as I am about a 25 handicapper lost about a dozen balls (likewise for a few others in our party). We had carts as per norm but hate when the cart restricts where you can travel what with the gps restictions. (Always reversing away from around greens). There is no drinks half way point on the new course which sux but they provide an small esky to take a few drinks of your own. We stayed at the lodge overnight which was good. Showers had good water pressure and TV was a smart TV with internet in the main area. Lots of space and room outside for enjoying the view (lots of roos and kookaburras) and for your smoking buddies. We played the old course on second day. Course is excellent but with the same gps cart issues. We had a great day though. We also had a go on the driving range before our first round which was very handy. Had a good experience overall and the food was pretty good too. Was there on a golf coupon for $150 for two rounds with accomodation and a continental breaky. Good value overall but some phone devices might be outta range at times out there. The staff in the club area were nice but got a bit flustered and mixed our coffee orders up a bit… there was only us 8 in the club at the time. But they were quite helpful mostly… oh and the pool table needs a big upgrade!

Played golf last Sunday on the bungool course. Very nice. Greens were still affected from coring but still a great course. Staff were very friendly. Thanks once again from everyone in my social golf club.

In regards to weddings, from my point of view as a professional cameraman, over the past 10 years this venue has still not learned how to treat us. The cameramen and photographers must be fed where they can see the reception room so we don't miss any action. We need to have our meals at the same time as the guests so we actually get to eat before speeches etc begin. By the time of the reception, we are often well into a 12 hour day and have eaten nothing. Riverside Oaks has also still not consulted with a stage lighting expert. The dance floor area, bridal table and podium area need to be lit properly with professional lighting that does not cause issues to camera's. They also need to invest in proper light dimming controls. These issues have remained unchanged for at least a decade and are the reason I don't recommend the venue to our brides. A great shame considering the beauty of the property. Wedding couples pay us for our best work. Occasionally a venue hampers our efforts.

By far one of the best places I've been. I don't know if it's 5 star but it must be close. Great views, lovely staff, very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Reasonably priced Motel and Golf resort style. Food is incredible.

Riverside was the best place I could have chosen to have my wedding. We spent Friday through to Sunday with only the best service and an even greater wedding coordinator (Shout out to Emma). Everything was perfect with no complaints. The food was complimented, the service was exceptional and everything was on point. Would recommend Riverside Oaks to everyone I come across :)

I Rang up the day before the Thursday open comp here and asked to book as a single in the open comp if there were spots available, was told by the staff in the pro shop that a tee time was available at 930am with two other players and was booked in for then Made the 2hr drive from Wollongong to Riverside Oaks the day after on the Thursday and when I arrived the staff member in the pro shop told me he had to check with the two players I was on the time sheet with and ask if it was ok that I play with them.

We were lucky enough to host the best day of our lives at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort on September 10, 2016, and we couldn't of asked for a more perfect day and venue. We booked the venue in 2015 after meeting with the wedding coordinator Emma. She showed us around the property and we knew instantly it was where we wanted to say "I do". What we loved most about Riverside Oaks was that it's not only beautiful but also intimate, and everything could be held in the one location. We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue making it easy not only for us but our guests as well. We also loved that you could stay overnight, another added bonus. From the moment we booked, Emma, Jacqui and the Riverside team provided us with the highest level of service and were in touch with us regularly. They made us feel completely at ease, answered every question we asked, helped coordinate with suppliers, and met every request. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect or run more smoothly. The staff set up what was needed, were attentive, polite and helpful. The food was also a high, with a number of guests saying it was the "best wedding food" they had ever eaten, and we agree! Riverside Oaks provides the whole package — beautiful venue, great staff, fantastic food and drink packages plus more! We would not hesitate to recommend Riverside Oaks to any bride and groom-to-be's.

Today my family and I dined at Riverside Oaks for the Mothers Day Lunch. We used to come to the original Mothers Day lunch about 10years ago when our children were younger — it was a wonderful buffet back then with a fully packed function room, 5 star carvery served by the chef, beautiful array of seafood and desserts. We had very fond memories and decided to go again this year. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. The carvery consisted roast beef already sliced on a platter and a very dull looking chicken. The rest of the main buffet was 2 ordinary potato dishes, 1 pasta, 3 salads… plus oysters and prawns. Then desserts. They ran out of oysters by 12.30 (it started at 12). They did not replenish the fruit trays. The service was terrible. They had very little for children to eat (it was a Mothers Day Buffet). The staff bringing the trays of food out really didn't seem to care about food running out. There was nothing "Special" or "5 Star" about today's buffet. To be frank, I've had better food in a cafe. No wonder there was only a third of the people at the venue compared to the old buffet. I believe the catering has changed hands. Some serious overhaul of this function is needed and some leadership needs to be shown to the staff. Our table had not been cleared and a member of our table had to request it was done by one of the 3 waitresses standing at the bar having a chat! We constantly had to get up to order drinks.
